Chapter 50 Lori (Please continue reading)

Hearing the sound, Haven turned to look at the wooden platform opposite.

A group of elegantly dressed people sat on the platform, and in the center of the group was a portly man holding a silver wine cup, watching the martial arts arena.

As soon as the knight next to the nobleman finished shouting, the burly man standing next to Havent walked towards the training ground, came to the weapons rack, picked up a wooden spear, and jumped over the fence.

The same knight who had been competing against the wooden spear mercenary was now at it. Seeing that the knight opposite him did not attack, the burly man paced around the arena, then roared and attacked the knight with his spear.

The knight twisted his body to dodge the wooden spear that was thrusting toward his chest.

Unexpectedly, the burly man realized that Xu Huang's attack was just a feint. Seeing that his wooden spear had missed its mark, the muscles in his right arm tensed up suddenly, and the wooden spear changed direction instantly, sweeping towards the knight.

The knight was visibly surprised that the mercenary had a backup plan, but his fighting instincts kicked in and he quickly drew his sword to block the mercenary's horizontal slash.

The force of the collision separated the two, each taking a few steps back. The knight, having regained his footing, finally showed a change in expression, and after regaining his balance, he sped towards the mercenary.

However, this burly man was clearly much stronger than the mercenary from before. The two men's weapons clashed, making a series of loud bangs, and in the blink of an eye, more than ten rounds had passed.

"Okay, stop. You've passed."

The knight standing on the wooden platform stepped forward and called out to the two people below. Upon hearing the voice, the two stopped and stepped aside.

"May I have your name"

The knight standing on the wooden platform looked down at the burly man holding a wooden spear.

"Ander"

"Alright, Ander, you go wait over there, next one."

Hearing someone call his name, Haven looked around and, finding no one else there, realized it must be him. He turned and walked to the weapon rack, grabbed a wooden sword, and jumped into the arena.
"Child?"

The wooden sword knight glanced at Havent, who only reached his neck, and frowned as he asked...

"No, I'm an adult now."

Seeing the Cavaliers' doubts, Havent chose to lie through his teeth.

"Fine, I won't go easy on you because of that."

Seeing the disdainful expression on the knight's face, Haven ignored it, pressed his left hand to his face, and peered at the sword-wielding knight through the gaps in his fingers.

“Knight, underestimating your opponent can come at a price, Skuyomi!”

The knight ignored the rambling boy, holding his sword in his right hand, the tip of which touched the ground as he quietly watched Havent.

Seeing how dismissive his opponent was, Haven shook his head slightly, then turned the wooden sword in his hand upside down and leaned forward slightly.

"Sir Knight, be careful!"

The instant he finished speaking, Haven vanished from his spot, and the knight standing opposite him suddenly narrowed his eyes.

With a muffled thud, Haven's wooden sword struck the knight in the stomach, causing the knight's body to bend instinctively from the heavy blow.

Seeing this, Haven raised his wooden sword and slammed the hilt down on the knight's back. The knight, who had been hunched over like a shrimp, straightened up again under Haven's attack. After the two created distance, Haven kicked the knight in the lower back, and the knight, losing his balance, fell face-first to the ground.

Seeing this, Havent stopped attacking and waited for the verdict. However, the knight who had been humiliated was clearly enraged. He got up from the ground, brandished his wooden sword, and charged forward.

"Stop, Ant, isn't this embarrassing enough?!"
"Young man, you did very well. What's your name?" The nobleman sitting in the center of the wooden platform stood up, walked to the edge of the platform, and looked at Haven below.

Looking up, he saw a fat nobleman smiling at him.
"Will, Will Hill"

“Very good, Will, excellent technique. You go wait over there. Hall, including this young man, how many are there now?”

The knight standing behind the nobleman replied respectfully.
"Sir, including him, there are now nine people, but we are still one person short of the number you ordered."

The nobleman stood by the wooden platform for a moment, as if he had thought of something.

"Nine is fine. Take them to the reception room. I have something to say to them."

Arriving at where the winners were sitting, Haven felt a little embarrassed to see everyone staring at him. He flashed a bright smile and greeted them.
Hi everyone, have you eaten yet?

Feeling bored and no one was paying attention to him, Haven found a seat and sat down.

"The Baron summons you. Follow me."

Haven, who was sitting on a stool idly glancing around, heard the sound and quickly stood up and followed the crowd out. Soon, led by the knight on the wooden platform, the group arrived at a room.

"Please wait a moment, the Baron will be here shortly."

Just as Haven was about to reach for the kettle on the table to get a drink, the door creaked open, and the sitting mercenary jumped to his feet.

The baron who entered waved for everyone to sit down. Haven noticed that behind the baron were a little boy and an old man who looked like a butler.

"Everyone has worked hard. Let me introduce myself first. My name is Triink Suir."

I believe you all know why I hired you all. My son, Lori Sueil, has awakened magical talent, and I plan to send him to the Royal Academy in the capital to study.”

After saying that, he pushed the little boy behind him in front of him.

Haven sized up the little boy, who looked to be only eleven or twelve. Seeing so many people, the little boy's expression became flustered, and he instinctively hid behind Baron Suier's arm.

"For some reason, I am unable to arrange for my knights to escort you, so I have no choice but to entrust this task to you."

This is Simon, the butler who will accompany you to the capital. Once you have successfully arrived in the capital, he will issue you a certificate from the Adventurers' Guild to settle the escort fee.

I hope everyone will do their best. Simona will arrange your accommodations later, and you will depart early tomorrow morning.

After saying this, Baron Suier took the little boy and left the house.

"Adventurers, we'll set off at six o'clock tomorrow morning. You can choose to stay in the castle, or if you'd like to spend the night in Poring Town, please come and meet us early tomorrow morning. I'll show you where we'll eat and where we'll rest."

After the Baron left, the old butler stepped forward and addressed the crowd.
After checking out the places to eat and drink, and remembering that I had already said goodbye to Uncle Wells, I stayed in the castle, waiting to depart early the next morning.

outside the gate of Suil Castle
"Little Lori, when you get to the capital, you must study hard. If you need anything, just write to me."

Baron Suier reached out and touched his son sitting in the carriage, then turned to the butler beside him and whispered...
"Be careful, move quickly, and don't camp in the wild; stay in towns or cities."

The old butler nodded vigorously, and the group set off under the watchful eyes of Baron Suier.
