Chapter 16 Aurelion
On his way to the meeting room, Haven kept thinking back to his conversation with his teacher.

The conflict between the nobility and the church has been intertwined since the founding of the English Empire, and even the most senior historians find it difficult to explain the complex relationship between the two.

In their sweet moments, the two could jointly wage war against magicians, and countless magicians died in the anti-magic campaign.

When relations are strained, the two sides can even wage religious wars that can last for a century.

"The church is pleased to see the current situation unfold. After several days of analysis, the turmoil caused by the Church of Death has dealt a heavy blow to the North."

Hevent rolled his eyes when he recalled the gloating look on Solis's face when he told the story.

"Pah pah pah~~~"

As he reached the door, Haven heard a loud banging on the table.

"You parasites of the empire, lackeys of the gods, do not even think about extending your reach into the North."

We Northerners can handle the problems on our own territory.

Pushing open the door, I saw a young man dressed in red aristocratic attire roaring at a clergyman sitting at one end of a table.

Earl Hyland and Earl Morley sat at the other end, watching the farce unfold with grim expressions.

The middle-aged man, dressed in a pure white robe, sat in a chair, calmly looking at the agitated young nobleman in front of him.

“Baron Raven, please watch your words. You must show reverence for the gods, or I will file a complaint with the Noble Council regarding your inappropriate behavior.”

After saying that, he took off his gold-rimmed glasses, took out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped the lenses, looking at the noble youth in front of him with a playful expression.

Looking at the other person's expression, Raven seemed to have been greatly provoked. Standing at the door, Haven felt a surge of blood rush from his neck to his head.

"Fuck it."

Boom~~~~
"Ouch~ my goodness~ that bastard spilled the wine on the ground."

Baron Raven, knocked to the ground by the sudden impact, was momentarily stunned. After a few moments, he turned around and looked over. Who had been so reckless?

"Young Master Haven? What brings you here?"

Seeing the Earl's son lying on top of him with no intention of getting up, Raven's mind went blank for a moment.

Seeing that Raven's complexion had returned to normal, Haven immediately stood up and extended his hand to Baron Raven.

"I'm so sorry, Lord Raven. I don't know whose drink spilled on the floor. I didn't see it and slipped, causing you to fall."

"Ankut! Ankut! Have the maids clean up. If any of you gentlemen slip and fall, the Hylan family will be laughed at for a long time."

Once he calmed down, Lavin was sweating profusely and quickly grabbed Havent's hand to stand up.

"It's alright, it's alright, Young Master Haven, it's good that you're not hurt."

Seeing the two men's disheveled appearance, everyone present laughed. Ankut took the opportunity to direct the maids to come in, tidy up, and refill the water.

"Hehehehe~ Kevin~ Your son is very smart. I think I should hand over my position to him in the future."

Hearing his old friend's teasing, Earl Hylan smiled faintly.

"He's still far from it. The Inspector General of the Imperial Montlot Province isn't someone you can become just by being clever."

Earl Maurice watched Haven's performance with a smile.
"In the end, they're still pretty good. They're all the hope of our North. Speaking of which, my daughter is fourteen this year. She looks like Wendy. Young people should have a lot in common to talk about."

Seeing his old friend's smiling face, Earl Hylan cursed under his breath as an old fox, and looked at the five people sitting opposite him, saying in a deep voice...

"Let's deal with the immediate problem first. Clearly, their rush here means they want more than just something simple."

"Yeah, that's right. How can we give up when we haven't achieved our goal?"

"Havent, what are you doing? You're so clumsy and don't act like a nobleman at all."

This is a meeting room, not a place for you to fool around.

Hearing the old man's cursing, he rolled his eyes so hard they almost reached the sky. "Old Deng, I even installed it for you."

"Ah~ I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. As you know, that battle with the Dark Church was really too dangerous."

I'm still feeling dizzy. I heard the adults from the Dawn Guard have arrived. I haven't met them yet, so I'm hurrying over to see them.

However, the Dark Order proved too easily defeated, and it was truly a pity that we didn't get to witness the might of the Dawnguard.

After saying this, he bowed to the church members sitting on one side of the table.

The middle-aged man sitting in the middle of the group watched the unfolding events with great interest, then pulled his glasses back up and greeted Haven with a smile:
"Ah~
Hello, you must be Earl Hyland's child.
Truly a young man of great talent
I am Aurelion Iselamar, it's a pleasure to meet you.

May the holy flame illuminate your path forward, and may its radiance bless you.

Seeing that the other person had given a very formal self-introduction, Haven immediately adjusted his frivolous expression, stood up straight, and answered seriously.
"Greetings, Your Excellency Bishop. My name is Havente Hyland, an ordinary person. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Hehehe~ I am not a bishop, I am just an enforcer of the Church of Light, and you are not an ordinary person either, dear Haven."

Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that the priest who claimed to be an enforcer was very young, looking to be no more than thirty years old.

Sunlight streamed in through the window on Aurelion's side, making him appear incredibly warm against his pale blond hair, and his amber eyes looked at him with interest.

"Ah, my lord, you are so humble. I believe the eternal sun will always shine upon you."

Father, gentlemen, the castle has prepared a banquet, and I think there's no problem to discuss tomorrow.

The Dawn Guards have traveled a great distance to provide support; the territory of Hailan must treat you with the utmost hospitality as a token of our gratitude.

Upon hearing this, Earl Hylan stood up and bowed to Aurelion.

"Lord Aurelion, this was indeed a breach of etiquette. What do you think?"

Aurelion stood up and performed a divine gesture towards the crowd.

"That would be wonderful. Please forgive me for the inconvenience. I'll go to the camp to arrange the guards first. See you later."

After saying that, he left the meeting room with the other four people.

Watching the Dawn Guards leave, Earl Hylan breathed a sigh of relief, picked up the Blackthorn Wine on the table, and took a big gulp.

"Damn it, those lackeys of the gods, those damned vampires."

We absolutely cannot agree to this; they shouldn't even consider it.

"

"All right!"

At Count Morrie's angry shout, the nobles fell silent.

"You've all worked hard, go back and rest first. You can go to the banquet later if you want, and if you can't control your emotions, just get some rest."

Upon hearing Earl Morley's words, the nobles in the conference room left in twos and threes.

"Son, when did you wake up?"

After everyone had left, Haven pulled up a chair and sat down.

"About an hour ago, I went to see the teacher first. He said we might be having some problems, so I came to check."

Morrie picked up the crystal glass and swirled it; inside was his favorite mead.

"Hehehehe~ There is indeed a problem."

"So what exactly happened? The teacher didn't explain it very clearly."
