Otherworld Bone Dragon Operation Guide

Chapter 278 The Fate Master Strikes

Chapter 278 The Fate Master Strikes

The necromancers chanted incantations with lyrics adapted from existing lyrics. They echoed each line Hansster sang in perfect unison.

At each climax of the music, they would shout in unison and then unleash a concentrated barrage of fire. Magical energy poured down like a torrential rain, and their knights fell like wheat being harvested!

"What the hell is this?!" Strick lamented inwardly.

He had to realize that the bards opposite him had mastered a completely new tactical system. The different colors of the glow sticks held by the necromancers represented different tactical roles and focused fire rhythms!
This is a scene never seen before; such discipline and organization are unheard of!

What's even more puzzling is that the same song suppresses one's own side but amplifies the enemy's?

This doesn't conform to the laws of magic at all!

Strick felt his worldview crumbling, and his hand holding the sword trembled.

****
The sheltered valley base.

On the tablet, Su Ming stared intently at the crucial battlefield scene.

Unable to replenish their weapons in time, Violet distributed a large amount of alchemical materials, allowing the necromancers of the Bone Mad Machine to use them as they saw fit. Unexpectedly, however, these individuals unanimously wasted some of the resources on glowing effects.

Those hastily made staffs had golden rays representing the Gospel, white rays representing Newman, and blue rays representing Hans St.

This is clearly their signature color in support of the musicians!

Su Ming was speechless at this otherworldly version of the cheering stick, but he had to admit that the effect was surprisingly good—not only did it stabilize the situation, but it also plunged the enemy into chaos and panic in the face of this incomprehensible tactic.

According to Su Ming's tactical plan, the first wave of reinforcements that attacked from the Divine Grace Sea must be repelled independently by the Bone Mad Machine Group!

Just as he was intently observing the battlefield situation, a sharp radar alarm suddenly sounded. Su Ming immediately switched to the base's monitoring screen: five kilometers away, a large number of ground targets were rapidly approaching!

"Damn it!" Without time to think about why the enemy had appeared in the rear, Su Ming quickly issued an order: "The base has been ambushed! Iron Crown Guard First Squad, come to the rescue immediately!"

"Received!" Daphne's clear voice immediately answered in the channel.

The Iron Crown Guards are elite combat troops sent by the Cold Mountain Kingdom, serving as the reserve force for the first phase of this operation.

Su Ming originally made this arrangement because he was worried that something unexpected might happen at the three battlefields of the coal mine, the Divine Might Prison, and the Divine Grace Sea. However, he never expected that the rear base would be the first to encounter a crisis!

In footage captured by drones and remote cameras, the leader is a middle-aged man wearing glasses, followed by hundreds of metallic figures moving in unison, with folded wings on their backs.

Su Ming quickly sent the image to Zi Jin: "Help me see who it is."

In the air, Violet had just killed a choir member and casually summoned his corpse into a skeleton. While maintaining her shield, she took a moment to pull out a folding tablet to check something.

She recognized him at a glance, and her voice tightened involuntarily: "It's the Virtuoso Edlutz!"

Upon hearing this, Catherine was shocked: "Edlutz? Does that mean his puppet corps is here too?"

"It should be," Su Ming said in a deep voice, quickly analyzing the details in the image. "The people following behind him are clearly not ordinary humans!"

During this period, Su Ming studied a lot of information about the Temple of Light. The strongest person below the Saint rank in the organization was this Edluz.

However, according to intelligence, Edluz, who is in charge of the Church's special function of "Nirvana," should be stationed in the Holy City year-round!
"Su Ming, evacuate immediately!" Zi Jin said anxiously. "I'm coming right away!"

"Elisa!" Su Ming shouted sternly, "Carry out your mission! Annihilate the Radiant Chanter and the choir without giving them any chance!"

"Can--"

"Observe battlefield discipline!" Su Ming said, somewhat annoyed.

"Is the Ironcrown Guard Second Squad also being recalled?" Daphne asked.

"No need. The second squad will continue to serve as the tactical reserve." Su Ming regained his composure and began to adjust tactics based on the latest intelligence.

The Iron Crown Guards cannot be mobilized in their entirety; otherwise, if anything goes wrong on the main battlefield, they will lose their ability to save the day.

As for the Fate Master and the Puppet Troupe who were attacking with overwhelming force—

A sharp glint flashed in Su Ming's eyes. Perhaps, a fight is inevitable!
He waved his hand, and a jar of caviar flew through the air and landed in his palm. Su Ming used magic to cut open the metal lid and casually tossed it into the air.

A green blur flashed by, and a petite figure caught the falling can with perfect grace, not spilling a single fish roe.

Qiluo had already learned how to elegantly enjoy this high-class delicacy. Maintaining her human form, she held the can, using a silver spoon that appeared out of nowhere, and ate bite after bite. Her pink tongue would occasionally dart out to lick the fish roe from the corner of her mouth.

Ten seconds later, she squinted her eyes contentedly and tossed away the empty can she had licked clean. Su Ming tidied his weapons, then reached out and grabbed Qi Luo's ponytail as she was about to leave, his movements clearly much more practiced than before.

"Let's go, let's entertain the guests!" Su Ming said.

"Hmph, I've never eaten your food for nothing!" Qi Luo pouted.

****
Divine Might Prison Battlefield.

"boom--!"

With a muffled thud, Paladin Gendel's powerful punch, imbued with all his fighting spirit, slammed down, sending Headmaster Havel staggering back several steps.

However, Havel's counterattack was even more fierce: the moment he retreated, the high-level water magic "Suffocation Entanglement" suddenly exploded where he had been standing.

Tentacles formed from the water burst forth like venomous snakes, tightly constricting Genndal's body.

Just as Javier was about to deliver a fatal blow, a sharp blade flashed, and the assassin Silver Mask made his timely move!

Havel resisted the silver mask, only to find a soft emerald green light descending from the sky, dispelling the cold water snake coiled around Genndal's neck.

Behind the two, the light at the tip of Gerus's staff dimmed slightly.

"Ptooey!" Javier spat a mouthful of dust-mixed spittle onto the ground, a flash of annoyance in his eyes. The trio's support was too perfectly coordinated; at this rate, it would never end!
His eyes suddenly hardened, and he abruptly raised his staff to the sky—Summoning Lightning!
In the sky, a thick, blinding bolt of lightning instantly solidified!

Silverface frowned and immediately dodged to the side.

"Foolish!" Havel sneered inwardly, immediately stepping forward. Holding his staff in both hands, he used the momentum from summoning lightning to smash it downwards with all his might!

The staff struck Silverface's hastily raised right arm squarely, the remaining magic exploding and shooting straight at his face!

"Crack!" A clear cracking sound rang out, and the metal mask covering the entire silver face shattered and flew away!
Beneath the mask was a remarkably handsome face.

In that very instant of entanglement, the lightning that Javier had summoned earlier struck down with intense light, hitting both of them simultaneously.

Caught off guard, Silverface let out a short, painful groan as the blinding light shone directly into his eyes. Instinctively, he raised his left hand to cover his eyes, staggering backward with visibly unsteady steps.

Havel, however, took the lightning head-on, simultaneously using his staff to recover most of the energy. He then swung backward with great force, unleashing all the lightning power contained within his staff, knocking away Jerus, who was about to cast another spell to help.

The girl's petite body crashed heavily to the ground.

****
Undeterred by his momentum, Havel charged straight at Silverface again, the tip of his staff erupting with a blinding golden light like a miniature sun—

"Kagerou: Starlight!"

The compressed light burst out with lightning speed, forming dozens of straight shockwaves that struck the three people from different directions, intending to engulf them all at once!

Before Gerus could even get up, she immediately conjured a shield, forcefully withstanding the oncoming energy surge. Gerndar's battle aura also swelled dramatically, resisting the scorching beam of light.

Silver Mask, however, was blinded by the intense light after losing the protection of his mask.

During his student days, Silver Mask received the wrong textbook on eye techniques, which almost led to permanent blindness in both eyes!
Since then, his eyes have become extremely sensitive to light, and his corneas are so fragile that they cannot withstand even a slight breeze. Ordinary glasses cannot provide enough protection, so he simply wears a mask that completely covers his face.

Over time, people even forgot his original name.

Just as Havel was about to change targets, he noticed that Silverface suddenly made a series of zigzag changes of direction, narrowly avoiding all the deadly sunbeams!

“This is impossible!!!” Javier almost cried out.

"Excuse me." Silver Mask released his hand from his eyes, revealing his handsome face. His pupils were now a pure, unblemished white, and a cold, mocking smile played on his lips. "I'm wearing colored contact lenses now."

“‘Colored contact lenses’?” Javier was bewildered; this completely unfamiliar term was beyond his comprehension.

“What a coincidence,” Grendel clenched his fists, his knuckles cracking painfully, and approached step by step. “The textbook on advanced pupil techniques that Silver Mask obtained was printed incorrectly. The manual on Mirror Soul Techniques that Gerus used for learning was maliciously smeared and altered. And I—”

The paladin's eyes burned with fury. "At the crucial moment of awakening my divine battle aura, the professor took a liking to me and strongly demanded—no, almost coerced—that I switch to trickery!"

"If it weren't for Lady Catherine's timely intervention, preventing us from reaching the North," Silver Mask wiped away a trickle of blood that had somehow seeped from his forehead. "We would probably have been ruined by you long ago, wouldn't we? 'Respected' Headmaster!"

"Hehehe..." Havel suddenly let out a twisted laugh, his face full of undisguised contempt. "What a pity! What a pity! I didn't completely cripple you!"

His staff traced patterns of light that reinforced the shield. "You dare to covet the top rankings in each grade by taking advantage of others' unpreparedness and by trying to exploit loopholes? You lowly stray dogs, do you even deserve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the noble pride of the Divine Covenant? That is a position you should never aspire to!"
