Chapter 205 Harry's Deception

Chapter 205 Harry's Deception
Severus didn't go to bed early tonight either.

His research on the real potion continues.

After he finally managed to brew the medicine, he felt that its uses should not be so narrow.

The very act of solidifying deformed objects is itself of considerable value.

After all, not all wizards can use such a powerful antidote as Severus. Once a shapeshifter is solidified by this potion, it can be so realistic that it can fool many people.

The function of directly solidifying magic itself should not be limited to the effects of Transfiguration.

But just as Severus was using the real potion to try and see if it would produce any special effects if he mixed it with other magic-related potions.

On his desk, a lamp-shaped ornament suddenly lit up with a red light.

Severus frowned slightly upon seeing the reaction of this thing.

"Someone's coming in."

He was clearly speaking to Snape the Ghost, who was well aware of what he had done.

After dinner, although he initially listened to Lupin's words and thought it wouldn't be so easy for outsiders to sneak into the troll camp and get around their tents.

However, just to be on the safe side, Severus added an extra layer of special warning magic to the tent's intrusion alarm.

The device that can trigger this magic is the portable lamp on the desk.

"Who could it be?" Ghost Snape held his breath. "Will Harry be in danger?!"

In front of Severus, he made no attempt to hide his concern for Harry.

Severus didn't speak; he simply squinted, tapped the door with his wand, and then pressed his ear against it.

Magic helped Severus eliminate the sound barrier of the door and even amplified some special sounds!
Even the faintest footsteps on the floor were enough for Severus to pinpoint the person who had quietly slipped into the tent, amidst Draco's breathing and Lupin's grinding teeth.

“Four legs,” Severus murmured.

Ghost Snape didn't understand.

"what?"

"The person who came in had four legs, and there were cushioning pads on his feet, so he walked almost silently."

This answer clearly left Ghost Snape somewhat bewildered.

"Four legs? With paw pads? What kind of magical creature has wandered in?"

However, Severus thought differently, and a meaningful smile appeared on his lips.

"It's not just magical creatures that walk on four legs; your mortal enemy might be one too. Don't forget what I told you back in France—he's an Animagus who can transform into a big black dog!"

Ghost Snape's face turned icy cold in that instant; he quickly realized something more.

He's here to see you!

"If it really is him, he should be here to kill me."

Severus's calm words made Ghost Snape's expression harden even more, and his voice was almost squeezed out from between his teeth.

"They've come to kill us!"

Severus genuinely thought that Snape's ability to have such thoughts was a significant improvement in his understanding, but for now, they still needed to determine whether the person who had broken into the tent was truly Sirius Black.

Severus continued to listen to the footsteps by the door. When he heard the faint footsteps pass through the corridor and finally stop roughly in front of Harry's door, he silently opened the door a crack.

Through the dim light of the corridor, Severus could vaguely make out the figure that had quietly entered Harry's room.

"It's him! It's him!!" Ghost Snape, through Severus's perspective, also saw the figure.

To open the door, Blake naturally had to transform back into human form at that moment.

And Snape, the Ghost, could never forget what that person looked like.

“He wants to go see Harry first,” Severus speculated about Black’s actions.

"After seeing Potter, his next target will definitely be us!"

“Not necessarily. He’s probably been spying on us all afternoon. If he saw Draco directing Harry to do those things, he might choose to retaliate.” Severus’s voice turned somewhat cold as he said this.

Upon hearing this, even Ghost Snape felt that Severus's suspicions were a bit too extreme.

"No matter what, he wouldn't lay a hand on a child, would he?"

"Weren't you a child when he lured you to the Lupin Shack? Wasn't Lupin a child?" Severus said calmly. "Don't overestimate this stupid dog's intelligence. He's capable of anything when he goes crazy."

Ghost Snape remained silent for a moment before speaking again.

"What are you going to do?"

As he spoke, Severus slowly drew his wand, returned to his room, transformed a pillow into a human figure the same size as himself, and then covered himself with a blanket. If the light was not turned on, it would appear as if Severus was already asleep in bed.

After making these preparations, Severus waved his wand at the window again, and then quietly left his room, went to the end of the corridor, cast the Disillusionment Charm on himself, and drank a potion to eliminate his scent.

The place was far from the lit nightlight, and in the darkness, no one could possibly spot Severus.

"What I do depends on what he does next."

Severus's deep voice eventually faded away in the corridor.

Time passed slowly, and they didn't have to wait long. About ten minutes later, the figure slowly walked out of Harry's room and then quietly closed the door.

Under the nightlight, the figure twisted and turned back into the shape of a black dog in an instant.

He was completely unaware that in the darkness, two pairs of eyes, one human and one ghost, were fixed on him, watching him pass by Draco's room and then stop outside Severus's room.

After waiting for more than ten seconds, the black dog transformed back into human form, carefully placed its hand on the doorknob, gently opened the door, and went inside. Blake's heart couldn't help but race. Although he never hid his contempt and disgust for Severus in his words, he was also well aware of Severus's true strength.

If he had a wand, Black would not be afraid of him at all, but now he is unarmed, and once Severus reacts, the situation could very well turn one-sided!
When the door was pushed open, it was extremely quiet inside.

Blake warily scanned the entire room; it was a typical pharmacist's bedroom.

Besides the necessary bed, there was a desk in front of the window filled with various manuscripts and bottles and jars, and on the other side of the open space, there was an old crucible.

The night breeze stirred the curtains, and moonlight peeked in through the slightly parted slit, casting a pale glow on the bed in the corner.

Blake held his breath and saw the figure covered by the blanket on the bed. His steps were very slow. It was only a two-meter distance, but he took more than thirty seconds to walk it before finally reaching the window!
Severus was fast asleep on the bed, so fast that Blake could hardly hear him breathing.

At this moment, he opened his pale, slender hands and stared at the neck of Severus on the bed.

At that moment, Blake was fully prepared; he was ready to grab Severus by the neck and subdue him on the spot in the next second.

After that, they confiscated his wand, dealt with Lupin, captured that little brat from the Malfoy family, and finally freed Harry!

Just as he was thinking this and his body suddenly lunged forward, a bright red light suddenly shot out from behind him.

The moment the red light illuminated the entire room, Blake's hair stood on end!

This is a trap!

As this thought flashed through his mind, his forward-leaning body rapidly transformed from human to animal.

The spell, which should have accurately hit Black's back, missed its mark after he completed his Animagus transformation, striking the wall beside the bed and leaving a smoking hole.

Blake, now a black dog, stood on the bed with his muscles taut, staring intently at the tall, slender figure standing in front of the bedroom door!
"Severus Snape!"

The voice, which should have been filled with hatred and resentment, sounded like the male protagonist in a hymn calling out the female protagonist's name with heart-wrenching pain after being broadcast through the No. 3 radio station.

Severus, whose attack missed, still wore a playful expression. He met Blake's eyes and sneered.

"You've been hiding in Azkaban and refusing to come out, so you're obsessed with stage plays? The audience on that island certainly has unique taste."

Even Ghost Snape couldn't help but reveal an excited, mocking smile on his face at this moment!

It was proven from the beginning that Severus's mouth was no less impressive than his, and perhaps even more so.

Now, finally someone else can taste this flavor, and what's more, that person is Sirius Black!

Blake glared at Severus, his bloodshot eyes looking as if he wanted nothing more than to pounce on him and tear him to pieces.

But the wand in Severus's hand, whose tip always glowed, made Black feel uneasy.

If it weren't for Harry, he would have rushed up and fought Severus to the death without hesitation. But now Harry is still in the hands of this snotty-nosed man, and he has to find a way to rescue James's son!

"I will come back for you! I will come back for revenge!!"

The resounding tenor voice continued to blare from broadcast number three, and Blake had already leaped toward the window.

He wanted to smash the glass and run away!

Severus didn't even flinch at his actions. The moment the big black dog hit the windowpane, it was like hitting a trampoline. Its massive body was instantly bounced back and crashed into the bottles and jars on the desk.

The sound of countless panes of glass shattering rang out, loud enough to wake everyone inside the tent.

Blake, whose entire body was soaked in all sorts of potions, let out a beast-like roar!
At this point, he naturally realized that the bedroom had become a prison trapping him, and Severus had wanted to capture him from the very beginning.

Just as Blake was about to go completely berserk and decide to fight Severus to the death, a series of chaotic footsteps sounded in the corridor outside.

Lu Ping was the first to react upon hearing the commotion!

He rushed out of the bedroom still in his pajamas and wand in hand, and as soon as he got behind Severus, he saw Black in the room looking disheveled.

Instantly, Lupin's pupils contracted, and he immediately pointed his wand at the large black dog.

That voice, which had always maintained its calm and composure, now revealed an undisguised shock and anger.

Sirius Black!

Pointing two wands at him, Blake showed no tension; his gaze towards Lupin was filled with only disappointment and hatred.

Following Lupin, two more hurried footsteps sounded. Harry and Draco, who had been woken up, also came out of their bedroom, looking like they hadn't woken up yet and were full of confusion as they came to the door.

Upon seeing Blake, the two boys were even more confused about what had happened.

They didn't even understand what Animagus was, so naturally they wouldn't recognize that the dog in front of them was Sirius Black, who was wanted in the newspaper.

When Black saw Harry, his previously cold gaze instantly turned panicked and bewildered.

Even when betrayed by Lupin, and faced with Severus's taunts, Black was not afraid of anything. His only fear was that Harry would stand by Severus's side and that this wicked snotty boy would use the boy to blackmail him.

However, Harry's first words upon seeing Black left the large black dog stunned, as if struck by lightning.

"Teacher, who is it?"

Black never dreamed that James' son would call Severus Snape that!

“It?” Severus answered Harry’s question simply. “You shouldn’t use that word, Dudley. You should call him. As for his identity, he used to be a close friend and confidant of your father.”

Hearing Severus's voice, Blake snapped back to reality. He stared intently at Severus, his anger making him pant heavily.

Clearly, he had already found the answer in his heart.

It must have been this snotty guy in front of me!

He bewitched Harry, twisted the past story, gained Harry's trust, and then trained him to be a pure-blood slave!
deceive!

Harry has been deceived!
Even if he dies tonight, even if he's killed by Severus, he has to tell Harry the truth!

Harry must be shown just how despicable Severus Snape really is!
