Chapter 181 Fire Dragon Assault
Chapter 181 Fire Dragon Assault
“Tell them, Lulu, if they want to continue living the way they used to, they must leave this valley now.”
Andrews said sternly.
Lulu approached the group of giants and translated the message into their language for her fellow creatures.
A conflict had clearly broken out among the trolls. After hearing what Lulu had relayed, some of the trolls angrily brandished their wooden clubs.
Upon seeing their actions, Lulu's voice became even more serious and louder, almost roaring as it suppressed the trolls' discontented voices.
At this moment, Lulu's long-standing reputation among the giants came into play. Even the most troublesome troublemaker became as quiet as a quail under its suppression.
It was already afternoon when Lupin had completed all the preparations for his destination and returned to his camp in the valley.
Harry and Draco had also scouted out the route out of the valley, and they were now gathered around the group of trolls who were restless because they had no water or food.
Finally, guided by Lulu, the trolls began to slowly leave the valley.
Harry led the way on his flying skateboard, with Severus and Lupin flanking the trolls on either side. Draco followed alongside Severus, while Andrews stayed at the rear of the troll group to prevent any of them from getting lost or being left behind.
The forest floor began to tremble, and the commotion of dozens of giants caused magical and ordinary animals near the valley to flee in panic.
As soon as the group emerged from the valley, chaos erupted. Some of the giants dawdled and hesitated to move forward, allowing Lulu, one of the giants, to pummel them with blows and kicks.
Under Lulu's pressure, they finally began to move slowly, but their progress was never fast. However, no giants fell behind or deliberately refused to move during the afternoon.
As evening approached, after walking more than ten kilometers, they finally arrived at the campsite that Harry and Draco had initially chosen, where they could rest for the night.
Without Lulu's forceful driving, the group of giants collapsed onto the ground as soon as they arrived at this place.
Then they found clean water. Some of the thirsty giants made another effort, stood up, and went to the stream that eventually flowed into the valley and became a lake, and began to drink.
Andrews also began to release a small number of yellow-horned goats in an orderly manner, preparing a meager dinner for the giants who had not eaten for more than a day.
"Don't feed them too much. Once they've eaten and drunk their fill here, they might not want to leave tomorrow morning."
As the wizards were also having dinner, Andrews spoke to Severus and the others.
“I told Lulu to tell them that if they can reach their destination, she will treat them to a big meal. They should be able to get out of this area smoothly tomorrow.”
Today's migration, although it encountered some obstacles at the beginning, ultimately proceeded relatively smoothly.
At least at the current pace, they should be able to achieve their goal by noon tomorrow.
Those giants can sleep anywhere, of course, and there's no need to build them any wooden huts or tents; they can just lie down on the grass by the stream and fall asleep.
Severus and the others slept in the magic tent they had initially entered the forest to search for Andrews. The space inside was large enough that even with Andrews added, there would be no problem.
But obviously they couldn't all rest at the same time; someone had to watch over the group of giants until they reached their destination.
Lulu, Andrews, Severus, and Lupin the Troll took turns standing guard in four shifts.
Lulu and Andrews were in charge of the first half of the night, while Severus and Lupin were in charge of the second half. Harry and Draco, of course, did not have this task.
In the middle of the night, Andrews woke Severus up, and together they determined the number of trolls sleeping on the ground. Then Andrews went to rest, leaving Severus to guard the area alone.
Well, to be precise, it's one person and one ghost.
"The dragon trainer who came that day said that there have been some unexplained accidents happening on the west side of their nature reserve. Didn't you realize that it might be related to the banshee ghost you're looking for?" Ghost Snape suddenly asked in a low voice.
Severus reached out a branch and poked at the campfire in front of him.
"Of course I'm not that slow-witted."
"Then why are you still here playing these troll games with them?"
“You’re too hasty,” Severus said calmly. “The riskier and more uncertain something is, the less you should rush it. I can assure you that your master is in this forest. He won’t be able to escape for the next year or two and will stay here.”
The Ghost couldn't understand where Severus's confidence came from, just as he couldn't understand why he was so certain that Andrews, that annoying bestselling author Lockhart, was a master of the Oblivion Curse and would definitely find the same kind of confidence.
But he would no longer easily question Severus. Over this period of time, many things have proven that almost all of Severus's ridiculously accurate predictions were correct.
Severus stopped talking to Snape the Ghost about finding Voldemort and instead discussed potions and spells with him.
Not long after, around 3 a.m., a roar that was faintly heard from the distant horizon suddenly caught Severus's attention.
He stopped his discussion with Ghost Snape and turned to look at the western sky where the moon hung low. Something had happened there; a small portion of the sky was tinged with an eerie crimson. Ghost Snape had clearly heard the noise as well, and he said somewhat uneasily.
"What is that sound?"
Not long after he finished speaking, a roar much louder than before, like a thunderclap, exploded in the sky!
Almost all the trolls were awakened by the noise, and at that moment Severus had already lifted the tent flap without hesitation.
"Get up! Get up now! We have to leave now! Hurry!"
Soon, Andrews and Lupin, still in their pajamas, hurriedly ran out of the tent, wands in hand.
The troll horde descended into utter chaos. Even with Lulu trying to calm and suppress them, it was impossible to control their panicked brethren in a short time.
The owner of that roar was now above them, obscuring most of the starry sky!
That was an extremely large fire dragon!
It was almost three times the size of the Swedish Brachynotaurus that fell into the valley!
Its enormous, steel-like belly already revealed its dragon lineage.
Ukraine's iron belly!
The world's largest fire dragon.
The moment the fire dragon revealed itself in the sky, accompanied by a roar that seemed to shatter eardrums, the dragon's breath descended from the sky like divine punishment, enveloping a space of half a mile in radius.
"Protect them all!"
Without any hesitation, Severus thrust the tip of his staff into the ground, creating an invisible shield that protected all of them, including the troll.
The dragon's breath clashed violently with the ranged armor spell, but it was unable to break through that defense.
The surrounding area had turned into a sea of fire, with the grass and trees all ablaze.
Andrews shouted.
"What's going on! What happened?! Weren't they supposed to start expanding tomorrow at the earliest?!"
Lupin reacted quickly, immediately pointing his wand at the sky and casting a warning spell.
A cluster of bright red sparks shot into the sky, exploding into a beautiful fireworks display against the night sky illuminated by the fire!
Harry and Draco also witnessed this scene in horror, and at this moment they no longer had the excitement and thrill they had when they saw the dragon before.
"Remus! Protect Dudley and Draco, and you take them and get out of here immediately!"
Severus spoke to Lupin in a serious tone.
Lupin didn't hesitate at all in obeying Severus's order. He immediately grabbed Harry and Draco, used the Iron Man Charm, and ran eastward.
At this moment, the Ukrainian Ironbelly realized that its dragonfire had not completely destroyed the ants on the ground. It began to angrily spread its wings, open its claws, and use its huge body to launch a further attack on Severus's Ironclad Curse!
"boom!"
A tremendous, trembling collision sound rang out, and countless tiny, dense cracks appeared on the surface of the Ironclad Curse.
The giants panicked and began to scatter in all directions. Lulu tried desperately to control them and make them run eastward, but more than a dozen giants still turned back and ran towards the valley where they originally lived!
"Forget about all that! Take as much as you can out of here! As for what you can't take out, that's just natural selection!"
Severus shouted at Andrews, who was still trying to salvage the situation by bringing back the giants that had turned back.
Andrews calmed down at this point and realized that Severus was right.
All they need to do is their best to ensure their own safety, and if there are still giant casualties, then there's nothing that can be done.
"Something's wrong!" Andrews said urgently. "Not only does it not match the initial timeline for expanding the reserve, but fire dragons that are normally kept in captivity shouldn't be this aggressive! They've gone berserk!"
"You and Lulu also lead those giants eastward. Remember, protecting yourselves is the most important thing!"
"I see!"
Without saying a word, Andrews immediately used the Explosion Charm on the giants that were trying to run away, forcing them to gather together and run eastward with the explosion.
"Crack!"
At this moment, the Ironclad Curse released by Severus finally shattered under the second violent impact of the Iron Belly!
