Greece: I am Zeus!
Chapter 56 The Vision of the Underworld
Chapter 56 The Vision of the Underworld
She paused, her smile vanished, leaving only politeness in her faint smile, and her gaze became deep and sharp.
She stared at Zeus and said, "I only have one question now."
"So, how should we deal with the beings that have already appeared and violated the laws of the gods?"
Zeus frowned slightly; he naturally knew who Nyx was referring to.
He sighed softly and said, “Merciful lady, it is not the fault of the being that was conceived, but the fault of the God who conceived.”
"Since it already exists, how can it be destroyed?"
"Moreover, we are in dire need of help right now. He is an indispensable asset, so how can we cut off our own arm and weaken our strength?"
The Lady of Night raised a slight smile, a smile that wasn't quite a smile: "Honorable Son of Cronus, darkness and night are never separate. Even if night cannot control darkness, even if the former Father placed darkness beneath all things, who in this world understands the nature of darkness better than night?"
The goddess of the night, who saw through the truth, asked without any politeness: "Do laws without spirituality count as 'existence'? If they didn't exist in the first place, then why did they 'appear' again?"
Zeus's heart skipped a beat. He knew that there were no absolute secrets in the world. As far as he knew, there were at least five great gods who could not be kept in the dark.
Zeus avoided the topic and slowly said in a soft voice, "The number of living beings in the world is increasing, and many of them are not immortal. When their lives end, their spiritual essence can only suffer loneliness and torment in the world. Without the blessings of the gods, they can only slowly dissipate with time and return to the heavens."
His tone carried a hint of pity, “This is too tragic and too regrettable. Every life’s spirit should have its own destiny. Every spirit with its own self should not suffer such torment.”
"Therefore, I wish to grant mortals a fragile spiritual shell for protection, called the soul. The spirit resides within the soul, which can move and grow, freeing them from loneliness and slowing the demise of self-awareness."
"I will create another realm beneath the earth, in that endless darkness, and name it the Netherworld. I will make it as vast and boundless as the earth above, a place where pure souls can rest."
"All the decaying and mortal creatures in the world, when their lives on earth decay, their souls go to the underworld to live. Until they completely perish, the spiritual source returns to the world from the darkness once again, and so on, endlessly."
"Your Excellency, what do you think of my idea?"
As Nyx listened to Zeus's plan, her deep, beautiful eyes shone even brighter, marveling at Zeus's benevolence and wisdom.
She nodded gently, finally showing a genuine smile.
In that instant, the smile was breathtaking, like the first ray of light born from endless darkness, exquisite and awe-inspiring, allowing Zeus to truly witness the mysterious allure hidden deep within the primordial night.
"Your ingenious ideas amaze the gods, and your kindness and generosity are even more admirable."
Zeus smiled and said, "This is just a plan of mine. To accomplish all this, I would need the lady's help. Besides, governing the underworld is not something a single god can do."
"I would like to invite you and your children to help me. As a token of respect and gratitude for your hard work, how about this Netherworld being offered as an honor to the gods of the night?"
Upon hearing this, Nyx was greatly shocked. She did not agree immediately, but lowered her head and pondered for a moment.
After a long silence, she raised her head and said earnestly and firmly, "Merciful Zeus, thank you for your generosity, but no god should overstep your honor."
"I thank you for your kindness, but I cannot presume to accept your honor."
"I will help you build this Netherworld and contribute the power of the night. However, the children of the night can only be your assistants."
"It is enough that the universe can accept the night and that the gods of night can enjoy the honor of the universe," she paused, looked earnestly at Zeus, and said softly, "From now on, the children of the night are also your children."
"The prosperity of the night needs your participation, your protection and guidance. Please grant your request."
Zeus slowly revealed a smile, a smile that was sincere and firm. He replied decisively, "I could not ask for more! It would be my greatest honor!"
Darkness once again enveloped Nyx, and her beautiful, mysterious, and elegant figure gradually became blurred.
A voice drifted softly from the indistinct darkness: "From this day forward, the night will obey your commands. When you decide on the final battle, summon the night at any time."
The voice faded into the distance, like a murmured illusion, "Night, awaiting the day of final victory, awaiting the birth of a new order."
Zeus stepped forward, as if to grasp the fading night, and gave His solemn promise: "Lady of the Night, I will never disappoint you. Let us share the glory; I will never keep all the glory to myself!"
The Lady of Night vanished silently, leaving Zeus standing alone for a long time before finally exhaling and turning back to his palace.
We are one step closer to victory and our ultimate vision.
Creating another world based on the existing one is not difficult, since it relies on the existing world, and endless darkness is a ready-made resource.
Once we get our hands on His great thunder, splitting open the darkness, or even splitting open the chaos, will be no difficult task!
However, creating a world from pure darkness made that place truly desolate and lifeless.
However, this is not a big problem.
Hades possesses the power of darkness, and with the help of the Lady of the Night, the Underworld can be gradually built up.
Now only one thing is missing.
That is the authority created by the god-king Cronus.
To build a prosperous new world, we need the supreme authority of creation.
The power of creation must and can only be held in the hands of the God-King!
After Zeus completely won over the goddess of night, Cronus, the king of the gods, was not idle either.
The cunning and fickle Prometheus, in a subtle way, through the mouths of other gods, offered Cronus a suggestion that caught his eye.
So Cronus, the king of the gods, immediately set out quietly to seek out the two primordial Titans, who were known for their keen insight and wisdom.
When Coeus and Phoebe saw Cronus, the couple didn't need to think much; as Titans of insight and intellect, they instantly knew why Cronus had come.
They had already made up their minds to gloss over the matter; they really didn't want to get involved in this mess.
With their wisdom, they could naturally see that the current situation was not very favorable for Cronus.
The two Titan deities came out together to greet him and respectfully welcomed the King of Gods into their temple.
With warm smiles on their faces, Koeus spoke first: "Your Majesty, what important matter has warranted your personal presence?"
