Chapter 181 Will I Die?
Fu Ling and Fu Sheng, the siblings, were clearly surprised that it was this new older brother who came to pick them up.

Although Fu Ling was not as resistant as before, she was still on guard at all times.

Sheng'er really likes this older brother; he knows things that Sheng'er doesn't.

"Mom asked me to pick you up."

Ling'er simply said "oh," while Sheng'er shared her experiences at school with Leng Yuchen.

The three of them were walking along the road when, after a short while, Ling'er heard a few coughs.

Leng Yuchen slowly took out a handkerchief to wipe his mouth, but the blood he coughed up was still seen by young Ling'er.

Sheng'er was so focused on talking that she didn't notice the blood on the handkerchief, assuming that her brother had caught a cold.

"Brother, are you sick?"

Leng Yuchen calmly put away the blood-stained handkerchief and said with a faint smile,

"No, it's probably just that the wind was a bit strong and made me choke."

Sheng'er looked at it and said in confusion,
"Brother, isn't there any wind?"

Leng Ling spoke up at the right moment, "Let's go home quickly, I'm starving."

"oh oh."

Leng Sheng always listened to Ling'er, agreeing with whatever his sister said, and didn't dwell on what his brother had just said.

I think my brother just had a cold and lied to me so I wouldn't worry.

When they were almost home, Ling'er told Sheng'er to go back first, as she had something to say to Leng Yuchen.

"Ling'er, just pretend you didn't see anything."

Leng Yuchen's calm voice came through.

Leng Ling looked up and stared straight at him.
Will you die?

Leng Yuchen did not answer, but instead asked a question in return.
"Ling'er, if you hadn't died, wouldn't you have been very disappointed?"

Leng Yuchen squatted down, looking into her eyes as he spoke.

Leng Ling raised her head and stared intently at him.
"will not."

Leng Yuchen was surprised by this answer. He had thought his sister would hate him, since he himself didn't like them either.

Even without their birth, he would still come to his mother's side and become her child again.

Leng Yuchen already sensed that he didn't have much time left.

He just didn't expect that such happy days would be so short.

But he was still content. He knew that his mother loved him too, it was just that he had appeared at the wrong time.

He was content knowing that his mother was happy.

"Will you die?"

Leng Ling asked him calmly.

Leng Yuchen looked at her and calmly said,
"Maybe so, it's our secret!"

Leng Ling took his hand and saw her brother, who only smiled in front of their mother at the New Year's Eve party, reveal a happy smile.

Her eyes and brows were tinged with the subtle colors of spring, radiating a sense of triumph.

Liu Jingyi was surprised to see the two of them returning hand in hand, but she didn't say anything.
"You're back? Sheng'er said you had a cough, do you have a cold?"

Before Leng Ling could say anything, Leng Yuchen spoke up directly.
"Mom, I'm fine."

Liu Jingyi glanced at Ling'er, then at Leng Yuchen, and felt that there was something between them that she didn't know.

Leng Yuchen seemed to notice his mother's unusual behavior and quickly changed the subject.
"My younger sister and brother were even praised by their teacher when they got home from school today!"

Liu Jingyi was someone who was easily swayed by changing the subject. "Really? That's amazing!"

Then she asked, "What do the three of you want to eat? Let's not eat at home today, let's go out to a restaurant." "Anything is fine," Leng Ling said sullenly.

Liu Jingyi heard her daughter's voice and sensed she wasn't happy, but after glancing at her, she didn't notice anything different. She then glanced at Leng Yuchen and Sheng'er.
"We can make whatever Mom likes to eat."

They both said it in unison.

Liu Jingyi waited for Leng Yunting at home for a while before he returned from outside, his coat still covered in snow.

The four people staring at each other in the living room looked quite comical.

When Liu Jingyi saw Leng Yunting return, she felt like her savior had come back.

She strode towards Leng Yunting, but before she could grab him, Leng Yunting dodged her.
"I'm freezing, I'll catch a cold later."

Liu Jingyi didn't know what was going on this year; it started snowing so early.

It's not even December yet, and it's already started snowing.

Liu Jingyi, who was initially unhappy, consciously withdrew her hand, which had been hovering in mid-air, and then said,

"We were planning to eat out today, and since it's snowing, we're going to have hot pot."

Liu Jingyi heard that several new restaurants had opened nearby. As far as she knew, there was a hot pot restaurant that was very delicious, and there were always long queues.

She really enjoys eating these things and has been wanting to try them for a long time.

Leng Yunting had no objections, took off his coat, and put on a black overcoat.

Putting everything else aside, Leng Yunting has an amazing physique; he looks like a clothes hanger no matter what he wears.

After Leng Yunting changed his clothes and felt less cold, he took her hand and asked...
"Have you decided where to eat yet?"

Leng Yunting wasn't asking about the three children; he was more concerned about Liu Jingyi and wanted to know which restaurant she wanted to eat at.

Liu Jingyi told Leng Yunting the name of the restaurant, and Leng Yunting nodded.

"The taste is pretty good, and the ingredients are very fresh."

Liu Jingyi frowned and asked in confusion,
"How did you know? You went there to eat? How come I didn't know? Did you go with another woman?"

Liu Jingyi's deliberate nitpicking was like being unreasonable.

Leng Yunting pinched her cheek and said affectionately,
"What can I say in front of the child? You're all I think about. I only went out for a meal because of work."

Upon hearing the word "official business," Liu Jingyi lost all interest and never inquired about Leng Yunting's work.

She wasn't ignorant, but she didn't want to get involved.

The family of five arrived at the restaurant and, as expected, had to wait in line.

The manager recognized Leng Yunting, and without waiting for them, he asked a waiter to find them a quieter spot further inside.

Liu Jingyi handed the menu to the three children to see what they liked to eat.

Leng Yuchen turned around, coughed twice, and quickly hid the handkerchief in his hand.

Liu Jingyi frowned as she listened to his suppressed cough.
"Are you not used to the weather here, or are you not dressed warmly enough? Do you have a fever?"

Leng Yuchen was taken aback for a moment, then smiled.

"Mom, I'm fine, don't worry."

Liu Jingyi was still worried about him, seeing his pale face.

Leng Yunting glanced at him, feeling a pang of sadness in his heart, clearly sensing that his days were numbered.

Liu Jingyi had already forgotten that Leng Yuchen would leave.

She felt she had changed her fate, and that the son they had wronged would surely stay here forever.

Leng Yuchen kept suppressing the itch in his throat, not wanting his mother to notice.

My child was sick and I only had time to update one chapter!
