Chapter 402 Strange Man
Su Miaoyi didn't know why she suddenly saw a strange man.

The man looked to be in his fifties.

However, she did not see anything unrelated to the case.

She took the car keys and went to find Di Jia.

Xi Xian called her.

After receiving the food, Su Miaoyi said, "You guys eat, I need to go back to the Municipal Bureau."

“Cheng Jue has finished crying, come back now,” Xi Xian said.

"Something really happened," Su Miaoyi said. "You two eat. The car keys are on the coffee table; you can drive back."

“I don’t know how,” Xi Xian said.

“Cheng Jue has a driver’s license, he can drive,” Su Miaoyi said. “Let’s not talk about it now.”

After hanging up, she called Lu Zhishen again: "Let's work overtime."

"Where to?" Lu Zhishen's voice sounded like he was still asleep, not quite awake yet.

"See you at the Municipal Bureau," Su Miaoyi said.

"Ah."

When they found Di Jia, he had already finished his phone call. He was surprised when he saw Su Miaoyi.

"Car keys." Su Miaoyi tossed the car keys to him.

Di Jia caught it and looked at it: "It probably fell out when I was taking out my phone. Thanks."

"You're welcome." Su Miaoyi glanced at him and then said, "I have some business to attend to at the Municipal Bureau. Would you mind giving me a ride?"

“Of course it’s convenient,” Di Jia said.

"This is troublesome," Su Miaoyi said.

The two went downstairs to the parking lot, and after getting into the car, Su Miaoyi said, "Shouldn't you tell your brother?"

"Oh." Di Jia called Di Shulin, and as soon as the call connected, Di Jia said, "You eat by yourself."

Before Di Shulin could even speak, he hung up the phone.

Su Miaoyi listened quietly from the side, and sighed, realizing how gentle Cheng Juezhen usually was.

Upon arriving at the Municipal Bureau, Su Miaoyi looked at Di Jia and said, "Let's go in and sit for a while."

Di Jia was surprised again: "Can we just go in and sit for a while? It doesn't seem right."

"I have something I want to ask you," Su Miaoyi said.

Di Jia's smile vanished instantly, replaced by a blank expression: "I thought my love had finally arrived."

Su Miaoyi said, "Let's go."

“Isn’t Guan Zhou’s case closed?” Di Jia said.

After Guan Zhou's body was taken away by the Municipal Public Security Bureau, Di Jia helped Guan Zhou's parents with the follow-up matters.

“Other things,” Su Miaoyi said.

When Di Jia saw that she didn't get out of the car, he realized that she was waiting for him to get out, because she was worried that he would drive away.

He turned off the car, unbuckled his seatbelt, and got out.

Su Miaoyi then got out of the car.

Di Jia locked the car and followed her to the Municipal Bureau: "I'm pretty law-abiding and haven't done anything bad."

"I just want to ask you about some things, don't be nervous," Su Miaoyi said in a very official tone.

“I’m not nervous. I cherish my family and my current life. I won’t do anything illegal, so I’m not nervous,” Di Jia said. “But you, what if I really am a bad guy and I attack you in the car or take you directly to my territory?”

Su Miaoyi glanced at him but didn't say anything.

With Dijia's physique, she could easily take down ten more of them. As for bringing her to his territory...

She was very experienced in infiltrating other people's territory openly as an undercover agent.

Upon entering the Municipal Public Security Bureau, Su Miaoyi led Di Jia into the reception room.

"Did you lend the car you just drove to anyone else?" Su Miaoyi asked.

Di Jia thought for a moment: "My car? I bought this car many years ago. It used to be in Jiangcheng. I have a few friends who have all driven it."

Has a man around fifty years old ever driven this?

Di Jia thought for a moment and said, "No, I don't remember. My friends are all around my age, none of them are over fifty."

"Think about it again," Su Miaoyi said.

Di Jia thought for a moment, then shook her head: "No."

"Please wait here for a moment," Su Miaoyi said. "There are people at the door. You can talk to them if you need anything."

“Okay.” Di Jia nodded.

Su Miaoyi went to the art studio, and Lu Zhishen had just arrived.

"Did you have insomnia again last night?" Su Miaoyi noticed that he didn't seem to be in a good state.

“Last night I suddenly missed my mom so much that I couldn’t sleep.” Lu Zhishen lowered his eyes as he sharpened a pencil. “After I fell asleep at dawn, I kept having dreams. I dreamt that my dad was chasing me with a belt, asking me why I only thought about my mom and not him.”

Su Miaoyi wanted to offer comfort but wasn't quite good at it, so she paused for a moment and asked, "Did your dad hit you?"

"Almost." Lu Zhishen looked at her and smiled. "It's a good thing you called me, otherwise I would have gotten a good beating from my dad's belt."

"Tsk, what a pity," Su Miaoyi said, "We almost hit it."

Lu Zhishen glanced at her, picked up his easel, and sat down: "What are you drawing?"

“A man.” Su Miaoyi hooked a stool over with her foot and sat down. “A man in his fifties. I saw him from the perspective of a car key.”

Lu Zhishen glanced at her again, his surprise making him more alert.

Su Miaoyi shrugged and stood up again: "This man handed the car keys to Di Jia like this, with the keys positioned between the two of them. I was looking up at him."

“Di Jia?” Lu Zhishen asked.

“Yes. He’s at the Municipal Bureau. We need to draw it so he can see who it is,” Su Miaoyi said.

Lu Zhishen nodded.

Su Miaoyi described the man's appearance.

The average person's appearance is not particularly distinctive.

Lu Zhishen quickly finished drawing it, and Su Miaoyi took a picture and went to the reception room.

Lu Zhishen took the portrait and went to the system to match it.

"Do you know this person?" Su Miaoyi asked Di Jia.

Di Jia looked at him for a while and said, "I've seen him before, but we're not close. I think his surname is Chang, but I don't know his given name. He's a friend of my dad's. My dad told me to call him Uncle Chang, but he didn't mention his name, so I didn't pay attention."

"Now that you mention it, I remember. This person's driver drove my car, the one I drove today."

"Your dad's friend?" Su Miaoyi asked. "What does he do? Do you know where he's from?"

“I’m not really sure,” Di Jia said. “My parents divorced when I was very young, and I live with my younger brother and my mother. I only visit my dad occasionally, so I don’t know him very well, and I know even less about his friends. That time, I was driving to my dad’s place, and they borrowed my car temporarily.”

"What does your father do for a living?" Su Miaoyi asked.

“He’s in the export business,” Di Jia said.

"Do you know where they drove that day?" Su Miaoyi asked.

“The Fengjiang Club in Jiangcheng, when you mentioned that, it suddenly reminded me of it. I had a minor car accident the night they used the car. When they were handling the accident, they checked the dashcam footage and knew they went to the Fengjiang Club,” Di Jia said. “But the Jiang family was arrested, and the Fengjiang Club is gone now.”
