Chapter 181 The Dominant Force
Having figured all this out, Jiang Ran looked at Mu Ya with a strange expression: "How did you break free from the control of the big eyeball?"

Muya looked into the distance with a gentle gaze and said softly, "You should be able to guess."

Jiang Ran was taken aback.

But after a moment's thought, following the direction Muya was looking, she immediately understood what she meant.

"You mean...Eternal Night City?"

Muya nodded, her tone tinged with sadness: "The Eternal Night City of the past... was far larger than what you saw before. Although it lacked the richness and beauty of your home planet, it was still the homeland on which our people depended for survival, and it once had moments that could be called happy."

"But everything was destroyed with the appearance of that guy who claimed to be a god."

“Our home was destroyed by towering waves, our people were driven from their homeland and forced to live on that lifeless sea, where a city was rebuilt solely for Paro Island.”

"Do you know that beneath the City of Eternal Night, around that beating heart, lies the ruins of our royal city? And I, as the last member of the royal family of the City of Eternal Night, have been forced to become its lackey."

"The island of Paro presses down on the city of Eternal Night, as if reminding us that our fate will never see the light of day again."

"But I am not reconciled. How can I be reconciled? Every day I can hear a mournful cry from my heart, my home planet weeping for the plight of its people."

"However, as you can see, the power of Paro Island is beyond all our imagination. Sometimes I wonder if, in fact, even that person was just a tool of Paro Island..."

"Muya, be careful what you say."

Ante, who was still engrossed in his milk tea, had somehow flown to their side and was sternly stopping Muya from continuing.

Muya scoffed, "Am I wrong? Even if you treat it like your mother, has it ever even glanced at you?"

Ant seemed a little angry: "I'm cooperating with you, not so you can go against Mother!! Don't forget what you promised me. Without me, do you think you can escape Shen's pursuit?"

Listening to their conversation, Jiang Ran roughly guessed the truth behind their cooperation.

She looked at Ant: "I remember you once said that you hoped Paro Island could return to its original state. But I don't quite understand, what do you mean by 'original state'?"
"Is Paro Island starting to try to annex other planets to strengthen its own source power, or is Shen recklessly absorbing faith, leaving those who have been drained on Paro Island to accompany you in your fake, peaceful paradise?"

Ant's tentacles trembled violently, as if trying to refute Jiang Ran's words.

In the end, however, it said nothing.

Muya looked at Jiang Ran with some surprise, unsure whether it was because Jiang Ran dared to say those words to Ant, or because she was shocked that Ant wasn't even angry about it.

After a long pause, Ant's somewhat dejected voice rang out: "Actually, I don't know either. From the very beginning, they never intended to play with me. I was the last to hatch, and by the time I was born, Paro Island had already sensed the reduction of source energy."

“A long time ago, long before all of this happened, Shen and I actually had a pretty good relationship. He would even occasionally show concern about the depletion of his source energy in front of me.”

“Back then, Paro Island would often talk to me. She would tell me that all of this was only temporary, and that she would find a way to make me as strong as Shen and the octopus.”

"But I don't need any of that. All I want is for Paro Island to return to its former peace. No more of that chaotic devouring, just like before."

"If you need my power, I can give it up without hesitation. I've lived long enough."

Upon hearing Ant's words, Jiang Ran and Mu Ya couldn't help but think of their home planet.

Who doesn't love the land that nurtured them?
What right does Paro Island have to forcibly deprive other planets of life simply because its own energy is waning?

Although Jiang Ran didn't know where Paro Island's power came from, she vaguely guessed that the end of everything might also be related to the heart. Muya suddenly said to Ant, "Have you ever considered that perhaps Paro Island itself isn't the mastermind behind all of this?"

Jiang Ran and Ante both looked at Mu Ya.

Muya lowered his eyes and pulled out a stone slab that Jiang Ran recognized very well from his pocket: "You've been looking for this, haven't you?"

Jiang Ran subconsciously took it, and the stone slab suddenly unfolded into a scroll of sheepskin manuscript the moment it touched her palm.

"Mantra Notes (Part 1)"

There are actually two of these?

She blinked and opened the journal.

Contrary to expectations, the journal wasn't blank; instead, it contained a line of text.

"The truth is often more cruel than imagined."

Jiang Ran subconsciously looked up at Mu Ya, but Mu Ya gestured for Jiang Ran to continue reading.

Jiang Ran turned the page again.

"Those who attempt to manipulate the world's consciousness will ultimately be swallowed up by the world's consciousness."

"Power obtained through special means will eventually dissipate completely."

"When everything returns to the beginning, who can decide the direction of the story?"

Who is this referring to? The big eyeball... or Paro Island itself?

Before Jiang Ran could react, the notebook transformed back into a stone tablet and flew into the groove on Jiang Ran's game panel.

Even knowing that this is likely a message left by "Jiang Ran" in a parallel world within an endless loop, Jiang Ran still wanted to complain: When did she start acting like a riddle teller?

As if guessing Jiang Ran's thoughts, Mu Ya explained softly, "It's not that I don't want to go into more detail, but that information simply can't be preserved."

Jiang Ran seemed to realize something and asked in return, "Did you... also leave behind some suggestive messages?"

She could roughly understand Muya's words. Perhaps such prophetic information was very difficult to preserve, and could only be written in a more enigmatic way.

Once these real fragments are gathered together, no matter how riddle-like the writing is, the truth can always be deduced.

But Mu Ya's attitude made Jiang Ran wonder if she had also had a similar extraordinary encounter.

Muya did not deny Jiang Ran's words, but asked her, "Do you think it can be done this time?"

Jiang Ran looked at Ant and said, "Although I don't know why you're cooperating, I have a question for you."

Ant hung his head, dejected, and said, "You don't need to test me, I know what you want to say. If the will of Paro Island is also controlled by Shen, then I will spare no effort to make Paro Island free again."

Jiang Ran and Mu Ya exchanged a glance and let out a soft sigh: "Perhaps, this is the best opportunity."

She's almost finished collecting all the real fragments, with only three left.
