Under One Person: My Inner Realm Connects to All Worlds!
Chapter 63 All Laws Return to Their Origin
Chapter 63 All Laws Return to Their Origin
"Their strength barely scratches my skin, yet my intent has penetrated their very bones... Yin and Yang complement, generate, and support each other; Lesser Yang arises from Greater Yin, and Lesser Yin arises from Greater Yang. Nothing should be taken to extremes; extremes lead to change, from heavy to light, from light to heavy..."
After reading the Nine Yang Divine Skill, Han Yun couldn't help but sigh that all the methods in the world ultimately lead to the same goal, and that goal is: the Dao!
Wisdom is boundless, extending even to its very root.
Sun Lutang's "True Meaning of Boxing" and the Nine Yang Divine Skill created by the Drunken Monk seem to coincide, but in fact they both expound on extremely advanced power and the application of "Qi".
Ultimately, one reaches a state of harmony between Yin and Yang, where one controls force with intention.
However, the extraordinary Sun Lutang used innate Qi, while the Drunken Monk used internal energy.
This is also true in Zhang Sanfeng's Tai Chi Classics, which emphasizes the interplay of movement and stillness, the mother of Yin and Yang, and the free and easy release of energy.
Besides the Nine Yang Divine Skill, there is another skill book called the Great Shift of Heaven and Earth, which is also a wonderful method for the use of strength and qi.
From the very first level of Yin and Yang separation, one must focus the mind on the dantian and let the Qi flow through the four extremities; Yin on the left and Yang on the right, gathering first and then dispersing. The spirit should be concentrated in the chest, and the breath should circulate throughout the body; combining strength and gentleness, and harmonizing water and fire.
The second layer, the interplay of reality and illusion, and the need to clearly distinguish between reality and illusion in the Nine Yang Divine Skill, with each place having its own reality and illusion, all coincide once again.
The third level, "Shifting Stars and Changing Constellations," teaches the technique of using the opponent's strength against them. The fourth level, "Reversing Heaven and Earth," teaches the use of spirit to control qi and use qi to defend against enemies. The fifth level, "All Schools Return to One," teaches that everything is understood and all methods return to their origin.
Until the sixth level, formless and without appearance, discarding form to retain meaning, relinquishing force to preserve spirit; the universe is but a thread, shifting without a trace. Every step exudes Daoist rhythm, every glance reveals the laws of Dharma; the greatest form is silent, the greatest skill seems to vanish.
It can be seen that many parts are exactly the same as the realm and key points of the Nine Yang Divine Skill, which explains why Zhang Wuji was able to master the Qiankun Great Shift in a very short time.
It's like building a house. The foundation and framework are already in place, and all that's left is to refine the structure. The two complement each other, which is like giving Zhang Wuji a cheat code!
Otherwise, how could Zhang Wuji have mastered such an unparalleled skill that so many people have failed to achieve over the centuries, and even reached a high level of mastery?
However, the effects of mastering the two techniques are different. The Nine Yang Divine Skill focuses on internal energy, which is characterized by its inexhaustible vitality, extreme strength and yang energy, immunity to all diseases, and resistance to all poisons.
The Great Shift of Heaven and Earth emphasizes the application of strength, stimulating the body's potential, integrating all the body's strength, and possessing unpredictable and ingenious variations.
The potential power hidden in every person's body is enormous, but it cannot be used in normal times. However, in an emergency, a weak person who can't even lift a chicken can often carry a thousand pounds.
Scientific evidence also shows that people typically only utilize about 10% to 15% of their body's energy. Theoretically, if all the muscles in the body could exert force in one direction simultaneously, a staggering force of 25 tons could be achieved.
After reading through these essential martial arts techniques, Han Yun couldn't help but exclaim three times, "Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!"
Just like Sun Wukong scratching his head and cheeks, overjoyed, when he heard the Patriarch Bodhi speak of something wonderful.
It evokes a feeling of "If I hear the truth in the morning, I can die content in the evening."
With Zhang Wuji's personal experience as a comparison, Han Yun immediately wanted to master these two martial arts manuals. However, just as he was about to take action, Han Yun suddenly thought of something that made him restrain his impulse.
To reach the final stage of mastering the Nine Yang Divine Skill, one must endure the excruciating pain of intense heat and self-immolation throughout the body, requiring guidance from a renowned master or assistance from friends. This involves opening up hundreds of acupoints and breaking through dozens of key points throughout the body.
Only through a fortuitous encounter like Zhang Wuji's within the Qiankun Yiqi Bag can one truly master the Nine Yang Divine Skill.
Otherwise, one will only accumulate the Nine Yang Internal Force without being able to use it. Internal Force cannot circulate and generate endlessly. After intense battles, one is prone to excessive depletion of energy, leading to death, as exemplified by Master Jueyuan.
This heat is dry heat, a kind of heat from the body! Since the Nine Yang Divine Skill is extremely strong and yang, this heat must originate from within itself; it cannot arise without a source.
The Compendium of Materia Medica Supplement states: Fire has yin and yang, which is the profound meaning of Taiji. People generally believe it to be pure yang, but they do not know that there is yin fire.
Yang fire has no substance, but takes the form of things to burn them; it can be called Bing fire. Yin fire has substance, but does not need to take the form of things, and cannot burn everything; it can be called Ding fire.
There are two kinds of Yin fire in the human body: one is the Mingmen fire, and the other is the Samadhi fire. The Mingmen fire is the desire fire of the human body, and both the Samadhi fire and the desire fire can burn themselves but cannot burn other things.
It can be said that Samadhi Fire is a type of Ding Fire.
Therefore, Han Yun boldly speculated that this heat originated from the Yin Fire of the human body. Whether it was the Fire of the Gate of Life or the Fire of Samadhi, the final result was still hidden in the internal force, affecting the body and spirit.
This intense heat reminded Han Yun of the Sunflower Manual, both of which were unbearably hot.
However, the popularity of the Sunflower Manual stemmed from the fire element of the Life Gate.
In the world of Swordsman, there was once a rumor: the Purple Cloud Manual was for beginners, while the Sunflower Manual was for those who reached the pinnacle of mastery.
Han Yun opened the Purple Cloud Divine Skill:
All martial arts under heaven emphasize the cultivation of inner energy. This righteous energy is a gift from heaven, but ordinary people do not know how to cultivate it and instead let their temper overwhelm it. The dangers of martial artists lie in their violent, arrogant, cruel, and treacherous nature.
Violence disturbs the spirit and disrupts the vital energy; arrogance alienates the true self and makes the vital energy superficial; cruelty leads to the loss of benevolence and the loss of vital energy; thievery results in a ruthless heart and shortness of breath. These four things are all knives and saws that cut off the vital energy.
Abandon your four natures, return to gentleness and goodness, restrain your violence and cruelty, cultivate your righteousness, sound the heavenly drum, drink the jade nectar, stir the lotus pond, knock on the golden beam, and put these practices into action; you will then achieve some success…
Sure enough, the rumors were not unfounded. The Zixia Divine Skill is clearly a cultivation technique that controls one's internal energy and temperament. Even if the Zixia Divine Skill and the Sunflower Manual are truly unrelated, those who cultivate the Zixia Divine Skill to the highest level should be able to suppress their internal heat to a certain extent.
Of course, no amount of suppression can compare to the speed of that one strike.
Han Yun thought that since they were all born from Yin Fire, it didn't matter whether they were useful or not. He was confident that he could refine them successfully. Moreover, his foundation was in alchemy. Alchemists were perfect and flawless, so even if he couldn't refine them, it wouldn't have any impact.
Han Yun laid out the three martial arts manuals in front of him one by one.
The first book is "Zixia Divine Skill".
Han Yun sat cross-legged, his eyes slightly closed, and the innate Qi within his body flowed slowly like a stream. Following the instructions of the Purple Cloud Divine Skill, he first regulated his breathing and calmed his mind, eliminating distracting thoughts and allowing his spirit to return to gentleness and peace.
He silently recited the incantation, gradually restraining the fierceness in his temperament, and instead guiding his inner breath with gentleness.
The primordial Qi originates from the Dantian, ascends along the Ren meridian, passes through the Tanzhong point, reaches the Huagai point, then descends through the Baihui point, and returns to the Qihai point along the Du meridian. This cycle repeats throughout the body, gradually generating a misty purple Qi.
Purple clouds, like the first rays of dawn, are gentle and warm, unlike the scorching sun, yet they contain vibrant life.
Han Yun felt a warm sensation all over his body, as if bathed in a spring breeze. His originally restless and excited state of mind, which had been a little agitated due to his comprehension of martial arts, gradually calmed down.
