Chapter 108 Pure Yang Sword
Han Yun never expected that his casual drawing would attract the true thoughts of Lu Zu.

Once Lü Zu's figure had completely disappeared, the pavilion returned to calm.

In that painting, "Lu Zu Subduing the Dragon," the dragon has turned into ink blots, leaving only Lu Zu standing on the waves, his robes fluttering, and the place where his green sword points is empty.

Master Qingwei took a deep breath and solemnly bowed to Han Yun: "Fellow Daoist Han, you have received a magic treasure personally bestowed by Patriarch Lü. This is a once-in-a-millennium opportunity. It seems that you have a deep connection with my Quanzhen Sect."

Why do you say that?
This is because Wang Zhe, the founder of the Quanzhen School, whose Taoist name was Chongyangzi, inherited Laozi's teachings, upheld the teachings of Donghua, and carried on the teachings of Zhong and Lü, with the aim of fully embodying the truth of Laozi and Zhuangzi and benefiting others through self-sacrifice.

Lü Dongbin is one of the Five Northern Patriarchs revered by the Quanzhen School and is regarded as one of the founders of the Quanzhen School.

The patriarch personally transmitted the Dharma—what an extraordinary opportunity and what a fortunate connection this is!
Upon hearing this, Han Yun's lips twitched involuntarily.

I've already become the founder of the Lingbao School, so I don't want to become the founder of the Quanzhen School as well.
Han Yun quickly returned the greeting: "It is all thanks to the guidance of the Daoist Master that Han Yun has been able to have this opportunity."

Qingwei shook his head and smiled, "Although I taught you the art of adding color to the eyes, the fact that you were able to trigger Lu Zu's divine manifestation is due to your own cultivation and comprehension."

"Moreover, since you received the teachings from Master Lü, you have established a bond with my Quanzhen Sect. In truth, I might even have to pay my respects to you!"

Han Yun quickly waved his hand: "No, no, no, I'm just a young man, I can't accept such a big gift."

Master Qingwei hesitated for a moment: "This matter is of great importance. I will report to the Palace Master later before making a decision. How about we treat each other as equals?"

Han Yun readily agreed.

Master Qingwei carefully rolled up the "Lu Zu Subduing the Dragon" painting and put it into a sandalwood box, still showing some excitement in his expression: "This painting is no ordinary work, please keep it safe."

Han Yun felt that the painting was a bit too hot to handle. After all, the Pure Yang Sword was the result of hundreds of years of incense offerings from the Pure Yang Palace, and he had already benefited greatly from it. If he took the painting with him, it would be a rather unseemly act.

He quickly declined, saying, "Master Qingwei, in my opinion, it should be enshrined in the Chunyang Hall. I would like to donate this painting to the Yongle Palace."

Master Qingwei said excitedly, "Is what you say true, layman? You should know that this is something that can make Lu Zu manifest his divine power."

Han Yun nodded. In fact, he could easily create such a painting.

For those divine manifestations to occur, only certain conditions need to be met.

Han Yun's inner vision energy, along with sufficient incense offerings and vows, is secondary; the Qi of Dan Yun and the vast innate Qi are secondary.

Seeing Han Yun's resolute attitude, Master Qingwei couldn't help but exclaim, "Fellow Daoist Han's generosity is truly a blessing to our Quanzhen Sect. This painting, enshrined in the Chunyang Hall, will surely protect and prosper our sect."

He carefully placed the scroll into a sandalwood box, then took out a lightning-struck wooden plaque and handed it to Han Yun: "This is the certificate of my Yongle Palace. The holder of this plaque may freely enter and exit all the major Taoist temples of Quanzhen."

"I present this to you today as a token of my gratitude."

Han Yun took the token. It was jet black, with the words "Yongle Palace" engraved on the front and the words "Tongxuan Dazhen" on the back. Cloud patterns swirled around the edges, and a faint spiritual light flowed within.

"This..." Han Yun hesitated, "I am not a disciple of Quanzhen Sect, so it may be inappropriate for me to accept this token."

Master Qingwei smiled and said, "Fellow Daoist, you have already formed an indissoluble bond with our sect by receiving the sword bestowed upon you by Lu Zu. This token is merely to facilitate your future visits and discussions on the Dao, so there is no need to refuse it."

Seeing Qingwei's insistence, Han Yun had no choice but to accept the wooden plaque, cupping his hands and saying, "Since that's the case, Han Yun will accept it without further ado."

The two discussed the Dao for half a day. Master Qingwei was quite interested in the Lingbao School's cultivation techniques that Han Yun practiced, while Han Yun also asked about the Quanzhen School's internal alchemy techniques.

Han Yun then left.

-----

Inside the interior space, Han Yun's thoughts stirred, and the small white jade sword shot out from between his eyebrows, transforming into a three-foot-long green blade that hovered in front of him.

The sword's blade was as clear as jade, with faint cloud patterns flowing across it. Han Yun reached out and grasped the hilt, immediately feeling a surge of pure yang energy coursing through his arm's meridians and coursing throughout his body, causing his internal energy to circulate on its own.

"What a sword!"

This sword appears to be a physical object, but it is actually a manifestation of pure Yang thought. What is pure Yang?

The complete stripping away of all yin is called pure yang!

The incense offerings and prayers of all living beings are, in essence, an overflow of spiritual will and a manifestation of thoughts and wishes.

Lu Zu used his own divine existence to dispel the impurities from the incense-burning body, leaving only the pure and untainted thoughts. He then transformed the essence of the Dragon-Slaying Diagram into the sword intent of this sword, thus giving it the power to eliminate demons.

Lü Dongbin is believed to possess "three swords": the first to cut off nameless greed and anger, the second to cut off nameless love and desire, and the third to cut off nameless afflictions. But in the end, they are all swords of the mind.

It is similar in spirit to the wisdom sword of Manjushri Bodhisattva.

However, it differs from Manjushri's Wisdom Sword because its sword can materialize, making it a technique for flying swords over long distances.

A half-day's journey through the world is enough; no need to ride a phoenix or a dragon. By chance, a game of chance led to the flying divine sword, which shattered the highest peak of Zhongnan Mountain.

He travels north to Yue in the morning and to Cangwu in the evening, a green snake hidden in his sleeve, his courage boundless. He enters Yueyang thrice, yet no one recognizes him; he sings aloud as he flies across Dongting Lake.

Lu Zu could entrust himself to the sword, creating the sword escape technique, allowing him to travel across the Three Mountains and Five Peaks, and the Five Lakes and Four Seas, hence the name: Heavenly Escape Sword Technique!

The Heavenly Escape Sword Technique is a Taoist cultivation method that uses a sword as its medium. Legend has it that Lü Dongbin learned it from the Fire Dragon Immortal, and it combines the characteristics of both physical and Taoist swords.

It is not only used to eliminate inner demons and assist in cultivation, but also has the effects of attacking and escaping into the void.

I possess a sword: capable of cleaving mountains, splitting seas, destroying demons, and subduing monsters…

It is comparable to the Five Thunder Orthodox Method and the alchemical methods learned by Han Yun, each possessing its own unique and wondrous uses.

In fact, the traditions of each major school have many wonders. For example, the Dan Yun of the Golden Elixir School has the power to protect the body, ascend to heaven, and refine one's life force.

The Five Thunder Orthodox Method of the Celestial Master's Mansion requires the Golden Light Mantra as a prerequisite. It can also temper one's life force, protect the body with golden light, and transform one's Qi into form. The thunder magic is even more vast and majestic.

These systems of inheritance have become quite complete.

It's easy to imagine that in a great era of extraordinary individuals, their miraculous abilities would be revered as those of immortals and gods.

Just like Han Yun's previous philosophy, the more you learn, the more you realize your own insignificance.

The reason why the Celestial Master Zhang Zhiwei was able to become the best in the world is because he did not encounter those holy figures in history. Every era has one or two geniuses.

It's just that they've become increasingly rare in modern times.

Han Yun held the Pure Yang Sword in his hand, feeling the warmth emanating from its blade, his mind filled with countless thoughts.

Although he had already received the teachings from Lu Zu, since this sword was formed from pure Yang thoughts, it was connected to his mind and spirit. To truly master it, he still needed to cultivate it with his own Qi and make it integrate with his body.

However, since Han Yun has an interior space, he can skip these tedious steps and get straight to the point.
