Chapter 114 Miss Chen seems nice, she's a good match for me.

Wen Jinian was quite curious; either Jiang Shu had mentioned her to her, or Chen Si had investigated her.

I always felt there was something in her eyes.

She extended her hand and politely shook Chen Si's.

Chen Si glanced at Jiang Shu, then smiled and said, "Miss Wen, why don't you come to the team building event next week? I think you're very friendly, we seem to have a connection, and I'd like to be friends with you."

Wen Jinian was stunned for a moment, not expecting Chen Si to make such a request.

She just smiled and said, "We'll see how things go then."

The elevator doors opened, and Wen Jin walked out of the elevator with Wen Jin in her arms.

The two chatted for a while longer. Wen Jin glanced at Fu Yiyi driving in front, then turned to look at Wen Jinnian.

"Does your brother still have feelings for you?"

Wen Jinian was taken aback for a moment, "He's been quite normal lately."

Wen Jin breathed a sigh of relief. "I was just afraid your brother was too stubborn and might do something obsessive."

Wen Jinnian patted his hand, "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on it."

Jiang Shu watched as Chen Si swaggered over and sat down in the chair at the desk opposite him, and his face darkened.

He asked, "Ms. Chen, what did you mean by what you said in the elevator?"

Chen Si held her phone, tapped the screen lightly with her fingers, and casually said, "I just think Miss Wen is really beautiful, and she deserves to be pursued by many people."

"What do you want to say?"

Chen Si smiled faintly: "I investigated Miss Wen and Young Master Jiang's matter several years ago. If your Jiang family wants to make a name for itself in the Hong Kong area, our Chen family is your best choice."

Jiang Shu stared at her for a while, then looked away and asked, "So?"

Chen Si scoffed, "Young Master Jiang, why are you so insistent? A marriage alliance between our Chen family and the Jiang family might be a good option."

"Why me?"

Chen Si said calmly, "First of all, I don't have those feelings for Young Master Jiang. We're at an age where we should have a marriage agreement."

She paused, then said nonchalantly, "You don't have feelings for me either, which is actually quite nice. As for Young Master Jiang liking Miss Wen... maybe I can be of some help someday."

As soon as he finished speaking, Jiang Shu's gaze was like a knife, piercing straight at him.

It seemed as if they wanted to dissect the truth and the calculation hidden in those words.

"Ms. Chen, I would never allow Niannian to be harmed."

It was obvious that Jiang Shu rejected her suggestion.

"It's alright." Chen Si smiled meaningfully.

July is the rainy season, and it rained drizzly for several days in a row.

Because of the hot summer, the art studio changed from two classes a day to one, and Wen Jinian basically spent her afternoons drawing comics at the villa.

After the comic was published, it needed to be dubbed by a real person, and Wen Jinian was frequently urged to complete the manuscript.

This comic is partly based on the character Chi Yige, and tells the story of a domineering CEO falling in love with a commoner female college student; it has a high readership. The rain finally stopped on the sixth day; tomorrow is team building day.

That evening, she received a call from Jiang Shu, who said that Wen Jin would also be there. She initially wanted to refuse, as she prefers to stay home and draw comics, but then she thought that if her aunt was going, it would be good for her to keep Wen Jin company, so she agreed.

She then called her aunt to remind her to bring mosquito repellent and sunscreen. After chatting for a while, she finally lay down to sleep.

The next day, I packed my outdoor clothes and sun protection products, grabbed a small bag, and went out to meet Wen Jin.

Clearwater Bay Country Park is located in Sai Kung District, and it features a large green area and a beautiful beach.

There are many team activities, such as Ultimate Frisbee, Dodgeball, and Acupressure Mat Jumping Board.

In the evening, you can also have a barbecue and enjoy the natural scenery.

When Wen Jinnian and her group arrived, it was almost noon. Jiang Shu led everyone to set up the tents.

Just as she was busy, an SUV drove up. She looked up from the tent and saw Chen Si walking towards her, chatting and laughing with Jiang Shu.

Hearing that Ms. Chen had a cooperative relationship with the company, she decided to come along. Wen Jinnian nodded slightly upon seeing this.

At noon, Jiang Shu hired a professional barbecue chef. The group sat around a small table under a parasol on the grill. More than twenty senior executives from Jiang Shu's company chatted and laughed, and the aroma of food mingled with the smoke in the air.

Chen Si was chatting enthusiastically with Jiang Shu when Wen Jinnian glanced over and whispered to Wen Jin, "They look like a good match, don't they?"

Wen Jin glanced up and around, twirling the skewer between her fingers: "Miss Chen has a pleasing appearance and speaks appropriately."

He paused, then added, "Much better than that Zhou Shiyi."

The weather was perfect today; the sun had lost some of its heat, perhaps because it had just rained. The air in the mountains and forests was fresh and invigorating, and every breath was refreshing.

After lunch, everyone dispersed and found their favorite activities.

For some reason, Wen Jin became interested and said she wanted to learn more about Chen Si. She took the initiative to invite Chen Si to walk on the seaside trail, leaving Wen Jin Nian curled up in the tent and being lazy.

Perhaps it was a sign of her period coming on, she felt limp and curled up in the folding chair, clutching her tablet.

Jiang Shu grabbed a bottle of mineral water, waved it over, and shoved it into her hand: "Why are you holed up here? Come out and relax."

Wen Jinnian looked up and smiled, "It's just that the comics have been getting a lot of deadlines lately."

Jiang Shu sat down in the empty seat next to her, her tone softening, "Niannian, you don't actually have to work so hard."

"I enjoy comics and drawing. It's not hard to do what you love."

Wen Jinian looked down at her comic book manuscript, her eyes shining.

Jiang Shu could only nod, "Don't work too hard."

He paused, then added, "We're staying at a resort hotel tonight. We agreed to go to a private karaoke room, so don't hide."

Wen Jinnian nodded in agreement.

Jiang Shu hesitated for a moment, looking at the person who was drawing the manuscript with their head down, and spoke with a hint of probing.

“Niannian, actually… Miss Chen’s family has brought up the matter of a marriage alliance.”

She tapped her fingertips on the edge of the tablet, looked up with surprise but no sadness in her eyes, and smiled faintly, "Miss Chen seems like a good person, and she's a good match for me."

Jiang Shu immediately regretted asking the question. Her heart felt heavy. The Nian Nian of the past had eyes for him, but now she was still very obedient, and he was no longer in her sight.

He reached out and ruffled her hair, but ultimately didn't say what he wanted to say.

Jiang Shugang reached into his pocket, his fingertips touching the exquisite box, when a woman's clear and melodious voice rang out.

"So you've been here all along!"

The two looked ahead in surprise, only to see Fu Yiyi waving at them with a smile, followed by several men.

Without thinking twice, Wen Jinnian couldn't help but chuckle, "Why are you all here?"
