Chapter 639 What is the All-Powerful Father?
Chapter 639 What is the All-Powerful Father?
Mangog's inability to kill Odin fueled his resentment, strengthening him to the point where he could crush Uru metal. Loki's last-minute backstab completely disrupted Odin's rhythm in battle. With his wife on his mind and without the Destroyer's help, Odin was repeatedly struck by Mangog, and finally, scars appeared on his face.
However, he was not annoyed by this. Instead, he immediately notified people to rescue his wife and then shot Mangog.
However, this shot was less effective than the previous one, and it didn't even push Mangog far back. After being pushed back, Mangog picked up an entire building next to him and smashed it directly onto Odin. Then, he leaped up and slammed it hard onto Odin.
From a distance, all you could see were bursts of dust, followed by patches of floorboards.
Then, the ground, hundreds of meters high, was completely lifted up by the battle, and Odin plunged the Eternal Spear into Mangog's body, blood already flowing from his face.
Mangogo simply endured the damage and was then slammed to the ground. He then slammed his fist into the ground, and after one punch, the surrounding ground was immediately lifted up. Hundreds of meters of ground around him were lifted up and converged towards the center, almost turning into a mountain peak.
Then, Mangog dragged Odin out of the mountain and threw him far away. After landing, Odin immediately flipped over, used the Spear of Eternity to slow down the retreat, and stopped on one knee.
Mangog lunged at Odin, but in an instant, he was cleaved away by a one-armed giant with a huge battle axe. The giant immediately ran over and helped Odin up with one hand.
"Father, you..."
“Go, go and protect your mother, Tyr.”
After wiping the blood from his forehead, Odin looked at his son Tyr, the god of war in the Aesir pantheon, who possessed power perhaps second only to Odin and Thor.
However, the monster before them was beyond their ability to defeat, and Odin had decided to go all out. At this time, the children could not get in their way.
Even Thor wouldn't do.
“Loki attacked your mother, and she is in danger and needs someone to protect her. Moreover, what’s coming next is beyond your ability to handle.”
At this point, Odin added a few more words.
"Also, after this battle, I will quickly fall into a deep sleep, and I don't know how long it will take to wake up. During this time, your mother will probably be unable to manage affairs, and you brothers will need to work together to deal with the enemy."
Seeing Odin's gaze, Tyr hesitated for a moment before leaving. Odin looked at the monster before him and removed his helmet.
"Mangog, what do you want to prove? That I am not noble, or that you are powerful enough?"
The aged god-king stretched out his hand, and the Destroyer Armor lying on the ground floated up and was put on his body. His left arm, which had been bitten to pieces by Mangog, also began to regenerate rapidly.
Odin's eyes emitted a bright light, and behind him, the phantom of the World Tree appeared.
“If I were to consider every civilization destroyed by Asgard, Asgard would not be in such a state of prosperity—everything here, everything in Asgard, has never been separated from that expedition. I have never felt fear or regret; on the contrary, I am proud of it because I conquered such a vast world and was able to maintain it and create my own divine kingdom.”
"And what is your resentment compared to all the civilizations I have conquered and destroyed?!"
Odin, clad in his Destroyer armor, appeared before Mangog in an instant, shoving him thousands of miles away to the edge of Asgard, causing Mangog to tumble across the ground. Mangog staggered to his feet, only to have Odin forcefully slam his head into the ground.
"If your hatred were truly effective, how could Asgard have achieved its current strength and prosperity!"
Mangog's head was smashed onto the ground by Odin, and a huge crack spread along the surface, eventually causing the continental shelf of Asgard to break apart.
A part of the world collapsed because of this blow; the continental shelf shattered and was submerged in the void.
However, Mangog was not dead yet. He looked at Odin with resentment, but Odin did not tolerate him. He directly pressed Mangog's head into the void, and then did it again and again.
Odin was also angry, perhaps without resentment, but his anger was real. Odin's omnipotence allowed him to grab Mangog and punch him, then banished Mangog to a star.
Having accomplished all this, Odin sighed wearily, intending to take a good rest, but then a sound came from behind him.
Odin turned around and saw Mangog, who should have been thrown into the star, now tearing the portal apart with his bare hands, furiously pulling him back to Asgard.
Odin was momentarily at a loss, so much so that he missed his chance to counterattack and was captured by Mangog again.
However, Odin's current power would not allow him to succeed so easily. The great Almighty Father once again defeated Mangog. Under the immense power, Mangog was almost completely annihilated. He was destroyed, leaving nothing behind.
Odin wasn't sure if it was true, but he was feeling exhausted from overusing his divine power and was starting to feel drowsy. He sat down on a rock, trying to regain some strength.
It was at this moment that Odin, sitting on the rock, witnessed a scene he did not want to see. Accompanied by yellow mist, Mangog was being restored, and at a speed that exceeded Odin's imagination. In a flash, Mangog was reshaped and immediately spotted Odin, walking towards him.
Odin raised his spear, intending to finish off Mangog one last time before he completely passed out.
Just then, Thor's hammer pierced the sky and smashed directly into Mangog, sending the monster flying. Thor then landed beside Odin with Peter, looked at his father, and hesitated to speak.
“You are not his enemy, my son. As long as that monster harbors resentment, he is immortal, not to mention that he has already evolved to a very powerful level.”
Odin stood up as he spoke, but Thor stopped him.
“I have a way, Father. I can defeat this monster.”
Thor, with a confidence that seemed to come from nowhere, turned to look at Mango.
