Chapter 584 The Web of Shadows (26 chapters owed)
Earth-TRN011.

This is an extremely chaotic universe, in which Venom is more familiar to people, an evil and terrifying symbiote that, after breaking away from Spider-Man, became Spider-Man's old adversary, Venom, along with Eddie Brock.

During one of Spider-Man's battles with Venom, Venom, in an extremely unstable state, "exploded." First, Spider-Man extracted a portion of the symbiote from Venom, and then the entire symbiote exploded, infecting almost the entire Manhattan with its minions.

In the process, this Spider-Man in the universe embarked on a path of no return: he became obsessed with the power brought by the symbiote, and eventually submitted to this power, defeating Venom with Black Cat, then ruling over all of New York, and planning to rule the whole world.

"So, in this universe, Peter Parker ultimately chose to be with the black cat, who is a villain in this universe—at least for now."

Gwen, who had followed, looked at Peter with a hint of helplessness: "Isn't Felicia's world still here?"

"First of all, Felicia in this world shouldn't be our senior. Secondly, she's a villain—these are two completely different worlds."

Peter hadn't originally planned to bring Gwen along, but Gwen's abilities were incredibly convenient, and she did need some practical training.

Anyway, Peter has Anti-Venom with him, so he can just go around killing these symbiotes.

In addition to Gwen, the Spider-Man Alliance has prepared more than a dozen Spider-Men who are currently using symbiotes, ready to provide support at any time.

But Peter first needs to make contact with the official organization of this universe. After Spider-Man in the TRN011 universe became the villain and took control of New York, S.H.I.E.L.D. effectively abandoned New York and withdrew most of its enemies.

So when yet another Spider-Man teleported onto S.H.I.E.L.D.'s airship, almost all of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents immediately drew their weapons and aimed them at Peter and Gwen.

"Put the gun down."

After a brief assessment, this universe's Nick Fury made his judgment. Gwen, who knew practically nothing about Fury, was struck by this version of him.

"Is there really a world where Nick Fury is white and has hair?"

"Actually, Nick Fury's dad in our universe was also white and was Captain America's old comrade-in-arms."

Peter abruptly added some relevant information, and then didn't take the initiative to shake hands with Fury: "I guess you guys are all pretty nervous right now, right? After all, as far as I know, the Spider-Man in this world hasn't done anything very good."

"Not good" is already a very subtle way of putting it, my friend.

As Fury, the white man, spoke, he approached Peter, his eyes sweeping over Peter before a look of surprise crossed his face: "Is your suit a symbiote?"

Peter could feel the atmosphere on the entire airship growing more tense. He didn't say anything, just shrugged: "I thought you were going to ask who I am."

"The future, the past, the multiverse—there are too many possibilities. But what we're facing now is not something our past Spider-Men could solve."

Fury, the white man, made some subtle probes, but he didn't seem to realize that Peter didn't need his probing at all: "I think I know him, I mean your Spider-Man's thoughts. Of course, I'm not agreeing with him, but please remember, your Spider-Man is making his own choices now, not being controlled by the symbiote."

Peter tried to glean some clue from Fury's expression, but failed. Fury remained expressionless and seemed to reject Peter's idea.

"I don't know which universe you're from, Spider-Man. But we've already sent our best hunters to stop Spider-Man." The white man, Fury, didn't have a pleasant tone for Peter, who could understand Fury's thinking. But understanding aside, Peter needed to push his own progress forward, so he simply stated his position.

"I guess it's probably hopeless. A very powerful god has strengthened the symbiotes themselves, and these strengthened symbiotes are much more threatening than before."

"If you send out heroes who are infected by the symbiote but can still maintain their self-awareness, then you're even more doomed."

Just as Fury was still confused, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent cried out in alarm, "Something's wrong, sir!"

Fury didn't reprimand the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent; instead, he immediately went to the screen to check the situation. New York was now teeming with symbiotes; there wasn't a single place that wasn't overrun with these damn slimes.

However, this is not the reason why the Spider-Man in black dragged a symbiote monster up and hung it on the Empire State Building—it was Wolverine who, after being infected by the symbiote, was still able to maintain his self-awareness. Fury originally thought that Wolverine could stop the symbiote Spider-Man, but now it seems that he has no such ability at all.

After a long silence, Nick Fury, the white man from Earth-TRN011, sighed, looked at Peter, and finally walked up to him.

What's your relationship with the Fantastic Four like?

"Well, in my universe, Reed Richards announced that if anything happens to the Fantastic Four, I will form a new Fantastic Four. Is that enough?"

The white man, Fury, thought for a moment, then cautiously took another step closer. Peter felt his spider-sense click slightly.

"Then what brought you to our universe?"

"In order to eliminate the mutated symbiote."

"That's it?" Fury asked incredulously. "You don't want anything?"

"Actually, I didn't come here to help you. I came here to eliminate these symbiotes."

Upon hearing this, Fury finally nodded in satisfaction. He certainly believed Spider-Man to be a selfless and good person, a friendly neighbor Spider-Man—before he became the leader of the Symbiote and took over all of New York.

This also led to his distrust of the Spider-Man in front of him, who was clearly from another universe.

“Okay, what do you need? What preparations are needed? The Fantastic Four have removed some equipment from Baxter Tower, and Tony Stark…”

"I don't need anything. I'm here to tell you that I'm on friendly forces, to avoid any accidental friendly fire."

The white man, Fury, was immediately taken aback by that statement, and then asked incredulously, "That's a symbiotic entity of an entire city."

"Well, if it's just a symbiotic entity of a city, it might be quite simple."

What's really mysterious is that the story of Shadow Web is divided into three universes based on the platform: the TRN009 universe for PC, PS3, XBOX, and Wii; the TRN017 universe for NDS; and the TRN018 universe for PS2 and PSP... On the contrary, the four endings do not have different universes.

I've made a distinction: the hero ending is TRN009, the anti-hero ending is TRN010, the villain ending is TRN011, and the crossroads ending (neither good nor evil) is TRN012.
