Chapter 537 What Kang Fears

The Avengers team of the Kang Dynasty has undergone some optimizations and adjustments.

Because the gods were banished, Captain America wasn't frozen in ice, and Hulk wasn't born, the Avengers' roster underwent a major change. Tony Stark became Captain America, and the team included Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, Wasp, Ms. Marvel, and War Machine.

Each of them carried a teleportation beacon from the 31st century, allowing them to react and act swiftly when Kang needed them. This was why Kang summoned them immediately to help him hold the line. After this group of Avengers fought a large group of cyborg superhumans from the future, looking bewildered, Hank looked at the cyborgs on the ground with slight surprise, feeling incredulous: "These enemies look like... Ultron?"

"It's Ultron, Dr. Pym. Ultron no longer exists in this world."

After the battle ended, Kang quickly used the Cosmic Cube to eliminate Ultron in the present moment, and then explained the situation: "I traveled to the future and saw what caused the collapse of the entire multiverse—Ultron conquered the entire world and transformed everyone into cyborg beings."

At this point, Kang stopped talking and didn't continue. But in his guess, Ultron probably tried to open another rift to the Transcendental Dimension by using the data and information he had learned, to create a second Cosmic Cube. He failed, and the endless expansion of the rift caused a multiverse collision crisis.

However, this cannot be revealed. The manufacturing method of the Cosmic Cube is a top-secret matter and cannot be provided to others.

"He tried to come into this era and seize the Cosmic Cube."

"But you've already eliminated Ultron, haven't you?" Tony asked, puzzled. "If that's the case, then why was he able to get here?"

“Time is a very complex thing, Stark. When you’re making future observations, the future is already determined, and trying to separate it from that timeline is a very difficult thing.”

A TRN-type universe, also known as a temporary reality, is a special type of universe that may not actually split into a multiverse, but the possibility of it exists. Undoubtedly, the so-called Age of Ultron is such a temporary reality. Kang has made up his mind to use the Cosmic Cube to smoothly navigate until 2015, preventing the birth of any Ultron or similar entity. As long as a multiverse rift does not occur by 2015, Kang's dynasty can continue indefinitely.

“My plan is to conquer 2015, to conquer that so-called Age of Ultron.” Kang finally looked at the Avengers: “I need you to stabilize the time portals and notify the armies of the major powers so that they can prepare to set off.”

Watching Kang disappear, Tony shrugged. After dismissing the non-research personnel, he and Pym began working on stabilizing the teleporter. Pym still stared incredulously at the corpse on the ground: "How is this possible? Ultron shouldn't have been able to break through the underlying code..."

"Are you sure?"

“Ultron was not programmed with 0s and 1s, but rather a framework built through the projection of consciousness. The foundation of this framework is ‘nonviolence’ and ‘assisting the Avengers.’ If these two points are denied, then Ultron could not possibly exist.”

Pym frowned as he plugged in the computer. From his perspective, he couldn't understand why Ultron would betray them, unless that thing wasn't Ultron at all. Tony, on the other hand, didn't seem to care too much. He was just checking the computer while thinking about something else. He checked the surroundings and then looked at Pym: "Are you sure?"

"I...I can."

"From the perspective of modern science, Ultron could not have betrayed us. There is only one explanation: Kang modified Ultron with the Cosmic Cube, which is why he deleted Ultron. His modification caused Ultron to become his own enemy, just like all time travel jokes."

Pym remained silent, while Tony continued, "Do you know what this means, Hank? This is an opportunity to prove that as long as Ultron continues to evolve, it can threaten Kang. This is our chance."

"Are you crazy? He has the Cosmic Cube, no one can beat him."

"Come on, haven't you checked your own memories? Kang came to Earth and became invincible, with no one able to defeat him, and everyone surrendered? Then I should have surrendered during the Battle of New York. Without a doubt, our world is not what it is now at all. Kang altered reality to conquer this world."

Tony walked over to Pym and whispered, "Don't you want to know what our original world was like? I can guarantee it was much better than this mess we have now?"

Hank remained silent for a while. The two continued working, and Tony became somewhat irritated. Although he didn't know why Kang was in such a hurry to create a half-finished Kang Dynasty, he knew that as time went by, Kang would eventually create a world that satisfied him, and then they would truly have no chance.

Therefore, we must organize resistance as soon as possible, no matter what.

“I will rebuild Ultron, but I will not change any of Ultron’s underlying logic, and I cannot guarantee that the new Ultron will grow to the same level as before.” Pym finally relented. But Tony never said that he would rely on the Avengers to fight Kang.
