Chapter 533 The Kang Dynasty
Chapter 533 The Kang Dynasty (3)
The unusual search logs of S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Wolverine were quickly captured by S.H.I.E.L.D.'s systems and transmitted to S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury. Fury immediately went to Kang's mothership to report the situation.
What did he search for?
“Peter Parker, an intern at Baxter Building, was highly regarded by Reed Richards, who allowed him to manage Baxter Building in his absence.”
Peter Parker?
Kang tried to recall his list of threats: the gods were banished by him, the Hulk had never been born, and Captain America had not fallen into the North Pole but was still alive and well, just an old man in his twilight years.
Of the remaining people, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers became his subordinates, and he had divided up the world. Apart from Doctor Strange, who had disappeared without a trace, there should have been no threat left.
He had no recollection of this Peter Parker either, and after searching for information, he discovered that this person was not a superhero in the original timeline.
If that's the case, then we can leave it alone.
"He probably has something to do with Baxter Building. This person isn't a threat," Kang said casually, then praised Nick Fury's abilities before returning to his seat.
He awaited his army, which was constantly approaching the limit of 2015. Now, with the Cosmic Cube possessing the same power as the rift that caused the multiverse collision crisis, he believed he could get closer to that point in time.
He wanted to know what had happened there.
Meanwhile, Peter Parker, unaware that he was almost being monitored, was conducting a brand new experiment: using nanobots to create a suit to replace the original Fantastic Four polymer suits. This suit was more powerful and advanced, granting the user a wide variety of abilities.
Even though the Fantastic Four are gone, he doesn't know who will wear this nanobot suit.
"Okay, let me check your homework, Franklin, wow, all correct. You're much better than I was when I was a kid."
"A person can learn calculus when they come down from a tree, Benjamin." Franklin, for some reason, liked to call Peter by his middle name. "It's not a difficult problem at all."
“Then you’ll have to apologize to the Earthlings before Leibniz, Franklin. There are plenty of ancient people these days.” Peter quipped before laughing. “Alright, I trust Herbie can take care of you. Have Herbie contact me if anything happens, okay?”
"Okay, goodbye, Benjamin."
After saying goodbye to Franklin, Peter went downstairs and saw Gwen waiting for him. He took a deep breath nervously, walked over, and asked with a smile, "Why did you come straight here? I was thinking of picking you up."
"How are you going to pick me up? Have you taken your driving test?"
"...No, I'm planning to get a flying car license for 2099 later." Peter smiled a little embarrassedly, then asked, "So, uh, where are we going today?"
You asked me out, and then you didn't know where we were going?
"I respect your opinion."
“My opinion is no opinion, smart kid.” Gwen laughed. “Let’s find somewhere to have lunch first, I’m a little hungry.”
Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy are neighbors and childhood friends. They used to be best friends, and now they're trying to start dating, since Peter doesn't know many girls.
Isn't that right? Who else could an ordinary person like Peter Parker possibly know? The two of them chatted as they ate.
"I'd like to visit a 19th-century Western town this afternoon; I've never ridden a horse before."
The Western town is not actually in the American West, but rather in the location of what was originally Hell's Kitchen in western Manhattan. To demonstrate his power, the conqueror Kang combined seven adventures from different timelines to create the Manhattan we know today. The Lower Manhattan retains its 21st-century style, Hell's Kitchen is a Western town from the mid-to-late 19th century, Midtown is from 2099, the Upper West Side is in the Renaissance style, the Upper East Side is from the Roman Empire era, and Harlem is from the Roaring Twilight period after World War I.
And the Times Park in the middle has been transformed into Jurassic Park, where dinosaurs roam (it should actually be Cretaceous Park).
These locations from different periods pieced together to form the New York City we know today, creating a powerful new metropolis and symbolizing the great residence of the conqueror Kang.
Of course, it's also a great place for dates.
“I don’t really think this is a good idea…Isn’t Uncle George a sheriff in the West?”
Gwen paused for a moment after hearing this, then couldn't help but laugh: "Wait, you're not afraid that my dad will find out if you go on a date with me, are you?"
“No, no,” Peter vehemently denied. “Absolutely not.”
Gwen rolled her eyes at him. "Dad's probably overjoyed, what are you afraid of?"
"Don't worry, he's in a meeting with the NYPD today, so he's not in this small western town."
Peter finally breathed a sigh of relief, but still asked with some concern, "Wouldn't riding a horse be a bit too dangerous?"
"Really? Don't worry, if I fall, you'll catch me, right?"
Peter muttered to himself, "I'm just a scientist, I don't have the powers of a superhero, how could I possibly do that?"
The restaurant's news broadcast the latest current events: the Atlantis Empire from the Atlantic and the Wakanda Empire from Africa had once again broken out in a border conflict. Initially, even Kang the Conqueror didn't realize Atlantis existed; it was only after he conquered the world that Atlantis emerged. However, Kang was very generous, still wholesaling the Atlantic Ocean to Namor, the King of Atlantis.
However, none of these rulers seem satisfied with their territories. Hydra is constantly clashing with Doom, Atlantis and Wakanda are also in conflict, and Mr. Ominous, who controls all of India, seems to be constantly in the news for kidnapping mutant citizens of Australia.
The next news item was quickly broadcast on television.
"Breaking news! The M royal family from Australia is about to visit our beautiful New York."
"Let's go." After finishing their meal and paying the bill, Peter said to Gwen. He stood up, and suddenly, it seemed like a sound went through Peter's head. He looked around and carefully stopped Gwen.
"Wait, there's something going on."
Peter saw several robbers appear outside the convenience store on the street, carrying guns, and walk into the store. As a 16-year-old high school student with a strong sense of justice, after seeing so many superheroes, especially the Avengers fighting bad guys, he was filled with excitement—
He took out his phone and dialed 911.
"Hello, NYPD? There's been a robbery here, the location is..."
