Chapter 518 Counterattack Plan
Finally, Gwen and the others' encounter with Peter was rather awkward and unexpected. It happened when Inspector George Stacy, who was once again planning to go out and find allies within the NYPD, saw the three of them, especially Gwen, as soon as he stepped out of his apartment.

"Gwen?!"

Inspector Stacy stared in disbelief at her daughter's presence, asking incomprehension, "What are you doing here?"

"Um, I..."

“Gwendoryn’s abilities are very important to us. Without her, we wouldn’t be able to get through the Manhattan blockade.” Cindy had helped Gwen out of the predicament, but unfortunately, this wasn’t the kind of help Gwen wanted. Inspector Stacy, upon hearing this, was even more incredulous: “What do you mean? You’re saying Gwen is a superhuman?”

A question mark slowly appeared above Cindy's head, and then she turned to look at Gwen.

It's a bit unbelievable. Neither I nor Peter seem to have hidden our abilities from our families. Peter even mentioned that Inspector Stacy knew his identity. So why didn't you tell your dad about your abilities?
Forget about superpowers, I haven't even told my dad that I signed up for a rock band to play drums instead of ballet at school. Gwen sighed helplessly at this thought.

"It's a bit... complicated. Anyway, I have superpowers, but they're not for fighting. Okay, Dad, where's Peter?"

"He's resting; he's injured and has lost his abilities..."

"what?"

Gwen was incredulous, while Cindy was even more confused. If Peter had lost his powers, why could she still sense him? Something was clearly wrong.

"I have things to do, so please don't cause any trouble for everyone, Gwen."

"What do you mean I'm causing trouble..."

Gwen muttered to herself as she and the others arrived at the temporary base. They saw Peter lying on the ground, sleeping, or rather, sleeping peacefully, except for the strange white battle suit he was wearing that they had never seen before.

Besides these, there are other people here, such as Mr. Negative Martin Lee, the newly found cloak and dagger, and the uninvited Punisher. Of course, there's also the Wild Chapter, though Silver Sable and Black Cat aren't here.

“Okay, it seems everyone’s here.” Gwen crouched down next to Peter and asked, “How is he?”

“The situation isn’t good, Otto. Oh, Dr. Octopus’s reverse transcription serum has exhausted him; he needs rest.” Dr. Connors sighed helplessly. As the only scientist here now, he was responsible for taking care of Peter along with Mr. Negative. Cloak and Dagger were responsible for escorting the other important figures out of Manhattan.

As for ordinary people, while Doctor Octopus doesn't care about other people's lives, he's not indiscriminately killing innocents either. So as long as we don't fight them, we don't need to worry about anything right now.

“I heard that Peter has lost his abilities, but I can sense him.”

Upon hearing Cindy's words, Dr. Connors was taken aback for a moment, then realized who Cindy was and quickly nodded: "Oh, you must be Agent Spider-Silk. Yes, thanks to the fact that Spider-Man has DNA from more than three different mutated spiders in his body, the serum essentially had no effect; it only temporarily suppressed this ability. If we can find some kind of stimulus, perhaps we can reactivate his ability..."

Before Dr. Connors could finish speaking, Gwen pulled another vial of serum from her pocket: "Will this work?"

"this is……?"

“The spider isotope from Earth-65 can temporarily grant spider abilities. Peter brought one from Earth-65 and asked me to take it.” Connors scratched his head, thinking for a moment, and then realized why Peter Parker hadn’t given the serum to Osborn Technologies or S.H.I.E.L.D. He nodded in sudden understanding, then quickly shook his head: “This, I’m afraid, won’t work.”

"?"

"If what you're saying is true, then this is the fourth type of spider gene. Spider-Man now has the DNA of three mutated spiders in his body, which has reached a certain balance, or even an excess. If more spider DNA is injected... I'm afraid he will become another being similar to the Lizard Man."

Those who thought of the lizardmen couldn't help but picture the humanoid spiders, and then they all shook their heads.

“We already have a plan. Osborn Technologies has a dose of Erkins serum. All we need is enough power and Vita rays to activate his abilities. We already have the power, but the problem is the Vita ray emission equipment, which I'm afraid will be available in the short term.”

Cindy took a small box out of her pocket, and Connors looked at her in confusion: "What's this?"

“A 1:1 scale reconstruction of the Spiderweb base. S.H.I.E.L.D. recreated the base based on all the equipment inside, and scaled it down using Pym Particles.” Cindy didn’t see anything wrong with it at all: “It contains all the equipment you need; you just need to find a suitable place to put it.”

Connors nodded absently, then finally understood why Peter would never hand over the spider isotope serum to S.H.I.E.L.D.

Who the hell would feel safe with that?

“Alright…we’ve solved all the problems. Now there’s only one left: we need to wait for time and gather our allies.” Connors said, taking the shrunken web-like base. “This isn’t my forte. I’m afraid we’ll have to wait for Spider-Man to wake up before we can continue.”

"I have a question."

Gwen asked, puzzled, a question that concerned her: "Although I can guess that the black Spider-Man running around the streets of New York is not Peter, if you are all here, then who exactly is that Spider-Man running around the streets?"

Everyone looked at each other, then shook their heads.

Meanwhile, Lightning and Venom were being beaten by the rest of the Sinister Six, starting with Sandman, whom they hadn't fought before.

"There's sand everywhere, I can't deal with him!"

Emerging from yet another sandstorm, Flash roared at Venom, who helplessly explained: "I don't know, Spider-Man used lightning to vitrify the sand."

"Can you unleash lightning?"

After a long silence, Venom said helplessly, "No, I can't."

"Then let's run!" Lightning tried to leave quickly, then saw the scorpion approaching from a distance and complained helplessly.

"My God, again."
