Chapter 508 The Sinister Six-Man Team is Deployed
Chapter 508 The Sinister Six Take Action
"Has it been confirmed that the Avengers have arrived in Europe?"
"Confirmed."
Scorpion McDonald Gagan, watching the news, said, "At least for now, we don't need to worry about the Avengers."
"Speaking of which, how will the others handle this?" Electro asked curiously. In terms of enthusiasm, he and Scorpion were probably the most eager in the whole team to see Spider-Man suffer. Otto remained silent for a moment before giving his answer.
"Someone will take care of them."
In reality, Otto made a deal with Mr. Griffin: the Winter Soldier appearing in Europe was a trap, not even a trap set by Hydra. Rather, it was set by someone who used Hydra's operations.
Otto no longer cared who this Griffin was; he only intended to carry out his plan. He would deal with the Fantastic Four, the Defenders, the X-Men, and even the Avengers. In return, Otto and the Sinister Six had only one task.
Completely eliminate Spider-Man.
"Let's get started, Dillon?"
“I can’t do it. Those damn Avengers did something, I can’t connect to the New York power grid anymore.” Electro cursed under his breath, then looked at Otto: “What do we do? Plan B?”
The entire operation began with Electro, the most powerful member of the team. Plan A was for Electro to absorb all of New York's electricity, seize control of the power grid, and then take control of the entire city. Plan B was for Electro to create an electromagnetic storm to completely paralyze New York's power supply and then take over the city himself.
Otto wasn't surprised that the Avengers would try to target Electro, since no one wanted the Raft prison incident to happen again. He was just quite surprised that the Avengers could actually do it, and that they seemed to have done it quite well. Thinking about this, Otto adjusted his glasses and began to think carefully.
"No, we're changing tactics, Mr. William Baker. Get ready to bring a dust storm to New York."
The sandman smiled.
On the morning of June 1, 2013, New Yorkers witnessed a massive sandstorm rising from the sky, followed by the appearance of a gigantic, terrifying, and towering sandman in the city. At that moment, the main Avengers were in Europe. Peter, who was staying at Avengers Tower, calmly finished his water and asked Ultron, "Can you contact the Fantastic Four?"
"The Fantastic Four's communications are unresponsive."
Where did they go?
Peter muttered to himself, then had Ultron contact the X-Men before immediately donning his gear and setting off. Venom, who hadn't shown his abilities in a long time, also seemed very excited. To fight the Sinister Six, they now had to go all out.
[Go, go, go! 】
The giant Sandman stood up. He did nothing but, as Otto had instructed, continuously use his sand to disrupt the surrounding power grid, sabotaging the entire system and preparing for Electro's invasion of New York's power system. As he slowly advanced this process, he also saw Spider-Man approaching.
Peter was the first to cast a spell, attempting to directly condense the Sandman's spirit and pull it out—this was his backup plan for the Sandman, but the idea was quickly and ruthlessly rejected; his magic was almost completely useless against the Sandman.
“Alright, William, look what we’ve found.” Peter, who had landed around the Sandman, stared at him and said, “Did you find a new circus ringmaster? Or did you hire a completely new magician for your circus?”
"Regarding this matter..." Sandman manipulated the sand and appeared behind Peter, slowly coalescing into a human form to bind him: "Velasco greets you, Spider-Man!"
"What? Velasco?"
Peter was truly shocked by the name. After a brief moment of thought, he immediately came to the only link connecting everything: "Otto and Kang the Conqueror cooperated?"
"Who is that?"
The sand grains binding Peter were instantly heated into glass by the burst of bioelectricity, and then torn apart by Peter. However, now immune to physical attacks, the Sandman quickly began to adjust himself and then tried to cover the tracks of others with a sky full of yellow sand.
Then Peter's spider sense went off, but something felt different.
He had only ever experienced something similar with one person. He dodged the scorpion's mechanized tail attack and the sandman's fist with a somersault, while simultaneously shooting out spider silk to stick to the scorpion's tail that was attacking him from behind: "Scorpion? Looks like someone has forgotten how I ripped off their tail, and doesn't want a new one?"
"You're not going to make it this time, Spider-Man!" Gagan grinned and yanked on his tail, engaging Peter in a brief tug-of-war. Peter stared in shock at the cracked ground beneath his feet as Scorpion pulled him towards him, then raised his arms to block a punch from Scorpion.
The power of this punch far exceeded Peter's previous impression of Scorpion. He looked at Scorpion, whose face was covered in yellow sand, and wondered when his reinforcements would arrive.
Logically, with Iliana around, the X-Men should have been able to teleport to the vicinity very quickly. With the help of the White Queen's telepathic connection and the X-Men's offensive, he should have been able to defeat the Sinister Six very quickly.
But they didn't arrive in time.
Peter took a deep breath. It seemed that something had happened to the X-Men, and the Sinister Six were unlikely to have gone to deal with the X-Men. They had most likely already run into trouble in the short time since he had called them.
-
After receiving Spider-Man's plea for help, Cyclops led a group of X-Men on an immediate mission. While Logan stayed behind with Rakshasa and a few students to investigate the ominous sign, the others used Magik's teleportation to head to downtown New York City to assist.
But just as they were about to enter the Limbo, Iliana was forced to stop. A man sitting in a purple chair was watching them from Limbo. The X-Men had never seen this man before, but those who had exchanged information with the Avengers knew who he was.
"Kang the Conqueror?"
“You guessed your route with ease, mutant.” Conqueror Kang sneered, standing up from his chair. Cyclops immediately opened fire on Kang, but the next second, Kang vanished. They stumbled to the ground and looked around. Iliana was certain she hadn't used teleportation to get here. A sandstorm raged around them; it seemed they had arrived in New York, which had been attacked by the Sandmen.
"This is where?"
Cyclops looked at Emma, hoping she could use her telepathy to sense her surroundings. Just then, a lean, grey-skinned man in a linen robe emerged from the sandstorm. He had blue stripes on his face and looked at the group of people who had suddenly appeared in the sandstorm with incomprehension.
“I am En Shaba Nur, a slave of Pharaoh Ramatut.” He looked at the crowd: “Who are you?”
The Kang Dynasty, initiating!
Just kidding, we'll only activate it after the Sinister Six lose.
