Chapter 499 Our Battle Is Over
Earth, Earth 21923, Wasteland Universe, Spider Headquarters.

"So in the end, Yamashiro Takuya killed the Mother Model Sentinel with a single sword strike. No matter what the enemy's plan was, it couldn't succeed." Spider-Man from Earth-811 met Peter for the first time, and they sat in the reception room of headquarters. Now he could be called Apocalypse Spider-Man, because Apocalypse had turned him into his Apocalypse Knight, greatly enhancing both his abilities and various stats.

"In other words, Earth-811 no longer needs to deal with Nimrod?"

"Maybe not. He still has some of the program on Earth, but at least the Nimrod Sentinels can no longer be produced."

Spider-Man Apocalypse laughed. Perhaps this was the happiest he had laughed in a long time. The future of their world was no longer a dark and chaotic mess; at least they could see some bright prospects.

Well, it's not all that bright in some ways either.

"Where's Apocalypse?" Peter was quite concerned about this guy who hadn't woken up yet on Earth 616. Although Earth 811 had discovered Apocalypse, and Earth 616 could monitor and prevent it, sometimes you can't stop it just because you're careful. Who knows if Apocalypse will be released at some point.

Judging from the situation on Earth 811, Apocalypse is terrifyingly powerful. Not only can he grant others greater power, but he himself is far more powerful than in the movies, and possibly even more powerful than Peter learned from the comics. As soon as he awoke, he turned more than a dozen Nimrod Sentinels into nuclear bombs. In terms of this ability, currently, apart from Thor, probably no one can do anything about him, and the X-Men are no match for him.

Faced with this question, Apocalypse Spider-Man showed a troubled expression for the first time. Now, and for a long time to come, Apocalypse is an indispensable force, not only because he has enough ability to eliminate the remaining Sentinels of Earth 811, but also because his matter control ability is a super power that can turn dust into dust, making it very suitable for reconstruction.

“At least in the short term, he will not dare to act rashly because of Yamashiro Takuya’s intimidation, but I don’t know about the long term.” Peter continued, “However, I suspect that Apocalypse will repeat his previous actions and go into a slumber until the mutant population recovers to a certain level.”

Laser Eyes sighed helplessly.

"That would be wonderful. I hope our world's apocalypse can continue to sleep."

Accompanying Peter were Cyclops and the White Queen from the X-Men, as well as Katie who came along. They arrived here to confirm that the future of the past had indeed been deactivated. Cyclops, upon hearing the good news, finally breathed a sigh of relief. They had done almost nothing in the final battle and had almost been surrounded.

"If only the professor could wake up." Cyclops frowned, thinking. So much had happened lately. For example, the Ominous mutant team—they had actually gotten something out of them. Their leader, Gambit, was touched by Rogue while flirting with her, and immediately fainted and was kidnapped.

The X-Men need to know what the Sinister is planning to do, the full picture of Project X-23, and other things, as well as how to prevent the threat of Apocalypse. It seems that more and more things are happening, and they have limited manpower and capabilities.

But what's more important now—

“We won.” Cyclops smiled. “At least for now, the Sentinels are no longer a threat to mutants. Even Nimrod, who has evolved to his highest level, still cannot completely defeat us. This is our victory.”

"It's always good that everyone wins and the apocalypse is avoided," the White Queen added, then looked at Cyclops, who, understanding the implication, looked at Peter in the context of the occasion.

"Spider-Man, we are very grateful for your help, but unfortunately, we don't have anything to give you in return."

"It's not because of..."

“So, if you’d like, we invite you to become an honorary member of the X-Men. This doesn’t mean you’ll have to assume any obligations related to the X-Men; it’s simply a symbol of your status as one of the X-Men’s closest friends.” Cyclops stood up and extended his hand to Peter. “I’m very sorry we can’t offer any other substantial assistance. All I can do is promise that whatever difficulties you face, the X-Men will be there to help you. We’ll design a set of X-Men’s main uniform for you, although we doubt you’ll need it.”

"Can I make a suggestion?" Peter scratched his head helplessly: "Can I use my red and blue? I don't really like blue with yellow."

“Sorry, Spider-Man, this is our color scheme, you can’t break the formation.” Cyclops laughed, and Peter shook his hand, accepting the honorary title. Then Cyclops looked at Kitty Pryde: “Katie, similarly, I hope you can join the X-Men. Your recent performance and activity have fully proven that you are qualified. Welcome to the X-Men.”

“I think the new mutants’ uniforms are pretty cool,” Katie laughed. “But I guess I didn’t really have a choice.”

“Alright, we still have a lot to do in our world.” Cyclops waved to a few people and then returned to Universe 616 with Emma through the portal built by the Fantastic Four. Katie was unsure whether to follow, while Spider-Man Apocalypse from Earth 811 also stood up: “Me too, I have too many things to take care of, I’m going first.”

"Um, I'll see you off."

Peter quickly followed, but before leaving, he turned to Katie and said, "If you don't mind, you can wait a bit, and then I can show you around the base camp."

"Huh? Oh, okay."

This girl seems a bit dazed.

Peter muttered as he got up. After the two Spider-Men left the room, Apocalypse Spider-Man looked at him with some curiosity: "You should know that we can return to our own world using the bracelet, so theoretically, there is no option to 'send you off'."

"Yes, I just have some questions I want to ask."

Spider-Man looked at Peter.

"You, uh, you have two girlfriends?"

"...That's all you wanted to ask?" Apocalypse Spider-Man was shocked for a moment before realizing what he meant. "Okay, so you want two girlfriends?"

"Do not?"

...Could you give me a definite answer?

“I’m afraid my situation isn’t really suitable as a reference for you.” Apocalypse Spider-Man sighed. “Back then… we only had each other to rely on. So no matter what you plan to do, I can’t offer any advice.”

"Good luck, 15-year-old Spider-Man. You have plenty of time to think about this."
