Chapter 398 The Molten Man Gets Daze!

Chapter 398 The Molten Man Gets Daze!

The Molten Man was struck again by Peter's powerful attack, and he felt pain he hadn't felt since his complete transformation. No, rather, as a scientist, Mark Laxton rarely participated in combat and hadn't experienced much pain.

But Spider-Man brought it.

After being relentlessly attacked, Molten Man realized something. He understood why Spider-Man had chosen him as the target—because he wasn't a "living person"; his body was composed of high-temperature liquid metal. While this allowed him to radiate intense heat, it also represented a limitation.

The scarcity of liquid metal itself, and the fact that high-temperature metals cool and solidify when exposed to rapidly low temperatures, making movement difficult, made him theoretically the weakest and easiest member of the elemental group to capture.

In fact, the Wild Chapter did capture the body of a Molten Man once, but the Molten Man itself, as a spirit creature, escaped, so it "resurrected." But what about this time?

Spider-Man and the Wild Band approached the Molten Man differently. The Wild Band targeted him because he was the easiest to capture, but Spider-Man's reasons were entirely different.

Because I am a Molten Man, I am your greatest enemy, that's why you target me like this! That must be it!

"I'm not someone to be trifled with, Spider-Man!"

As the Molten Man spoke, he took another heavy punch. Then, enduring the pain of being beaten by Spider-Man, he began to heat up continuously. Under the flames, the surface of his black body cracked and burst out with extremely high temperatures. Sylvia almost immediately issued an emergency evacuation order, and everyone, including Venom and Cindy, began to flee with the others.

Molten Man tried to catch up with Venom, but was grabbed by the Spectral Spider-Man and punched again, pinning Molten Man to the spot. However, under his flames, there was almost no black liquid metal body to be seen, only a bright red heat.

Peter realized something was wrong and immediately used his spirit form to pull the other's spirit upwards, soaring into the sky. Even so, when they reached an altitude of nearly two thousand meters, the Molten Man still achieved his goal.

As the air refracts light due to the high temperature, another sun rises over Madrid, the capital of Spain.

Countless water droplets in the air were evaporated in an instant, the condensing sand was melted into glass in a flash, the swirling whirlwind was extinguished by the high temperature, and the crimson light illuminated the entire sky. The molten man wanted to laugh out loud, but his body had already been completely destroyed.

In an instant, the enormous, intense heat of the flames completely cleared the clouds from the night sky, and countless starlight streamed down through the heavens.

The sky was cloudless, and the starlight was perfect.

The intense heat still radiated back to the surface. At the site of the Royal Research Institute in Madrid, Spider-Man's body lay limply on the ground. The symbiote had long since retreated into its body. Within a few hundred meters, apart from the research institute itself, all the moisture in the plants and animals had evaporated. Spider-Man didn't appear to have become a dried-up corpse yet, but the Molten Man seemed close enough.

The molten metal molecules that had exploded at extremely high temperatures were gradually condensed and reformed into the shape of the Molten Man. The molten metal on his body became almost viscous, turning into a black color that still emitted high temperatures, but was no longer so fiery; only slight flames burned around his body. The Molten Man landed on the ground, and he was absolutely certain that when he exploded, he saw Spider-Man escape into his body.

Without a doubt, it was because the symbiote couldn't withstand the high temperatures, and Spider-Man had to go back if he didn't want to turn into a dried-up corpse. He looked at Spider-Man, walked up to him, and revealed a smug smile.

"In the end, I still won. Spider-Man, neither you nor the symbiote on your body are a match for me, nor for a new sun."

As the Molten Man spoke, he made his palms turn red again, about to grab Spider-Man's head, but just before he could make his move, the other man uttered a short phrase.

"The Crimson Chains of Seratok".

Crimson chains flew out from Peter's body and instantly seized the molten man's spirit. Then, several symbiote tentacles appeared from behind Spider-Man, spraying freezing liquid onto the molten man's body to physically cool him down.

Peter stood up, dusted off his uniform, and looked at the Molten Man.

"If we had known about your research results in advance, we could have calculated the range of an explosion of a heavy metal of equal volume. The reason you exploded at that altitude was not because I could only fly that fast, but because I needed to fly that fast to make you think you could take me down, or come close to taking me down."

As Peter spoke, he watched the liquid nitrogen spray continuously, felt the low temperature around him, took a deep breath, and then pulled on the chains in front of him, pulling out the molten man's spirit—a scientist who looked to be in his forties and was somewhat balding. Peter then shrugged slightly.

"Furthermore, I don't necessarily need to be in spirit form to deal with you. Although I don't know many spells, I am still a novice mage. I just need you to get the impression that Spider-Man must be in spirit form to harm and attack the elementals, so that you will lower your guard."

"Also, you're right, you are indeed a very big problem. High temperature and sound waves are both things that can cause serious damage to symbiotes. Now, we've at least caught one of them."

"Welcome to prison, Mark Laxton. By the way, I'm pretty sure all your teammates have escaped."

Inside the Royal Research Institute in Madrid, Sylvia watched with some uncertainty as Spider Silk and the Black Cat modified a mobile cell, and asked tentatively, "Are you really sure this thing can hold a Molten Man?"

"If you ask me, I don't know, but you have to believe Spider-Man, after all, he's a real magician."

Black Cat clapped his hands, signifying that he had finished his work: "It looks like we can at least enjoy ourselves in Madrid for three days now. The remaining elementals will probably have to figure out a way to deal with them before they dare to make another move, right?"

Looking at the cage, Sylvia frowned. She never expected that the four cyborgs from the Elementals were actually magical creatures. Just who were they to be able to transform people into magical beings?

Perhaps only magic can counter magic?
