Chapter 336 Ghostbusters

"In the name of Agamotto..."

Strange, from an unknown Earth, cast a white spell whose power was severely weakened at Limbo, applying a buff to everyone present. The main purpose was to protect everyone's souls from being excessively affected by Limbo. It was impossible to be completely unaffected, but at least it could be weakened, allowing everyone to live a little longer.

Then, Strange, with a dejected look on his face, chose to skip over Peter.

"Don't look at me, Spider-Man. Your soul is protected by the Web of Fate. Perhaps among all the spider totems in the entire multiverse, only yours is protected. The power of Limbo cannot harm you."

The dejected Strange, having completed his spell, walked to the side. Although it sounds absurd, the leader of this Ghostbusters team that was about to set off was indeed Strange, the one who failed to save his own universe.

"Alright, guys, I have to say, I knew this day would come. There's always a bunch of guys who come up with some outrageous idea to send us all to our deaths. I just didn't expect it to come from a world that hasn't been invaded yet."

A dejected Strange delivers a completely unenthusiastic pre-battle speech: "Most of us are the last survivors of our own universes. We've all lost our homes, so we have nothing left to lose but our lives. Now some kid says he has a way to beat Velasco. Well then, let's give it a try. It's not a loss if we die, and a huge bonus if we succeed."

"Alright, everyone, go and die!"

A dejected Strange called out weakly, then walked over to Peter and asked, "Are you sure you have a plan, kid?"

Peter looked at the other person; he had confirmed with his spider-sense and divination that everyone here was fine.

"I am sure."

Velasco sat atop his throne made of bones, awaiting the arrival of those poor souls. In his hand lay an amulet containing a pentagram array, each point holding a bloodstone formed from a human soul.

Five bloodstones from Earth 616 are contained within this bloodstone amulet. A magic circle has already been set up. Once you arrive at Earth 616, the magic circle will be automatically triggered, and the great Xisorn will personally descend.

The so-called Sorcerer Supreme of the Supreme Universe could never be a match for the god of the underworld, Sithon; at that time, no one will be able to stop him.

The premise is that he has to pretend to lose the battle, making Spider-Man believe that he has saved the X-Men from a powerful dimensional lord. Only then will Spider-Man open a door to other dimensions, allowing everyone to run in, so that he can follow and enter Universe 616.

He was thinking about how to make his defeat seem more convincing, so he stood up, coughed twice, and cleared his throat.

"Damn Spider-Man! You actually... No, the emotion isn't quite there."

Velasco stepped down from the throne, raised his head amidst the incomprehensible gazes of his demonic servants, and revealed a resolute and unyielding expression: "Spider-Man, perhaps you will defeat him this time... Hey, I'm the villain, he's the one running for his life, no, no."

"Ahem, Spider-Man, do you think you can escape? The Lord of Limbo will... Isn't that a bit too cliché?"

Velasco paced back and forth. As a demon sorcerer who had fought against the great poet Dante during the Renaissance, he also had his own ambitions. He took a deep breath, adopted the mannerisms he used when performing plays in Rome, and began to formulate his lines.

"The predetermined fate will not change, Spider-Man, brimstone and fire... No normal person would speak like that, again." So when the Immortal entered Velasco's palace, he saw a demon in human skin (literally) reciting lines in a Shakespearean tone: "My gaze will come like the cold sunlight, Spider-Man, Hell is full, your world will face its final judgment, and then... Ah, you have come."

With an expressionless face (or perhaps no longer one), Velasco composed himself and stared at the Immortal: "So, are you satisfied with my gift?"

"Promethium is indeed a very powerful energy source, far more efficient than any known energy source, even more efficient than antimatter. The technological potential of Limbo far exceeds my imagination."

Velasco's gift to the Immortals was a special substance found only in Limbo: promethium (not the DC one). This metal exists only deep within surface-generated caves in Limbo, appearing in the shape of an animal heart. It is a silvery liquid metal that is very similar to the Symbiote in both appearance and material properties.

It can even be made into liquid metal armor similar to a symbiote, which is extremely rare for time travelers like immortals.

Having received the benefits, the Immortal ignored Velasco's flamboyant performance and simply came over to give a heads-up: "Spider-Man and his team have already started their operation, and I'm leaving soon. At that time, the static field on the X-Men will be very fragile and will collapse with just a slight touch."

"Isn't this a good thing? To give them some hope."

Velasco sat back in his seat, smiled and answered, then politely watched the Immortal leave. He took a deep breath, preparing to continue rehearsing what would happen in a little while, but the Immortal turned back.

"I still advise you not to underestimate Spider-Man and his amazing friends, or you'll suffer a big setback."

"Do you think I haven't killed many Spider-Men? I'm confident."

As long as Spider-Man's soul isn't harmed, Nice and Knuckle's powers won't be triggered, which is why Velasco is so confident. And since Velasco is so self-assured, the Immortals won't bother with him and leave with their promethium.

Velasco finally breathed a sigh of relief and began rehearsals.

"It has to be realistic and tragic. Everyone except the people of Earth 616 can be killed. Let them go to extremes, thinking that they were almost wiped out. That's what makes it realistic."

In the midst of rehearsals, Velasco suddenly laughed, sensing the arrival of Spider-Man and his crew. He cleared his throat and strode out with light steps.

"Now, ladies and gentlemen, readers of this book, everything is ready, and the second act of the tragedy—is about to begin!"

Velasco's comedic talent is still developing.

Actually, I've already enhanced Velasco, because in the comics, Velasco's master isn't even Sithon, but rather the ancient gods sealed on the borders of Hell. And who are these ancient gods? They are the Mabdhara, the rulers of the N'Garai race. And who are these things?
They are a servant race created by Sithon...

It's hard to imagine that this guy, who works for Chthon's lackey, would actually be able to dine at the same table as Mephisto and Dormammu so often.
