I'm working on Marvel's Spider-Man in American comics.

Chapter 290 Give me more electricity!

Chapter 290 Give me more electricity!

As Electro Max Dillon was about to arrive in New York, he witnessed an incredibly disheartening scene: the city's lights went out almost instantly! Countless lights went out in a flash, plunging the entire city into darkness overnight. From Long Island, where the Statue of Liberty stands, to Manhattan, the heart of New York, everything fell into a deathly silence in a single night.

Rather than letting the electric man absorb it, it's better to shut it down ourselves; this is the first step in the whole plan.

"No! No! No!"

The Electric Man felt immense pain; he needed electricity! He craved electricity!
Every inch of his skin (although whether he had any skin at all was questionable) craved electrical energy. The residual current in his body made it almost impossible for him to feel any comfort in any movement. He could feel those tiny currents gnawing at his skin, and every movement was a painful torment, as if countless ants were biting at his bones.

Even though it was composed entirely of electricity, he still felt drenched in sweat and a strange chill throughout his body.

Electricity! He needs electricity!
Only more electricity can alleviate my pain.

"what!!!"

He flew over Queens, skimming over countless apartment buildings, draining the meager energy from residents' phones, computers, and even power banks. Some who ignored the Avengers' and government's warnings set up their own diesel generators and opened their own 24-hour convenience stores, only to have Electro in the air overload and blow them up.

Near a private hospital, several robbers were preparing to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to steal a lot of things. They were shining flashlights, raising crowbars and baseball bats, ready to smash the hospital's windows when suddenly the flashlights emitted a burst of electric sparks, plunging them into darkness. The robbers looked at each other in disbelief, one of them being knocked to the ground with a crowbar. The remaining robbers, not knowing what had happened, looked left and right, but saw no one.

In the darkness, everyone was knocked unconscious by sticks.

"Well, it seems being a superhero isn't such an easy thing after all."

Gwen wiped the sweat from her brow as she looked at the villains she had knocked out with her abilities. She really hadn't received any physical enhancements; this was just too much effort.

And that flying, crackling thing in the sky, it drained my phone's battery. It probably sucked up all the power from a single AA battery.

But for Max Dillon, it still wasn't enough.

"Where's the electricity?! Where's the electricity?!"

"Where's my electricity?!"

He had already flown around Brooklyn and Queens, absorbing far too little electrical energy to satisfy his needs; he desperately craved power. But at this moment, even Avengers Tower was without any electricity.

He's going to other cities to find more electricity!
Suddenly, he felt an electric current surge in Manhattan. Electro smiled ecstatically and then charged toward the direction of the current.

Peter was the one generating the electricity.

At this moment, he was wearing the Anti-Electro suit, which was specially designed to fight Electro. Some parts of the suit used armor-like structural designs, especially on the chest, shoulders, wrists and calves. In addition, the color scheme was almost identical to the blue and white of the original suit, but the lines extending from the spider icon on the chest also spread to the calves and arms.

As bioelectricity surged from Peter's body towards his skin, first the goggles and the spider emblem on his chest lit up, then all the spiderweb patterns on the suit illuminated. Tactical information appeared on Peter's goggles. He took a deep breath and, mimicking the movements of athletes on television, stretched his limbs. "I heard this suit can reach supersonic speeds, even hypersonic speeds," Quicksilver exclaimed, looking at Peter's glowing new suit. "Want to have a race?"

"Never mind, let's stick to plan. Quicksilver, it's up to us to catch that guy." Peter shrugged. Quicksilver smiled and left, while Peter stood on the top of Avengers Tower, waiting for Electro to fly up to him. Electro's eyes lit up when he saw Peter, and he exclaimed in surprise, "Electric?!" before pouncing on him, not caring whether the opponent was Spider-Man who had beaten him up before, or whether there was anything wrong with his new suit.

He rushed forward and grabbed Spider-Man's shoulder. A surge of bio-electricity flowed from Spider-Man's body into Peter's. Peter began to feel his bio-electricity weakening, and even his grip on the wall was decreasing.

But before Peter was completely drained, he grabbed Electro's arm and yanked it hard. The new suit's gauntlets, carrying the electricity emanating from Electro, recharged the suit. Electro let out a painful howl.

This is a trap!
Electro immediately realized what was happening. He dared not stay any longer; this place was draining his energy. He still had so much electricity to draw from, and he couldn't afford to be caught here.

"Hey, my God, is it only when you're trying to escape that you get this excited about going to an electrocution rehabilitation center?"

Peter watched as Electro flew away and immediately rushed out. His running was also lightning-fast, and his speed surpassed all previous limits. He broke the sound barrier in one breath and landed on the wall, where he began to chase Electro at high speed. Thanks to the bio-field device that Osborn had given him, he did not need to worry about breaking the glass even when running on the glass wall.

It can even continue to launch spider silk, creating a supersonic swing.

But this is not its final effect.

"Okay, finally connected." Tony, who had been offline for several minutes and couldn't stand it any longer, finally reconnected thanks to the rebooted suit system: "Power is being used up quickly, Spider-Man. You need to catch Electro again as soon as possible to get new power from him."

"That depends on how well the bait is prepared."

High in the Manhattan sky, the injured Electro is fleeing Spider-Man when suddenly he sees the Baxter Building in the distance light up. Could that be another trap?

"I'm an energy being now, I'll be fine. At worst, I'll just electrocute someone!"

Electro-Man said menacingly as he arrived at the Baxter Building and rushed straight to the power supply unit, where he saw a giant... hamster wheel.

"Hey buddy, how's my run?"

A silver-haired boy in a green, abrasion-resistant suit laughed as he left the hamster wheel. The electricity immediately began to dissipate, and Electro eagerly began to absorb the lost energy. But Spider-Man had already caught up behind him, grabbed his arm, and once again pulled the current out of his body.

The electric man let out a painful howl in an instant.

I would still like to thank the chief designer Yao Bian for designing the Extreme Speed Suit, or rather, the Anti-Electro-Lightning Suit.
