Chapter 286 Lady Ominous vs. Magneto

Magneto arrived at his vault, but he did not go down easily. He had learned from Logan that the Ominous possessed the technology to integrate the X-gene of mutants, and that he also had the mutant gene of the leech. Magneto could not approach easily.

Unfortunately, the clones' abilities couldn't match the original's, making it impossible to suppress Magneto. Magneto maintained a shield with one hand, blocking Iceman's attacks, while his other hand conjured a large blade of liquid metal, slicing through the ice pillars Iceman had created. Angel, seizing the opportunity, charged directly at Magneto. Despite carrying no lethal weapons, he moved with incredible speed. Magneto understood Angel's intentions; these clones undoubtedly carried the mutant "Leech's" genes, which would weaken his abilities upon close proximity.

So he unleashed his greatsword, and the liquid metal instantly covered the angel's ominous wings. The excessive weight overwhelmed him, and he crashed into the bottomless vault, breaking his wings with a crack.

But Ms. Ominous remained calm, even after witnessing Iceman Ominous being completely annihilated by Magneto's liquid metal tornado and seeing Magneto directly cover Cyclops Ominous's eyes with an almost endless supply of liquid metal.

She had nothing to panic about.

"Where is the gene editing machine?"

Magneto stared at the ominous woman, descending steadily, and asked her the most important question. Just as the ominous woman was about to say something polite, Magneto pierced her brain with an iron rod.

Since she hasn't been anywhere else anyway, we might as well just kill her and then look for her later.

As Magneto thought this, he gradually descended into the vault. However, a burst of red smoke suddenly appeared at the bottom of the vault, and a red version of Nightcrawler appeared on the open ground where the gene-editing device should have been placed, accompanied by Mr. Ominous. Mr. Ominous smiled as he looked at Magneto as he floated down.

“I must say, Eric, you are more powerful and more terrifying than ever before, but unfortunately, I don’t need to deal with you. After all, while you created a mutant nation, I also found a group of like-minded mutants.”

Magneto remained silent, only clenching his fist. In an instant, a vast expanse of metal enveloped them. The Fiend raised his hand, barely managing to resist Magneto with the same magnetic power. He was crushed into a pulp in less than two seconds, but that was enough time for Red Devil to leave with the gene-editing device shrunk by Pym particles.

Magneto left the vault with a dark expression. Today, although he had killed six clones of the Fiend in one fell swoop, the guy had still achieved his goal. Magneto had already seen the shrunken gene-editing device. There was no doubt that only Hank Pym's technology could do this. He wanted to ask the Avengers how they had managed to get Pym Particles into the Fiend's hands, but when he floated into the sky, he only saw a bolt of lightning rapidly fleeing towards Manhattan.
