I'm working on Marvel's Spider-Man in American comics.

Chapter 270 The Power of the Cosmic Captain!

Chapter 270 The Power of the Cosmic Captain!

Whether it was Magneto and the Human Torch fighting outside, Scarlet Witch and X-Rayon on the city wall, or the others inside the castle, everyone witnessed this scene. With a violent flash, Spider-Man was blasted away, while the superhumans' super vision allowed them to clearly see the shattered Thor's hammer.

Almost everyone thought that Spider-Man was doomed.

But Doom didn't move, because he noticed that Strange was simply watching all this with a smirk. Although he looked down on Strange, he had to admit the knowledge and vision passed down in Kamar-Taj, and that Strange's confidence must have its reasons.

Then, they saw the zombie Sentinel rushing up to the fallen Spider-Man, intending to feast on him.

They saw the zombie sentinel sent flying by a single punch.

Just a few seconds ago.

Peter saw stars, endless stars, a vast galaxy appeared before his eyes. Then, a power surrounded him. Peter opened his mouth to ask something, but the power answered first. Peter instantly understood what this power was. Then, he stretched out his hand, and energy burst forth, punching the zombie sentinel flying.

The zombie sentinel, flying backwards into the air, was both angry and terrified. He was angry that this piece of flesh dared to resist him, and he was terrified because, for some reason, he felt that the piece of flesh that had injured him was no longer flesh!

"what are you!"

Floating out of the deep crater was Spider-Man, but not entirely Spider-Man. His entire body was covered in deep black, with shimmering, flowing light spots floating on it, turning his entire body surface into a starry sky. The simple patterns on his body, as well as his hands and feet, were silver, connecting with the silver spider patterns on his body.

"We are one, we are many, we are mortals, and we are also immortal."

"We are the guardians of life and the creation of the universe, and we choose the selfless to use our power."

Only after the mysterious voice sounded near the zombie did he hear Spider-Man's additional comment.

"He means that He is the power of mystery, or the power of Captain Universe, and now, I am Captain Universe."

Venom sighed as it sensed yet another consciousness squeezing in, then made room for the Mysterious Force.

I must say, this seat is already taken, but since you're so kind, please go first.

Peter charged at the zombie Sentinel again, punching him away. He then made a gesture as if to shoot webs, but no webs shot out. Instead, the zombie Sentinel's body began to disintegrate. The zombie Sentinel glared angrily at Peter, then began to control its own molecules and fight against Spider-Man.

"This won't work; we can't defeat the Sentinels this way."

Peter spoke as he pondered, but Venom raised a puzzled question.

"Isn't three minutes enough?" "But if we can find a way to eliminate this guy, then of course we have to try!" Peter roared as he tried to disintegrate the zombie sentinel using molecular manipulation. He then rushed up and punched it hard, followed by another punch, sending the sentinel flying out of Latveria's range. He then quickly followed after it, while thinking of a countermeasure.

Captain Universe's power allows for molecular control, matter transformation, and even a degree of reality manipulation. This power is a force of light, completely opposite to Knull's. If Knull is a god of darkness and nothingness, then Captain Universe's power is a god of light and life. Furthermore, the exact nature of Captain Universe's power is uncertain; it's essentially an amplification of the host's power. The host's own strength and the way it's used are the most important factors determining the intensity of Captain Universe's power.

However, the sentinels were more powerful than Peter had imagined.

The same molecular control ability allowed the Sentinel to stop Peter's attempt to break down matter, while freeing up enough power to fight him. In an instant, the two had crossed most of Europe, flattening countless mountains and destroying the terrain, but Peter still could not gain the upper hand.

Perhaps all we can do is hold out for as long as possible before leaving this path?
Peter began to think rapidly. He started to recall all the plot points he could remember from the Zombie Heroes series, and tried his best to think of any solutions. After exchanging another punch with the zombie sentinel, he actually thought of a possible solution and took a deep breath.

Then, Peter gathered almost all his strength, emitted a dazzling light, and blasted it with all his might onto the zombie sentinel.

"Is that all you can do? You're no match for me."

“In Captain’s words, I could fight you for a day, but I don’t need to.” Peter looked at the zombie sentinel flying toward him: “The virus you’re infected with, neither you nor Captain Universe’s power can reverse it. But I can do something else: feed you and eliminate your hunger. For now, temporarily, you’re not hungry.”

The zombie sentinel that had charged toward Peter froze in place, standing there blankly, and then fell to the ground as if it had lost all its strength. Peter quickly followed and found that the zombie sentinel had disappeared and been replaced by a thin young man wearing a T-shirt and casual pants.

Once zombie heroes briefly lose their sense of hunger, their morality and past emotions resurface. This is the method Peter devised to defeat the zombie sentinels: turn them back into ordinary zombie Bob.

“Oh my god… what have I done…” Zombie Sentinel, no, Zombie Bob looked at Peter: “End this, Spider-Man, end this, please.”

"Farewell, my friend."

Bob was completely disintegrated without resistance. Peter then charged back towards Latovilla Castle, eliminating almost all the invading zombies along the way. He then landed on the castle's corridor. As he landed, the Captain Universe Force within him began to detach from his body, floating in mid-air before disappearing.

"I thought He would stay longer."

“Once the mysterious force confirms that the threat has left, it will leave the host’s body.” Strange walked over and, without giving Peter a chance to ask how he got there, interrupted him directly: “Alright, Spider-Man, we need to talk in a bit, but first of all, you’ve been in this universe long enough, it’s time to leave.”

Thanks to Yao Bian for designing the new Captain Universe Spider-Man suit; the original comic book version was just too ugly.

The inspiration for giving zombie sentinels a feeling of fullness comes from the X-Men weapons comics; the Phoenix Harp deprives zombie Wolverine of his hunger, preventing him from attacking his teammates.
