Chapter 269 The Sentinels Are Unstoppable
In the throne room of the destroyed castle, Reed raised his head and looked at the mysterious golden superhero rushing towards Peter on the monitor screen, then looked at Doom.

"Can you go help, Victor?"

“Heroism and suicide are two different things, Richards.” Doom crossed his arms and gave Reed a cold glance. “Can’t you see that monster’s energy parameters? If you want me dead, just say so. Compared to dealing with him, wiping out all the zombies outside might be a simple matter…”

Before Doom could finish speaking, Reed could sense Doom's displeasure and tension from the change in his eyes beneath the mask. Then, Reed felt as if he had seen golden sparks somewhere before, and a portal as tall as a person appeared, from which an exasperated Strange emerged.

"I told you! Spider-Man! Unless your web of destiny is calling you, don't wander into the multiverse! What the hell is this place?!"

Strange dusted himself off, watched a large group of refugees pass through a multiverse portal, shrugged helplessly, and then looked at Doom: "Ah, Victor von Doom, Morgan le Fay's student and lover, so you've got your business here too."

"Morgan Le Fay?!"

Reed asked Doom uncertainly, "Is it Morgan le Fay, King Arthur's half-sister? The one who gave birth to Mordred?"

"..." Doom remained silent, a rare occurrence. Reed then looked at Strange: "I'm sorry, Sorcerer Supreme, but is multiverse travel an extremely dangerous thing? Perhaps you should have warned us sooner..."

"Magic and technology operate on different principles for multiverse travel. Your traversal does not weaken the barriers of reality. If reality is a wall, what you are doing is forcibly digging a hole in the wall and crawling out, but such a passage is temporary and not permanent. Strange explained, then realized Reed might not understand magic, so he simply shook his head. He then looked at Ash and the Necronomicon in his hand, but didn't say much. He just looked at the screen. Even the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth 616 frowned when he saw the Sentinel. Reed, on the other hand, looked at the portal that Strange had opened. The portal had become very small, but it was still working.

"Why do you keep the portal open, Sorcerer Supreme?"

“A guest from outer space has come to see us, or more precisely, to see Spider-Man. He is Knull’s nemesis and wants to talk to Spider-Man about Knull.” Strange raised an eyebrow. “And right now, he is summoning his counterpart from this universe.”

At this very moment, high above the clouds, Peter is holding Thor's hammer, confronting a zombie sentinel.

"If you want some fresh meat, buddy, I've got plenty here!"

Thor's hammer flew out with full force, striking the zombie Sentinel who was flying towards Peter. The zombie Sentinel caught the hammer with his arms and flew backward for a while before looking at Thor and Spider-Man in front of him with some confusion.

After violently hurling Mjolnir aside, the zombie Sentinel reached for Peter. Peter stretched out both hands simultaneously, summoning Mjolnir with his right hand and conjuring a spear made entirely of lightning with his left, which he hurled. The zombie Sentinel ignored it, smashing the lightning spear to pieces with its body. Then, it grabbed Peter by the neck, slamming him to the ground. It opened its characteristic zombie-like, lipless maw, and Peter groaned helplessly, "Dude, do you know how long it's been since you brushed your teeth?"

The zombie sentinel remained silent, then took a bite, but before it could even bite into the flesh, Thor's hammer struck him squarely in the jaw, sending him flying. Peter stood up, reached for Thor's hammer again, and watched the sentinel, who was clutching his broken jaw and shattered teeth, shrug. "Sorry, buddy," he said, "but have you thought about buying a set of dentures before you come back? Dentists aren't charging you these days anyway, you can go get your surgery done first..."

The zombie sentinel straightened its jaw, reconstructed its molecules, and opened its huge mouth. Peter shook his head helplessly, truly baffled as to how this thing managed to get infected.

So, even molecular reconstruction can't free oneself from zombie state? Or is it simply that one doesn't want to be free?
Peter wouldn't get an answer for the time being, because the zombie sentry rushed over again. He grabbed the hammer that Peter was swinging, then threw Peter aside, hammer and all, before bursting out with a dazzling light that blasted Peter away.

Thor's hammer, which he had tossed to the ground, flew up again and struck the zombie sentinel on the head. The zombie sentinel gripped the hammer, its eyes wide open, intending to finish off the damned thing. Peter reached out to pull the hammer away, but found he simply didn't have the strength.

We haven't even reached 30 seconds yet.

“Yeah, I know, I know.” Peter helped himself to his feet, using his symbiote to pierce through the zombie mockingbird that was trying to ambush him from behind. Then he looked at Thor’s hammer, which was being held by the zombie sentinel: “Are you ready? We need that hammer.”

Do you know what the worst situation is, Peter?

"What is it?"

We got killed and then Gnar was released into this universe. Gnar fought this guy, and the rest of us were able to get back safely.

“Yeah, you’re a true partner.” Peter smiled and then rushed toward the sentry. The sentry didn’t notice his actions because in nearly half a minute, he had already completed his task.

Endless brilliance erupted, countless cracks appeared on Thor's hammer, and then it shattered into pieces. Peter felt the power draining from his body and was blasted backward by the immense force, falling to the ground.

We're finished.

Peter was dizzy from the explosion and didn't have time to answer Venom. He looked up at the sky and, whether it was his imagination or not, he felt... the stars were closer?

The zombie sentry rushed over, pinned Peter down, opened its gaping maw, and bit down hard. However, the sentry's head was held up by something.

Is that the red glove from Spider-Man's suit?

It was a silver hand.
