Chapter 267 What exactly have you been protecting?!

Peter had always known who had caused the zombie crisis. In the future, the zombie heroes of Earth 2149 would travel to Earth Z (Z stands for zombie, officially numbered 91126) and unleash another biohazard crisis there. Eventually, when the Hunger Virus infected the world's two strongest heroes, Hulk and Sentinel, everything spiraled out of control.

After being devoured on Earth Z, Ant-Man 2149, who had traveled to Earth Z, planned to use the zombie Sentinels as an energy source to activate the Watcher's multiverse shuttle and travel to the next universe. However, thanks to the efforts of Spider-Man and others from Earth 2149, the zombie heroes were eventually defeated.

The observers, having witnessed all of this, decided to send the zombie sentinels to Earth 2149 as the beginning of the zombie crisis on Earth 2149, thus forming a spacetime loop and limiting the spread of the hunger virus in the multiverse.

In another universe, Mr. Fantastic Reed built the first multiverse shuttle for that universe and pressed a button. Then, a purple lightning bolt pierced through the clouds and struck Manhattan. Zombie Sentinels appeared in that universe and began to devour everything.

“I was considering whether directly destroying the very fabric of this universe could prevent this crisis. But I discovered something else.” Doom looked at the Observer: “If you intend to continue your cyclical game, you can go back there and keep playing. As for now—”

"You'd better not stop Doom."

"I...I, this is terrible."

The observer watched all this in disbelief. He thought he had stopped the apocalypse, but reality told him that it was just wishful thinking. Only the other members of the Fantastic Four looked at Reed with confusion.

Why is it you again?

"I... well, that universe is a derivative of this universe, so he is the counterpart of Reed Richards in this universe, and has nothing to do with me."

Just as this apocalypse was about to arrive, an army of the dead descended. Awakening from the graveyards and born from the darkness, millions of souls devoured by these zombies returned. More than the monsters, these were the true avengers. They began to fight the super-powered zombies, preventing them from approaching the castle. They were already dead, and could no longer be infected.

"Johnny, have you finished injecting the serum? We need you for air defense."

"It's all taken care of already." Human Torch smiled slightly and rose into the sky, while Magneto, who had been injected with the serum, took a deep breath and also flew up. They needed to buy enough time for all the disaster victims to evacuate.

“I know what you’re thinking. You want to design an explosion after everyone leaves, directly tearing the reality of Earth 2149 apart.”

As Reed injected the serum into the Stone Golem, he looked at Doom, who had injected himself with the serum: "With a little tampering with the multiverse shuttle and adjusting the particle collision parameters, you can at least blow up this Earth."

"This place is meaningless."

Doom did not refute, but simply watched as Doom from Universe 2149 directed the refugees to leave. The Necronomicon's dark legion could not hold out for long, and what would happen then?

　Due to interference from various powerful beings, the timeline of Earth-2149 has indeed collapsed. This includes, but is not limited to: the invasion of the Ape Universe causing Reed to be torn apart instead of Magneto receiving the Sentinels; the zombie Wolverine being taken away by the out-of-control Destroyer in the Exiles publication; and the zombie Wolverine being taken away by Phoenix Harp from Earth-80777 and exiled to Earth-91 in the Weapons X-Men publication, thus creating a large number of alternative universes for Earth-2149.

　　Due to the different publications, the technological level of Universe 2149 also differs. In Ultimate Fantastic Four, it is clearly comparable to Universe 616 of the same period, but in the main publication, it becomes a technology tree from the 70s, which is very strange.
