Chapter 263 The Arrival of Doctor Doom
Thanks to Amadeus' timely notification, the Avengers quickly sealed off the entire Baxter Building. Waves of Ultron robots were going in and out, trying to pull as many people as possible out. However, because of this, it seemed that the Fantastic Four inside had also made some strategic adjustments and had begun to indiscriminately infect the survivors inside.

As a large hole was smashed through the exterior wall of the high-rise building, a tall, muscular man carrying someone under his arm leaped down and landed in front of the Avengers on guard duty. Thor looked at the man who appeared with considerable surprise and asked in astonishment, "Hercules? You've come to Midgard too?"

"Ha ha, Thor!"

After setting Amadeus down, Hercules gave Thor a hug without any formality: "The major pantheons have already begun to recover, didn't you know? You're not the only one who came down."

“Um, Thor, we’ll talk about your mythical friends later. First, we need to deal with the Fantastic Four…”

Before Tony could finish speaking, a green portal opened in front of him. Instead of the Sorcerer Supreme Strange, who was always slacking off, a man wearing high-tech armor, an iron mask, and a green cloak emerged from the portal.

"Doctor Doom? What are you doing here?"

“Reed Richards made Doom clean up his mess. I have no interest in messing with your circus, Stark.”

Doom had opened the portal here simply for convenience. After tearing off Amadeus's internship badge from his chest, he swaggered into the Baxter Building. Peter, hanging upside down on his spiderwebs, asked Tony, "Are we just going to let him in like this?"

“What else? We don’t know if those zombies are Reed infected by the multiverse virus or if they’re from the multiverse. And if we get infected, it’ll be even more troublesome.” Tony didn’t care whether Doom went to scout or die: “Since he’s Reed’s old rival, let him go in and give it a try.”

"Oh, it's Doom of this universe. He seems to have discovered something."

When Dr. Doom swaggered in, Zombie Reed smiled and said, "I'm suddenly very curious about what Doom's flesh tastes like."

At this moment, the ground of the Baxter Building was littered with the remains of Ultron robots. Doctor Doom didn't even glance at the robots; facing the infected ordinary zombies, he simply waved his hand, sending countless maggots to devour their rotting flesh. He walked into the elevator and ascended directly. Zombie Reed was somewhat surprised by Doom's plans, watching as he arrived at the vacuum laboratory, used Amadeus's intern's pass to open the control panel, and lowered the glass door imprisoning Zombie Human Torch. As air rushed in, Zombie Human Torch smiled.

"Well, buddy, you're really thoughtful."

The rekindled Human Torch charged towards Doom: "I'll give you a quick death, old buddy!"

Doom's hands were enveloped in green magic. He then reached out and grabbed the zombie Human Torch by the neck. With his other hand, he opened a portal and carried the zombie Human Torch to the rooftop of the Baxter Building.

"Alright, Doom, what are you doing here? To turn the tide, or to prove you're stronger than me?"

Zombie Reed asked with a smile. He appeared to be making no move, but in fact, his back had become a single piece, wrapping around Doom from behind: "But you can't be completely without any gaps! I'll pry open your armor and eat your flesh!"

Doom simply stared coldly at the zombie Reed, while the zombie Human Torch in his hand grew even brighter. With a deafening explosion, everyone outside the Baxter Building was stunned. Tony, looking at the towering pillar of fire, exclaimed in astonishment, "What did he do?!"

Doom, unharmed, dropped the charred corpse of the zombie Thunderfire and the zombie Reed, who had melted into a puddle of liquid on the ground and was beyond dead. He then walked toward the zombie Susan, who had set up a protective field around herself. Despite her fear, Susan maintained a smile: "Don't kill me, Victor. You won't kill me, right?"

"...Indeed not."

Seeing Doctor Doom lower his hand, zombie Susan breathed a sigh of relief. She then immediately used her telekinesis to grab Doom's head and shouted, "You killed my husband!" She then crushed Doom's head flat. However, no blood splattered out; only some sparks of electricity appeared.

"Because I need a sample to locate your universe."

Doom appeared behind the zombie Susan, giving her no time to react. As the incantation was completed, countless plants burst forth from her body, piercing through her entire body and tearing the zombie Susan apart completely.

Doom snapped his fingers, burning all the zombie corpses, including the boulders on the lower floors, to ashes. He then walked to the main computer. Herbie came to his feet, but Doom ignored him, quickly locating the universe where the Fantastic Four had been replaced based on the resonant frequencies emanating from the zombies. He then looked towards the bridge connecting the multiverses.

It's unusable. There are some parameters inside that even Doom couldn't crack in a short time. Rather, it's already strange that Reed Richards was able to develop a multiverse travel device. Doom also tried it, and even if the theory is correct, the space rift would not be able to be torn open due to the overly solid barriers of reality.

How exactly did Reed manage to overcome the problem that even Doom couldn't solve?

Doom looked at Spider-Man's information on the screen, opened the next portal, and arrived at the bottom of the Baxter Building. "Wait, you mean Reed and the others are still alive?" Tony suddenly realized. "But they went to another universe? A zombie universe?"

If that's the case, then perhaps only Peter can go.

“No, the Avengers will figure something out. We’ll send enough Ultron robots into that multiverse.” Tony stated his thoughts bluntly: “I don’t trust you.”

“The Destroyer Robot is a hundred times better than Hank Pym’s toys, Stark.”

As Doom said this, he looked at Peter, who paused for a moment before taking out his phone: "Then, shall I make a call first?"
