Chapter 255 Kang, the Target
Chapter 255 Kang, the Target
Kang the Conqueror possesses the Time Stone, one of the Infinity Stones. Even though the Time Stone can only be used by Kang himself within the pocket universe of the Soul Stone, it still has many uses. For example, he can create countless versions of himself at different times, creating enough time remnants, and then use the numerical advantage to eliminate these superheroes. After all, Kang's numbers are endless, while the heroes' stamina will eventually run out.
Although it's embarrassing, it's practical.
Of course, Conqueror Kang didn't just rely on a wave of kills to rush in. He hid and waited for the enemy to come to him. Anyway, as long as the original Conqueror Kang, who held the Time Stone, didn't die, there would be as many Kangs as there were to come.
So, when Peter and his team advanced to the area where Mar-Vell had discovered the Kang through the monitors, it appeared to be just one ordinary Kang attempting to infiltrate the Kree space station using its advanced technology. But in reality, countless Kangs lurked in the shadows. Facing the Kang before him, Reed sternly questioned, "Kang the Conqueror, your plan has already…"
Before he could finish speaking, a rocket launcher blasted Kang to smithereens, then he looked up at the astonished crowd and shrugged indifferently: "What's wrong? Do you have anything else you want to ask him?"
"Actually, if you have any questions for me, I'm always here."
Conqueror Kang gave a disdainful laugh that seemed to have no audacity, and appeared there abruptly. Behind him were one Conqueror Kang after another, an almost endless army of Kang marching towards them. Everyone was stunned for a moment, and then Thunderbolt raised his hand.
The flames instantly engulfed the entire area, but Conqueror Kang was completely unharmed. The flames had no effect on him whatsoever. Just as Kang was about to open his mouth to boast about his advanced 31st-century armor, he saw the Thunderfire transform into a giant fireball and rush into Kang, instantly annihilating almost all of Kang with a single explosion.
"There's nothing that high temperatures can't solve; if there is, it just means it's not burning hot enough."
Johnny Storm tossed his hair with a flourish, only to be met with his older sister's furious roar: "Johnny! You blew a hole in the space station!"
The flames on Human Torch were swept away along with the air inside the space station, and he was about to be swept away as well. Adam was about to lead everyone out when he saw Mar-Vell fly over and use his magic bracelet to conjure a spray to seal the gap. Kovac followed behind him. Then he woke up and caused the entire Pocket Universe to disappear.
"Thanks, buddy, although... why don't you just let your pocket universe collapse? That would be easier for us."
Johnny, whose anger had reignited, shrugged helplessly. Mar-Vell's answer was simple and direct: "Work habits."
“Alright, guys.” Peter looked at the empty pocket universes around him and the Conqueror Kang scattered all over the ground, and sighed helplessly: “The good news is that only one Conqueror Kang has the Time Stone. The bad news is that there are countless Conqueror Kang here.”
The worse news was that each of them was armed with a weapon capable of taking down Kovac.
Kovac glanced around, seemingly understanding something, and vanished instantly. Countless rays of Kang's energy struck the air, and Peter casually asked, "Where did Kovac go?"
"Colonel Carol's pocket universe, that's the only one left."
"So... there's no one else here except us and Kang?" Peter clenched his fist, then smiled. "Well then, everyone, get ready for a big battle. We'll take care of every Kang we see!"

Kovacs arrived at the only surviving Pocket Universe, Carol Danvers' Pocket Universe. In a way, it was the most special because only Carol and Gwen were completely ordinary people. Gwen, because of Venom's protection, could not be brought into her own Pocket Universe, so the Pocket Universe had to create a fake Gwen.
So, what is life really like for ordinary people? Kovacs curiously peered into the shadows and discovered that many people in the Pocket Universe were pursuing an ordinary life where they didn't need power. The Thing was like that, Star-Lord was like that, and so were Raccoon, Gamora, Drax, and Marville.
Even because of the people around Gwen, her thinking is not entirely that of an ordinary person.
So what are ordinary people really like?
Kovacs became curious and began to spy on Carol's life. He erased his own existence, just like the conqueror Kang, and stood silently to the side, sorting out his chaotic thoughts while observing Carol's ideal life.
Carol Danvers, an ordinary person, an ordinary person with dreams, whose greatest wish in life was to be a pilot, preferably a pilot who could fly fighter jets that could break through the atmosphere. Her perfect world naturally inherited this, and her husband, Professor Michael Rossi, helped the military achieve this goal by developing a new generation of hypersonic fighter jets.
"Shh, keep your voice down, she's asleep."
They had a daughter, Kovac thought, which was part of Carol's wish, but it seemed to go beyond that. She and her husband started discussing all sorts of trivial matters, such as which amusement park to take the child to, how to celebrate their wedding anniversary, and what had happened to one of their relatives.
Kovacs floated in the air, standing silently. He had witnessed too many heroes in the world, and this was one of them…
There's no difference.
"They are all the same."
Kovac muttered to himself, drawing his own conclusion: heroes and ordinary people, scientists and the ignorant, are actually no different. Their souls are neither noble nor base. They still experience joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness, perhaps to varying degrees, but emotionally, they are no different.
But Kang the Conqueror believed himself to be different.
He considered himself superior and unique. Kovacs thought of his past, which was the future of this world, one possibility.
He saw Kang the Conqueror, who opened a spatial rift to another universe, saw that rift be imprisoned, and saw himself born. Then, Kang the Conqueror raised the incomplete Cosmic Cube, whose personality had not yet been born, and let out his shout.
"The Kang Dynasty has arrived."
"No! No! No!"
Carol's perfect world was instantly overwhelmed by the violent energy that annihilated the Cosmic Cube.
