Chapter 252 Genius on the Left, Fool on the Right

Meanwhile, Cindy and Gwen, along with the rest of the Fantastic Four, arrived in the world that Reed Richards' soul longed for. But this time, the sights of the world were almost entirely unexpected.

There was nothing here except Reed Richards, staring blankly in the pure white space.

"I have to say, although I've always thought Reed wasn't quite right in the head, I never imagined he could be this way."

Johnny was giving a scathing critique of his brother-in-law when his sister rolled her eyes at him. Susan stepped forward and looked at her husband: "Are you alright, Reed?"

"Who are you, oh, Susan? I'm sorry... I'm... I've discovered that I've forgotten all my knowledge."

Reed said something that shocked everyone. The Human Torch looked at him in disbelief: "Reed Richards' ideal is to be a fool?"

"No, my ideal is an eternal thirst for knowledge and curiosity, and the satisfaction of acquiring knowledge."

Another Reed Richards appeared in the pure white space and, while everyone was confused, told them the truth: "Simply put, he is responsible for perpetual curiosity and thirst for knowledge, and I am responsible for satisfaction. All the knowledge he acquires will remain with me, while I will not be aware of my own ignorance and confusion, but will only experience satisfaction from the knowledge. So every time he calculates that one plus one equals two, he will be very satisfied because he has long forgotten about it, and so will I."

After a moment of silence, Gwen and Cindy exchanged a glance. They never expected that Reed Richards would be such a genius. In order to simultaneously obtain the satisfaction of possessing knowledge and the curiosity of craving knowledge, he actually split himself in two, with each half responsible for different things.

"How do we wake him up?"

The Stone Man asked the first question, and after thinking for a moment, Gwen tentatively inquired, "Dr. Richards, do you know where you are right now?"

"Oh, that's a good question."

Ignorant Reed smiled broadly, while Omniscient Reed quickly gave his answer: "A soul world constructed according to human desires. This conclusion is based on my current state. I have not undergone any surgery on my brain, so this power comes from the outside. At the same time, the surrounding space indicates that this is an independent pocket universe—it should be inside the Soul Stone."

"I don't even understand how he came to that conclusion."

Gwen shrugged and complained, while Reed was still analyzing why he had come to this world. He had figured out that the warlock Adam had taken everyone in at the moment of the explosion and used these soul worlds to create a personality for Kovac.

Cindy interrupted Reed's rambling.

"Dr. Richards, Peter and Conqueror Kang have been transported to a future node in his mental universe. How do we find him?"

“Since you have come to me for help, it means that this matter is beyond Adam’s ability. He cannot directly undo each person’s pocket universe.”

Reed smiled and was about to launch into a long explanation when Cindy added somewhat sheepishly, "I'm sorry, we didn't ask him... we just thought of asking you to handle this issue."

In an instant, Reed's pocket universe collapsed.

"You didn't ask? How could something as rigorous as science be 'not asked'?! Do you know how important it is for the entire experiment when a constant becomes a variable?!"

On the verge of collapse, Reed Richards sensed ignorance from the omniscience—not the ignorance of knowing nothing, but a stupid ignorance. Even the Human Torch exclaimed, "Wow, it seems even the omniscient Reed has things he can't understand, like how humans can be so ignorant." "I...sorry. What was your question again?"

“If you’re talking about directly dismantling Spider-Man’s mind universe, I can’t do that right now.” Adam walked over and told Reed the answer he needed: “The Cosmic Cube’s energy is contained within the Soul Stone, and I can’t fully access the Soul Stone’s power.”

“Ha, that makes the answer quite simple.” Reed stroked his chin. “We just need to reunite the consciousness and energy of the Cosmic Cube. This power is strong enough to alter reality and break through the barriers of time. Theoretically, the concept of time shouldn’t exist in this world. It was the Time Stone in Kang’s possession that created the concept of time. So, if we summon a self-aware Kovak from Spider-Man’s psychic universe, he should be able to take us to that created point in time.”

So what are you waiting for?

Gwen was excited and wanted to take everyone with her, but then she found that a fight had broken out on the other side. Star-Lord, who had already brought Rocket, Groot, and Mandis, was arguing with Rocket, and the argument was quite unpleasant.

"You're just meddling in other people's business. I already knew I was dreaming, so there's no need for you to come and save me."

"Oh, really? Who was wailing and howling like that when they realized their friend was about to disappear after they woke up?"

"Shut up, Quill. The day you die, I'll inherit your ship, put your ashes behind the engine, and laugh out loud."

"Completely the opposite, Rocket, when you die I will wail and smear my snot and tears on your tombstone."

The two men walked over, still hurling insults at each other. It was impossible to tell whether they were on good terms or bad, but in any case, everyone was present except for Mar-Vell and Carol. Since no one really knew these two, Adam suggested that their presence was sufficient, since Reed Richards had already found the way to travel through time.

“I’m out. Let me out, Adam,” Rocket complained. “Quill is a stupid [beep], he wants to be a hero and brings everyone to the bomb. I don’t want to get blown up.”

The tall tree-man placed his fingers on the rocket's shoulder.

"I'm Groot."

"Am I wrong? Is this the damn team we wanted? Saving others, what did we get in return? To send ourselves to our deaths?"

"Go save the next Rocket." Drax's words left Rocket speechless. He turned to look at the big, goofy guy: "What did you say?"

"If the Guardians of the Galaxy had been formed much earlier, you and your friends would have been saved, Rocket."

Rocket stared blankly at Drax, while Star-Lord put on his mask: "Yeah, so we're going to save the world again, once more."

"Want to go die together, Rocket?"

There's someone who's been overlooked; has anyone noticed?

The Mantis is here, so I've filled in the gaps.
