Chapter 244 Let them see what the charlatan De is all about!

Hey, little spider!

Johnny was incredibly enthusiastic, giving Peter a hug the moment they met. Perhaps because Mysterio had almost burned him to death, Johnny was always very friendly towards him. Peter didn't mind; aside from being a bit simple-minded, Johnny had no other flaws.

I don't like him.

It would be strange if a symbiote like you could like a humanoid walking torch.

"Excuse me, Johnny, could you get Spider-Man over here for a second? I need some scientifically savvy people to help me, thanks."

Reed's words made Johnny shrug with an annoyed expression, while Mar-Vell, who heard the remark, leaned over with interest: "Excuse me, I'm a scientist, so maybe I can help."

"Oh, I've heard of it. Welcome, welcome. I'd also like to learn about the technological level of the Interstellar Empire."

Reed laughed, completely unconcerned that Mar-Vell was actually an alien spy. Of course, Mar-Vell wasn't really an alien spy. The reason he was tasked with contacting the Inhumans—a mission the Kree Empire thought was mostly hopeless—was simply to slack off at work. On Earth, that was leisurely slacking off time. As long as he couldn't confirm that the Inhumans no longer existed, he could continue to stay, posing as an Earth scientist, helping them with things like elementary school homework.

As soon as Thor landed with Kovac, the scanning device on the Fantastic Four's flying car scanned Kovac. Reed, without any sense of distance, stuck his head (only his head) in front of Kovac, carefully observed him, and then looked back at the reading report.

"Hmph... He is an entity made entirely of pure energy. What we are seeing now is just a solidification of energy in reality, which is very interesting. This energy is constantly dissipating and constantly transforming."

“The Kree Empire once tried to study the energy source of the Cosmic Cube, but to no avail,” Mar-Vell said, operating the projected control panel. He didn’t think Reed Richards could find anything out, but after looking at the reports for a while, Reed Richards said matter-of-factly, “There is no energy source.”

"No...no energy source? Then where does the energy in his body come from?"

"From the multiverse, no, that's not right either. The vibrational frequency on his body indicates that he does indeed belong to our universe. However, because he is pure energy, he has already become part of the physical laws of our universe when he entered this universe. He is very intelligent."

Reed Richards adjusted his glasses and spoke in a way that was almost incomprehensible to those around him. As he spoke, he pulled up the data he had collected when he was invited by S.H.I.E.L.D. to investigate the Tesseract: "I once studied the Tesseract and the Cosmic Cube and found that they were somewhat similar. Now it seems that its human form and the essence of the Tesseract are the same. They are both containers, containments, and their essence is to protect what is inside."

"The Cosmic Cube was originally a cube."

“I think Dr. Richards means that the Cosmic Cube, whether it’s Kovac’s current body or its cube-like form, is just an outer shell, a containment.” Peter picked up where Reed left off, and then asked Mar-Vell, “I guess someone in the Kree Empire tried to replicate the Cosmic Cube, but failed, right?”

Mar-Vell didn't say anything, but the result was clear: the Kree Empire had indeed tried to create its own Cosmic Cube, but failed.

"When the Cosmic Cube is activated and outputs energy, the surrounding dark matter changes. This indicates that the Cosmic Cube, or rather the Infinity Stones, are essentially still drawing upon the energy of our own universe. While they are powerful and mysterious, from an energy perspective, they are still matter from our own universe. This is why the Infinity Stones emit gamma rays; they are undergoing decay." The Cosmic Cube, however, does not emit radioactive material or show any changes in dark matter. This means that the power of the Infinity Stones originates from within the universe, while the power of the Cosmic Cube originates from outside the universe.

“Perhaps we need your abilities, Spider-Man. We need you to tear open a rift in the multiverse to see where this power comes from. The best place to do this is at Baxter Tower.” Reed stroked his chin, deep in thought, then suddenly remembered something: “Maybe that’s it…”

"Doctor, what?"

Peter looked at Reed, who quickly performed calculations on the control panel and then called out to Kovac, "Mr. Kovac? Come on over for a bit?"

Everyone:? ? ?
"Take a few steps, thank you."

Kovacs took a couple of steps in confusion, and Reed smiled and enlarged the projected data: "It's confirmed that when Kovacs moved, the Einstein-Rosen bridge effect actually occurred, and the surrounding gravitational constant changed, but it was subsequently corrected by itself."

Reed smiled and presented his results: "The so-called Cosmic Cube is actually a wormhole, a spatial rift, protected by some kind of container. Energy from that universe is constantly leaking out and overflowing. This energy is so powerful that it can alter reality."

"That's why it's very simple to get Kovacs home—he can go back directly by himself; he himself is a spatial rift."

Everyone looked at Kovac again, who nervously shook his head: "No, no, no, I can't do it. I've tried, I can't do it!"

“According to the records of the Kree Empire, Kovac’s personality is not complete at present. We first need to help him build a complete personality so that he can go back on his own.” Mar-Vell was surprised by Reed’s ability, but he had already said how to get Kovac back.

The problem now is how to build a complete personality for him.

In the distance, to avoid being discovered by Spider-Man and Kovak, Kang the Conqueror observed everything with a drone. He heard about the nature of the Cosmic Cube from Reed Richards, and thus devised a plan, quickly returning to his Empire.

“Take out all the reports on space theory from the 21st century onwards and study how to repair the cracks in the universe.”

Kang returned to his throne and gave orders to his subordinates. This might take months or even years to study, but that didn't matter.

He is Kang the Conqueror. While Spider-Man and the others have a second left, he has endless time to accomplish all of this.
