Chapter 231 Guardians of the Galaxy
Chapter 231 Guardians of the Galaxy
"I always thought the detective agency only had six of us."
The first week of November, or more accurately, half a week, is a holiday.
Because the symbiote invasion has caused chaos throughout Manhattan, all schools in Manhattan have announced closures until next Monday, the 5th, meaning Peter can have two more days off.
It was at this moment that he received a text message from his senior, Jessica, informing him that the detective club would be holding a team-building activity in Puerto Rico—because all members of the detective club had successfully passed the science competition group's quiz.
Peter genuinely believed the school's detective club was about to close down. In reality, the club only had six members—the president, Jessica; the vice-president, Felicia; and four first-year students. Those "lurkers" in the social media groups were just upperclassmen using multiple accounts to show off their large followings.
As a result, everyone came out in droves; more than sixty people showed up.
Peter scratched his head. The scale of this visit seemed to be much larger than he had expected. The detective agency alone had more than sixty people, not to mention the other students. Midtown High School truly lived up to its reputation as a top high school that could cooperate with Osborn Technology and Stark Industries. As an American public high school, it was amazing that it could find so many outstanding talents.
After thinking for a moment, Peter sat down at his desk—he had no reason to write in his diary, but he did need to make a list and deal with everything on it. Today was the 2nd, and he wanted to get as many things done as possible before the 11th.
“Let’s take a look. First, there’s Doctor Octopus. He actually escaped, I wonder if we can catch him… Then, I need to go to Raft Prison to see some old friends, and there’s the USB drive Felicia sent. I need to go to the lab to find out what happened. Katie is joining Xavier’s College, and Cyclops wants me to check on things too. And then there’s Baxter Building…”
Oh, one more thing.
Taking advantage of the fact that nothing major is happening these few days, he needs to go to Osborn Industries and meet with Dr. Kurt Connors.

Right now, in the Milky Way, something far from pleasant is happening.
With a terrifying tremor, a towering wave erupted from the surface of a planet, shooting straight into the sky. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that the wave was not water, but rather surging magma.
It is magma that splashes directly from beneath the planet's surface during battle.
The man, carrying two energy guns, ran to the side of his spaceship, immediately opened the rear hatch, and beckoned his companions to rush over and hide inside.
"Hurry up! Groot, what are you dawdling for!"
This man was none other than the legendary Star-Lord, the unknown Earthling Peter Quill. Leading the charge was Rocket Raccoon, the modified raccoon who always had "Bomb, sell, and run" on his lips. Then came his mischievous child, Groot, the tree-like creature of the Flora Colossus. The green-skinned woman who rushed in quickly was Gamora, the adopted daughter of the infamous Mad Titan Thanos. Following behind was Mantis, who had two small tentacles on her head and could sense emotions through touch.
Finally, there was a man with grayish-green skin and many red scars on his body, standing at the cabin door, watching the ever-rising waves of lava.
Star-Lord is about to break down.
"Drax?! What are you doing?!"
"The warlock has not returned yet."
"Oh my god!" Star-Lord quickly pulled Drax onto the ship, shouting towards the cockpit as he yanked him along, "Rocket! Start the engines!"
"We've been doing it for a while now."
As the giant raccoon spoke, he pushed the engines to maximum thrust, and in an instant, the spaceship broke through the planet's atmosphere and raced towards the stars. Superheroes exist not only on Earth but also in the vast universe. While the Avengers protect Earth, a team of heroes called the Guardians of the Galaxy are also protecting the galaxy.
They collect money.
As the planet's surface tore apart, the entire planet began to disintegrate, breaking into fragments. Amidst the silence and shock of the entire Guardians of the Galaxy, they saw a man shimmering with blue light fly out from the shattered planet, seemingly drifting away from their ship before heading off to some unknown destination.
“On the bright side, at least the Kree paid the fine for our ship,” Rocket said from the cockpit. Peter Quill walked helplessly to the gunner’s seat and sat down listlessly. Then, with a “bang,” a blond man with an orange gem embedded in his forehead crashed into the windshield of their ship, startling Star-Lord.
"Um, does this wrecked ship have windshield wipers, Quill?"
"No, I'll go bring that guy in. Oh, Gamora is already in her protective suit. Get the airtight chamber ready."
As Gamora led their last teammate onto the spaceship, everyone gathered around him, staring at him. Drax said with slight surprise, "Our warlock is still alive."
"He has the Infinity Stone embedded in his forehead, an artifact that even Thanos coveted."
“But he survived the planetary explosion,” Drax added again. Gamora ignored the brute. Star-Lord stared at the warlock, then looked at Mantis: “Mantis? Wake him up.”
"what!"
Before Mantis could make a move, the warlock awoke with a start, sitting up abruptly and startling everyone. But once awake, the warlock weakly grabbed Star-Lord: "Peter, I... I couldn't stop that person."
“You did your best, Adam. Get up.” Star-Lord helped Adam up, but found that the guy was still holding on to him. Adam grabbed Star-Lord and begged to get up.
“We must stop him, Quill, you must stop him, he will destroy planet after planet.”
"Stop a bastard who can blow up the whole planet?"
Rocket Raccoon muttered, "Forget it. Let's not even talk about whether anyone is willing to pay us this money. Even if we get it, we'll have to be alive to spend it."
The Guardians of the Galaxy are a heroic organization—only Adam Warlock truly believes so.
We have to do this!
Adam's roar startled everyone, and Star-Lord quickly reassured them: "I understand, Adam. We didn't say we weren't going, but we don't know who that guy is, what he wants to do, where he's going, or where we're going to stop him."
“I know.” Adam stared at Star-Lord. “When I touched him, I understood who he was and where he was going.”
“His name is Michael Kovac. He’s going to your hometown, Quil. He’s going to Earth.”
