Chapter 228 Kang the Monitor
The distorted state of Venom lasted less than three minutes before it ended. Venom patted its chest in disbelief, looked at the red spider symbol with a hint of disgust, and then turned it back to white. Strange was about to ask a question when Thor spoke up first.

"Is it all over?"

“Oh, wait a minute, Peter refused to become the Symbiote God, extinguishing Nar’s consciousness. Nar can’t be resurrected now unless I or Peter die.” Venom said, retracting his wings and then revealing his new ability—after consuming Grendel’s Codex, he gained the ability to shapeshift, to grow huge wings from his back, to turn into a puddle of liquid and move rapidly, and to transform his arms into various weapons like Riot. Finally, he could also provide Peter with some combat power.

Venom, delighted, immediately displayed his talents, burrowing into the wall and creating a nearly invisible pool of black liquid on the ground. He then quickly moved through the substance, passing through to the other side of the wall, before finally "seeping" out of it with a joyful shout. Seeing Strange and Thor staring at him, he quickly switched Peter back into his new suit.

"Sorry, guys, it's getting a little excited. But it should all be over by now."

Just as Peter had said, the symbiotes all turned a grayish-white color and quickly transformed from a viscous liquid into a solid state, then turned to ash and drifted away in the wind. All the superheroes, including Captain America, looked very confused, but after seeing a few superheroes standing there chatting, they understood something.

The crisis is over.

From the evening of October 31st until noon the following day, the symbiote frenzy triggered by Knull finally ended. The Avengers once again protected Earth, as always. They would choose to simply clean up the battlefield, tidy themselves up, and then return to their work for the next day. Most of the forces that had been watching this crisis would also shift their attention away with the crisis subsiding.

There are only a few exceptions.

"Rewind the timeline to 201211010637." A man wearing purple armor made of some unknown material sat on his throne on his warship and quietly entered a laboratory. This was Dr. Octopus Otto's laboratory, where he was studying new symbiote samples. These symbiote samples, entirely created by Nar, obeying only Nar, and lacking any independent consciousness, attracted Otto's attention.

Spider-Man is becoming increasingly powerful, and to avoid being bothered by the despicable spiders while seeking revenge on Osborn, he must also enhance his abilities. And if he could completely control these symbiotes like Knuckle, that would certainly be one way.

Dr. Octopus was engrossed in his research, but Kang, standing beside him, had no intention of waiting for him. A progress bar appeared in front of him, and Kang dragged the timeline. The surrounding environment began to change rapidly, demonstrating how, when the symbiote was about to turn to dust, Dr. Octopus, in a panic, touched the symbiote sample and then merged with the symbiote.

His enhanced nervous system, honed by the surgery, actually established a connection with the symbiote to some extent while Nar's consciousness was sealed. A symbiote suit, unique to Otto Octavia and devoid of independent consciousness, was born, enabling him to stand up again.

However, this is not the person Kang is looking for.

"Rewind the timeline to 201211010911."

Rewinding the timeline, Kang sees the Defenders protecting a man named Martin Lee, whose abilities allow him to kill symbiote minions while freeing those trapped inside. The Defenders believe this man is key to defeating the symbiotes and want to protect them on their way to the Sanctum Sanctorum.

This person, like Doctor Octopus before him, was also closely associated with Spider-Man, but again, it wasn't him; his timeline was remarkably stable. Kang then switched targets, continuing to browse the next possible one. He jumped to around 4 AM, when most of the gangsters were under the control of the symbiote, their hideout was empty, and a skilled rogue had broken into the Tombstone gang's finance office, finding evidence of their illegal drug dealing—a thief known as Black Cat had been committing similar thefts throughout the entire event.

But it wasn't her either.

Kang remained silent for a moment, then returned to his throne and sat down.

"Great Kang. You've lingered long enough at this point; have you found the person you need?"

His underlings came to report the situation: the Great Conqueror Kang conquered Earth in the distant 31st century, becoming the greatest emperor in the universe, and then traveled to various eras, merging himself into history. The Conqueror Kang can be considered the most powerful and greatest time traveler; he is the only time traveler who can alter history without creating new timelines.

But recently, he has been leading his most elite troops on repeated trips across the Earth after 2012, seemingly searching for something.

"No, Spider-Man is not the one who caused the multiverse collision crisis, at least not yet. Although he was born three years earlier, in terms of his impact on the timeline, he is not as significant as Steve Rogers."

Kang sat on the throne, flipped his hand and took out the Time Stone, looking at the scene of the Battle of New York projected into it: "I have investigated the two anomalous time points of Captain America and Spider-Man, but their energy spectra do not match the time distortion that occurred in 2015."

In 2015, a terrible catastrophe occurred on Earth 616, disrupting and tearing apart the continuity of timelines. This destabilized the spacetime structure of the entire multiverse, triggering a multiverse-level collision crisis. Even more terrifyingly, due to the tearing of spacetime, no time traveler could enter the world throughout 2015.

If this cannot be stopped, then in the future, Earths in different multiverses will collide with each other, triggering the destruction of one universe after another. As an emperor, Kang will not tolerate this; he uses the Time Stone to prevent it from happening and protect his empire from the crisis of multiverse collision.

Where will the next time anomaly occur?

"November 13, 2012, the great Kang."

Kang leaned back in his chair and squinted.

"ready to go."
