Chapter 223 Symbiote Frenzy - The World's Strongest Hero

If you were to ask any Earthling who the world’s most powerful hero is, they would only be able to give two answers: either Thor or the Hulk.

Unfortunately, these two have never actually faced off, and they probably don't even know who is superior. But now, Knull has helped humanity realize this dream, and the Hulk, corrupted by the symbiote, has launched a relentless attack on Thor.

"Enough, Hulk!"

Seeing Hulk roaring and charging towards him, Thor smashed him away with his hammer, panting as he said, "I know this isn't what you wanted, Hulk. You're a hero, a powerful warrior, not a puppet or a toy!"

Thor shouted as he watched Hulk rise again from the rubble. Possessed by the symbiote, Hulk remained silent, only sticking out his tongue and revealing his sharp fangs. Nar's symbiote could maximize the destructive forces within a person, and Hulk, after all, was just a child capable of destruction.

Seeing Hulk charging towards him, Thor picked up his hammer, took a deep breath, and prepared to knock Hulk away again. However, this time, Hulk suddenly stopped in front of him, causing Thor's hammer to miss. Hulk then grabbed Thor's hair and roared before slamming Hulk heavily onto the floor, smashing Thor's helmet and hammer to the ground again and again.

Hulk then released his grip and began punching Thor repeatedly on the ground. With each blow, the ground caved in. After being relentlessly beaten, Thor unleashed lightning from his body, striking down and causing the symbiote Hulk to emit a burnt smell. Finally, Hulk seized the opportunity to punch Hulk, sending him flying, before rising back to his feet and raising his hammer.

"Stop, Hulk! If this continues, the entire city will be destroyed in our battle!"

“I think he probably can’t hear you right now, Saul.”

Peter landed, while Cindy followed behind with Katie on her back. Before Peter could even introduce himself, he heard Saul's concerned voice.

"Ah, Spider. Odin the Almighty says you are the key to defeating Nal. Step back, Hulk is not someone you can handle."

Peter looked Thor up and down with his eyes, then sighed helplessly at the brute: "I'm here to help. Actually, we've found a way that might be able to rescue Hulk, but we need your help."

"Please help, Spider. What do you need me to do?"

“I need your hammer, or more precisely, I need your hammer to bring a person with it.” Peter finished speaking and gestured to Saul to introduce Katie: “This is Katie Pride. She can pass through objects and bring out anyone or anything she touches.”

"So you need this mortal to bring Hulk out, but she's not powerful enough."

When it comes to fighting, Thor's intelligence is still on point. While unleashing lightning to attack Hulk and stop his advance, he hovered Mjolnir in mid-air and then looked at Katie: "Come on, little girl, hold Mjolnir. It will give you enough power to bring our friends back."

“Actually, just a few minutes ago I was just an ordinary person—an ordinary mutant, and now I’m about to save the world.” Katie took a deep breath, gripped Thor’s hammer in her left hand, and looked at the three superheroes.

Peter and Cindy's task was simple: temporarily restrain the Hulk and keep him still. Peter and Cindy immediately swung their webs and rushed over, while Thor, understanding their plan, charged at the Hulk with his bare hands and delivered a punch. "I never thought I'd see Thor without his hammer."

Even Cindy was surprised by what she saw. As she swung past from the side, the spider silk stuck to one of Hulk's hands, and then she swung behind Hulk and began to pull hard on his arm. Peter landed next to her, also holding a spider silk that was connected to Hulk's arm.

"Who can argue with that? But then again, Thor is the God of Thunder, not the God of Hammers."

As they talked, they pulled on the spider silk, temporarily separating Hulk's arms. Thor then landed several more punches, venting his anger at being repeatedly beaten by Hulk. However, Hulk's rage was uncontrollable; his strength increased, and he quickly tore through the silk with brute force, throwing another punch at Thor.

But Thor just gave a wicked smile and extended his hand.

Thor's hammer passed through Thor's body, carrying Katie into the Hulk's body, which was covered by the symbiote. Then, the hammerhead emerged from the other side of the Hulk's body. Thor seized the opportunity to grab the symbiote Hulk's fist, while simultaneously controlling the hammer to quickly leave the Hulk's body. As the hammer broke out of the dark symbiote, it flew out carrying Katie and the massive Hulk—after all, Katie couldn't move the Hulk.

Blinded and helpless, Hulk looked around and roared, scaring Katie into collapsing to the ground. But Hulk's attention wasn't on her; he looked at Thor, watching him summon lightning to completely destroy the symbiote.

"Welcome back, my friend Hulk."

Thor laughed as he picked up his helmet and put it on, but Hulk, unimpressed, walked up to Thor, stared at him for a while, and then complained rather resentfully, "You should have left that ugly monster for me, blonde."

"If you need to deal with monsters, believe me, there are still many monsters to deal with at Nar's place."

Peter shrugged, then looked at the rescued Hulk. He thought of War Machine, Rhodes, and Black Hawk; Katie should be able to rescue them too. Besides, as a mutant, it would be better for her to stay with the X-Men, who were conveniently located in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

So let's go to the Sanctuary first. Everything seems to be ready now, and we're just waiting for Tony and the others' signal.

So Peter and his companions returned to the Sanctuary in New York. As soon as they pushed open the doors, Katie didn't even have time to remark, "It's bigger inside than outside," before she saw a massive, sprawling symbiote, like a giant, menacing mass of slime, covering the entire sanctuary.
