Chapter 216 Symbiote Frenzy: Another Battle Against the Riot

Chapter 216 Symbiote Frenzy - The Second Battle Against the Riot

Spider-Man! Die!

Jonah Jameson, pointing the passenger-side camera at himself, asked Spider-Man with a bewildered look, "You even have a grudge against aliens?"

“I killed it at the dock last night—I think twice, but its alien god master resurrected it.”

Peter narrowed his eyes as he watched the approaching riots. Jameson said thoughtfully, "You seem to know a lot of things. Spider-Man, the Avengers, too?"

“You know? Yes, but I can’t tell you, Jonah. Not because I don’t want to, but to ensure the safety of ordinary people.”

"Damn it, tell me now! Spider-Man! I have the right, people have the right to know the truth!"

"Then you'll have to get the government to expose the truth about the human experiments conducted on the Hudson River first, Jonah. Otherwise, I can guarantee your live broadcast will be cut off immediately. You'd better think carefully about whether you want to report the truth now or hear the truth by yourself."

Spider-Man is threatening him, and Jonah Jameson clearly senses this, but the threat doesn't come from Spider-Man or the Avengers; it comes from their government. What are the US military and government covering up? Even Spider-Man's dialogue hints that this alien invasion is inextricably linked to the illegal human experiments the US military is conducting at the bottom of the Hudson River.

Actually... the connection isn't particularly strong, but it's not entirely unrelated either. The fact that Doctor Octopus was able to release them during the riots definitely indicates some responsibility on the part of the US military.

After a moment of silence, Jonathan suddenly roared at Spider-Man, "Spider-Man! Turn the camera around! Let everyone see something meaningful!"

"Alright, viewers, this is your friendly neighbor Spider-Man. As you can see, Jonah Jameson is doing a show with his least favorite guest—Escape from the Brink. I'm in charge of fighting monsters, and Jonah is in charge of driving until he's safe. So now—the game begins!"

Peter finished speaking at lightning speed, and Riot had already charged forward. However, he was struck by Peter's bioelectric shock. After a dazzling white lightning bolt, Riot was thrown to the ground, but he quickly got up and continued charging.

Riot currently has no host and is purely a symbiotic mimic, which means that the previous method used to deal with Riot is useless. Coupled with Riot's own strong resistance and exaggerated stats that can rival the current Spider-Man, this will be a difficult battle.

That's how it should be.

Riot strode forward, his running speed no less than Jonah's old car. Peter launched a web, ripping down a giant television from a roadside wall, which slammed into Riot. Riot immediately propped himself up from the wreckage and continued to pursue. Jameson saw this in the rearview mirror and couldn't help but exclaim, "My God, Spider-Man, do you have to cause this much destruction every time you fight?"

"No matter what, money is never as important as human life, Jonah!"

He grabbed an abandoned car from the roadside and smashed it against Riot's body. After an explosion, Riot continued to run wildly towards him. Peter took a deep breath. He was really unlucky to run into this guy. He was a stubborn bastard.

"Spider-Man, he's charging at us."

"Of course I know, Jonah!"

Seeing the riot about to charge, Peter drew his Dragon Fang Sword once more. The sharp magical weapon cleaved the riot in two without any blood splattering. The two symbiotes then began to merge, recover, and continue charging.

Jonah was stunned: "Is that a T-1000?!"

“Do you know where there’s a sulfuric acid pool that can deal with this stuff? If not…” Peter didn’t finish his sentence because several Ultron robots passing by blocked their way with their heat beams and sonic cannons. Peter paused for a moment, then squatted down on the back seat to rest, while telling Jameson, “Go to Avengers Tower, Jonah. The survivors who can’t evacuate are all there.” “I’m not going to desert, Spider-Man.”

"I didn't tell you to desert your post. On the contrary, the enemy is attacking Avengers Tower."

In the distance, in front of Avengers Tower, Human Torch and Living Lightning unleash flames at a massive black dragon. Goliath enlarges himself to resist the dragon's approach, while Iceman creates shackles to slow its advance. The others also attack, hindering the enemy's progress.

But all of this seemed to be in vain; the dragon continued to flap its wings, slowly approaching Avengers Tower.

An idea popped into Jonah Jameson's head.

Can the Avengers win?
Beyond the universe, there exist different dimensions, some of which have inhabitants, civilizations, or even nations.

For example, Asgard.

Asgard remained as magnificent as ever, and the inhabitants of the realm enjoyed a carefree and happy day, except for one person.

The black-haired goddess walked to the edge of the terrace, looked at Thor with his hand on the railing, and asked him a question.

“You…you seem to have been sullen the whole time, Thor.”

“I’m just worried about Midgard, Sif.” Thor still had a glass of mead in his hand, but he hadn’t touched it. “The turmoil in Midgard in the last few years has surpassed the sum of the past thousand years. I have a feeling that something terrible may happen in Midgard.”

"But you also said that Midgard has great warriors you can trust, didn't you?"

Sif didn't get to the point; what she really wanted to ask was, "Are you worried about Midgard, or about that mortal named Jane Foster?"
"Yes, the Avengers will protect Earth, but I constantly think about whether they need my help, but the Rainbow Bridge is still under repair..."

A few months ago, Thor brought Loki and the Space Stone back from Earth. Odin used his great power and the power of the Space Stone to begin repairing the Bifrost. Once the repair is complete, Asgard will be able to radiate its influence to the Nine Realms.

But Thor was getting impatient.

"Sol, brother."

A god clad in blue armor appeared behind them. He had long, golden hair like Thor, and Thor looked at him with slight surprise: "Baldr, what's wrong?"

"My father sent me to find you. The Rainbow Bridge has been repaired, but the Midgard is under attack. He has ordered you to rescue the Midgard, but you need to go to him first. My father has something to tell you."

Thor picked up the helmet from the railing, put it on, and reached out to summon his Mjolnir.

"I'll go right away."
