I'm working on Marvel's Spider-Man in American comics.

Chapter 187 First Collaboration with S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Guys, Spider-Man is going to be working with us for a while."

Coulson delivered some very exciting news to the bus team, which made the entire team excited. Peter had already met most of the team members, but Coulson still introduced them.

Captain Phil Coulson, a decorated S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, claims his resurrection on the S.H.I.E.L.D. carrier was due to the use of LMD, not anything else. Even Peter didn't hear about the "Tahiti" setting, which was quite important in the original Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series.

Grant Ward, a Level 7 agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., is considered one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s top agents in terms of fieldwork ability, second only to Black Widow and Hawkeye. However, he is likely a Hydra agent. Peter once hinted at this to Coulson. It is unknown whether Coulson and Fury received the hint. The investigation continues.

Pilot Melinda May, a former field agent, is now just an ordinary Airbus pilot, I guess.

Biologist Jenna Simmons and team member Leo Fitz formed the team's science group.

Finally, there's Skye, from an Inhuman race that Peter has never heard of before, whose real name is Daisy Johnson—she probably doesn't even know her own name now.

The arrival of an Avenger once again sent the team into a frenzy, but Coulson quickly stopped their celebration: "An alien symbiote has invaded the Tri-Fly Tower. Director Fury is extremely angry. We need Spider-Man's help to solve this problem. Simmons, you're in charge of researching the symbiote. Work with Fitz to see if you can figure out a way to detect it. Skye, you're in charge of monitoring the network and checking on the symbiote."

Then, Coulson saw his bewildered subordinates, and Skye was the first to raise her question: "Sorry, but what is a symbiote?"

“Oh, wait a minute, let me get him out here.” Peter gestured for Coulson and Cindy to stand further away, then let Venom take control and transform into a Hulk-like bio-monster. Venom grinned and said “hello” to the startled group of people before explaining, “Alien creatures that look like me, oh, they usually eat brains.”

"???"

Then they saw the giant symbiote transform back into a normal-sized Spider-Man.

"Sorry, uh, it doesn't talk very well. It's a gelatinous alien creature that can live in symbiosis with animals, and it's incredibly powerful. Their only energy source is phenylethylamine, so these symbiotes prey on human brains. Just look for reports of headless corpses."

“Phenylethylamine?” Simmons expressed his confusion: “Then why not eat chocolate?”

“Because they’re bad guys and Venom is good?” Peter said, hooking a test tube with his web and holding it in his hand. He then let part of Venom stick out so Simmons could cut it off with surgical scissors and hand it to him. “In short, these guys are very dangerous. You need to be careful.”

“Okay…” Skye raised an eyebrow after watching Simmons take the test tube away. “I’m going to sit in front of the computer now…”

"Sir?" Ward looked at Coulson curiously after seeing everyone busy at work. "What should I do?"

"If you have time, teach the two Spider-Men some fighting techniques." On the other side, after rolling into the sewer, Whiplash was hit by a sonic arrow thrown by Spider-Man, losing his basic mobility. He had no choice but to follow the sewer's current into the river, where he found a fish, attached himself to it, and began to move quickly.

He was searching for his way back, but because he had lost his highly intelligent host, and under the influence of the fish's memory, his own mind became unstable, and his memory became somewhat distorted. He followed the scent in his memory and came to the vicinity of a human settlement. Then he broke away from the fish and slowly climbed ashore. The small green symbiote re-entered the sewer system and then silently searched for its kind.

He needs a powerful host, someone who can rival Venom's host, otherwise he cannot defeat that damned traitor.

At this moment, Adrian Tooms arrived at AIM's headquarters in Washington, D.C., and toured AIM's core facilities under the guidance of President and Creative Director Killian.

"Not only are we working on powerful robots like the Super Adaptor, but we've also contracted with the military for the Super Soldier Serum Restoration Project. To be honest, almost all military industrial companies are researching this."

Adrian asked with some curiosity, "Does everyone have any ideas?"

"No, but you can get a lot of research funding."

Adrian nodded and followed Killian to the super-adaptor's repair facility. The robot, painted blue and seemingly printed with the American flag, was made of a special liquid metal. The repair process was very complicated, and Adrian could only understand a part of it. He watched from the window for a while before leaving.

After a day of observation, he was basically able to confirm that AIM was a large and financially powerful company that was highly regarded by the U.S. military. More importantly, the other party was willing to directly fund his previous project in New York, or more precisely, the anti-gravity device in his bionic wings.

There's only one small problem.

"I have signed an agreement with Osborne Technologies regarding the patent issues of the anti-gravity system."

“Oh, that’s not a problem. We’ve looked into the relevant patent issues. The agreement between Osborn Technologies and you is simply that both parties acknowledge that there is no plagiarism in their anti-gravity technology, that they are two different anti-gravity systems, and that there is no conflict between them and you developing and upgrading your own system based on your own equipment.” Killian smiled. “Are you satisfied with our company now, Mr. Adrian?”

“Oh, okay, thank you. I’m very satisfied.” Adrian rubbed his bald head. “Can…can we sign the contract now?”

“Of course, Mr. Adrian.”

After signing the contract with AIM, Adrian took a deep breath, looking somewhat surreal at the unfamiliar Washington before him. The most important thing now was to buy a plane ticket home and tell Liz the good news. In his excitement, he didn't see the manhole cover under his feet, tripped over it, and almost fell to the ground.

Adrian quickly shook his head, picked up his bag, and prepared to call a taxi to the airport. He didn't notice that a pool of green, viscous substance had already clung to the heel of his leather boot.
