Chapter 169 I have a plan!

The next day, just after lunch, Peter and Harry were about to find a place to rest when Harry suddenly said something to Peter that sent a chill down his spine.

"Peter, I have an idea."

In this era before Red Dead Redemption 2 was released, no one except Peter could understand the terrifying impact of Harry's words. Seeing Peter shudder, Harry asked, quite confused, "What's wrong, buddy? You don't look too good?"

"I'm fine, except that I think you're going to come up with a really bad idea."

“How could that be?” Harry was clearly displeased upon hearing this. “I think it’s a brilliant idea. How about we suggest that Senior Jessica launch another investigation by the Detective Agency at Kravinoff Manor?”

"This is probably the worst idea I've ever heard."

Peter was silent for two minutes, then looked at Harry: "Are you serious? If it were like before, with Clay... Kravnikov not in New York, it might be safer. But he's in New York now, and he might even be living there! What if he finds out about us?"

Harry looked confused. "Don't joke around. We're just a bunch of students going on an adventure. What could possibly happen?"

"That's how things usually happen in horror movies." "There are no superheroes in horror movies."

Harry looked at Peter nervously. With Spider-Man around, what was there to worry about? Could Kraven be stronger than Spider-Man? And just like Harry said, almost every year people would go to the vicinity of Kravinoff Manor for fun and adventure, but no one ever got into trouble.

Peter really wanted to argue, but unfortunately, sometimes there are unavoidable circumstances. An unexpected voice interrupted their conversation, curiously asking, "What are you guys talking about, boys?"

Unfortunately, the person who spoke was not the one who could defuse the situation. It was Felicia who spoke, curiously intervening in the conversation between the two. Harry immediately began to promote his plan: "I just suddenly realized that we haven't been to Kravinoff Manor yet, so I was wondering if the club could go again?"

"Unfortunately, most of the members of the detective agency have been there. Apart from the four new members in your year, no one has not been there yet. It's a bit unrealistic to ask the agency to organize another event."

Peter was about to agree with Harry and persuade him to give up, but Felicia added, "However, if you really want to go, I can take you to see the surrounding area. You can just arrange a time!"

"Okay! Thank you, senior. I'll go ask Amadeus now. Oh, senior, don't listen to Peter. He thinks it's a horror movie set."

After hearing this, Felicia looked at Peter with some curiosity: "Spider-Man is worried about horror movie sets?"

"...Yeah, what if it's Final Destination? Spider-Man couldn't handle that." After making up a couple of things, Peter asked, "What exactly do you want?"

"Find out what you're trying to hide. If you're planning to stop your friends from doing something, then your friends are in danger—doesn't that mean there's a lot of interesting stuff out there?"

The two walked and talked, while also keeping an eye on whether the classmates next to them were standing too close. Peter chuckled when he heard this, and then helplessly reminded her, "Be careful, curiosity killed the cat, senior."

“If you’re really worried that curiosity will kill the cat, maybe you can try satisfying its curiosity.” Felicia smiled. “Believe me, anyone who owns a cat knows that the way to keep a cat from being naughty is to exhaust it first.”

Peter watched Felicia leave, unsure whether her last words were unintentional or deliberately meant to mislead.

"What do you think?"

Peter seemed to be talking to himself, but he was actually asking Venom a question. However, he knew it was pointless to ask, because Venom didn't really understand the complexities of human social interactions, even though he observed them every day.

No problem, because no one can beat us.

"Hulk or Thor would be unhappy." [We've taken down a Hulk before.]

A Hulk from a parallel universe isn't nearly as powerful as the one in the main universe. Peter sighed, but he hadn't expected Venom to actually offer such valuable advice.

If there is any real danger, it's best to clean it up beforehand.

Yes, since Harry's actions are to be disguised as a student adventure, it will definitely have to happen during the day on a weekend. In that case, he should go to Kravinoff Manor beforehand to scout out any dangers. If Craven is really seeking revenge for his brother, or if he has some other secret, then Peter's spider-sense will definitely be able to detect some degree of danger, and he can eliminate it in advance.

The worst-case scenario is that Craven finds him, the two of them fight, and Peter can simply run away, although he doesn't think Craven can beat him.

Of course, it would be better if Harry could be persuaded not to go, but it seems Harry is really planning to resolve this issue.

"Hey, Peter."

Gwen appeared from behind, patted Peter on the back, and watched Felicia walk away: "Who was that...?"

"Felicia Hardy, a senior in the detective club, is a... professional thief, a vigilante, the kind who specializes in stealing from bad guys."

Gwen said "Oh," then realized what she meant: "Why do pretty girls keep appearing around you every now and then after you became Spider-Man?"

"Or you should ask why there are so many superheroes and anti-heroes at our school. She should be considered an anti-hero."

Judging from Peter's tone, Gwen realized that now was not the time to argue with him. She looked at Peter curiously and asked, "What's wrong? Something bothering you?"

“I told Harry and Amadeus my identity because Harry’s father is Norman Osborn…”

"really?"

Peter, interrupted by Gwen, could only shrug. "Really, but that's not important. Mr. Norman was willing to use Osborn Technology to support Spider-Man, and then we discovered a mansion that might be the residence of some dangerous individual, and Harry was thinking of going to check it out..."

"And you're worried about his safety?"

Peter nodded.

"I can't persuade him."

“Hmm~ It’s actually quite simple.” Gwen laughed. “Liz told us that her father wants her boyfriend to come over for dinner. If Harry finds out…”

"He won't even be thinking about going to the Kravinov estate anymore."

After Peter finished speaking, he looked at Gwen and asked, "Then what do you need me to do?"

"Why do you think I need you to do anything?" "It's always been like this, from childhood to adulthood."

Gwen shrugged: "We have a rehearsal after school today, do you want to come listen?"

I might not be able to finish the last chapter. I'm a bit tired and have a headache. I'll try my best.
