He even had a dream in which his mother not only did not gain merit from his teachings, but instead her sins deepened.

This also caused Ksitigarbha to harbor some resentment in his heart.

He was imprisoned in the nineteenth level of hell simply for harboring resentment towards Buddhism and Taoism.

Now that I have become Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and made so many contributions to the enlightenment of the eightfold assembly of Buddhas, can't I release my mother?

You convert those evil spirits and Rakshasa in the eighteen levels of hell, turning them into the eightfold assembly of Buddhism. Buddhism will benefit from this, gaining the eightfold assembly.

In the mortal realm of the immortals, there are prisons in the human kingdoms, and these prisons are inhabited by the most vicious and wicked people.

Helping these criminals escape is a serious crime.

Those who are able to fall into hell were all extremely vicious in their previous lives, and being imprisoned in hell is their just deserts.

What you call "rehabilitation" is actually helping them escape from prison.

The sins they should have borne will fall on you.

Because you are intertwined with the Buddhist atmosphere, those sins cannot harm you, but will instead be passed on to your relatives.

That is, your mother.

Slandering Buddhism is not a sin; she shouldn't be in the nineteenth level of hell.

He suffered all these calamities because of you; I vow not to become a Buddha until hell is empty!
