Chapter 83 Spiritual Vision
Gu Yi opened the door with practiced ease. Inside the ward, Lionheart Society members in scarlet uniforms crowded around him. The moment he stepped in, the crowd quickly parted to make way for him.

"S-level."

Amidst the chorus of greetings, he slightly raised his chin in response and walked straight to the bedside.

Chu Zihang sat on the bed. Just as Gu Yi was about to speak, Chu Zihang raised his wrist and said, "Please excuse me, everyone. I have something to discuss with Gu Yi alone."

The surging crowd began to recede. Gu Yi nodded slightly as he brushed past Su Xi, "Thank you."

"Of course," the girl replied.

As the last crimson figure disappeared behind the door, Gu Yi dragged the visiting chair to the bedside. "How interesting. Last time I was lying here, it was you all visiting me in a group. Now, it's all the same, you're all hospitalized."

"Does Fingel know?"

"The video of you freezing into an ice sculpture with your Golden Eyes has been pinned to the top of the Night Watchers forum for a while now." Gu Yi took out his phone and waved it; the screen showed Chu Zihang's frozen back in the blizzard.

"it is good."

"What's so good about it!" Gu Yi rested his elbows on his knees. "So what exactly happened? Did the doctor say anything?"

"I triggered my psychic vision."

"Spiritual vision? You saw the heavy snow and it triggered your spiritual vision?" Gu Yi was stunned.

"Do you remember when I was in junior high school, the Arctic vortex moved south and caused a heavy snowfall in Binhai City?"

“I remember. That day, traffic was completely paralyzed. Lu Mingfei and I trudged a long way through the snow before we could hail a taxi.” He squinted. “Why are you suddenly bringing this up?”

"The whole school went to the playground to play in the snow that day, right?"

Gu Yi thought for a moment, "Yeah, Lu Mingfei and I built a really ugly snowman."

"And what about me?" Chu Zihang interrupted his reminiscence.

"You?" Gu Yi rubbed his forehead in confusion. "You weren't involved that day. You just stood under the eaves of the teaching building watching us go crazy the whole time." He suddenly raised an eyebrow as if he remembered something. "Oh right, you even helped sweep the steps of the administration building when the school workers were shoveling snow."

Chu Zihang was silent for a while, then asked, "How did I get home that day?"

"Sitting in your 'dad's' car," Gu Yi said with some concern, "you're not going to say you have amnesia, are you?"

Chu Zihang shook his head, "In my spiritual vision, I was helping a girl build a snowman."

Gu Yi's eyebrows suddenly rose: "Interesting spiritual vision, that's why you kept confirming what happened that day."

“The main scenes are very realistic, not like a hallucination, but more like,” he paused for two seconds, “like memories I’ve forgotten.”

“I understand. During the 3E exam, my psychic vision was also very real.”

Chu Zihang turned his head, waiting for Gu Yi to continue.

“That’s why we’re friends,” Gu Yi laughed. “What I saw was also a snowy day. A man was carrying me and running wildly, while a woman with a gun brought up the rear. Finally, a monster attacked us.”

Do you remember their faces?

"The man has a bearded face, and the woman can't remember him. What about you? Do you remember that girl's face?"

Chu Zihang's gaze shifted to the window. "I used to remember, but I forgot everything after the spiritual vision ended."

Gu Yi nodded slightly. "That's why I said it felt like a dream. Isn't that what dreams are like? You remember things, but then you suddenly forget them when you wake up."

"But I remember some feature of her."

"what?"

The boy on the hospital bed turned his gaze back, "She has canine teeth."

"Senior brother, you have a really unique point of focus." Gu Yi chuckled.

The ticking of medical equipment filled the brief silence. Gu Yi spoke up, "Seriously, should we go to the psychology department and talk to Professor Masafumi Tomiyama?"

"unnecessary."

“I guessed so.” Gu Yi looked up. “But according to school rules, if you inexplicably trigger your spiritual vision, you’ll be forced to go to the psychology department. I was forced to go there after the 3E exam.” “Was it useful?”

"It was very helpful. I originally thought I was going to have to listen to two hours of nonsense, but I felt much better after listening to his advice."

"Understood." Chu Zihang's response was as brief as ever, but Gu Yi knew him well. Chu Zihang was clearly somewhat anxious and... confused.

Gu Yi stood up and pushed the chair back to its original position. "Let's not talk about this anymore. When do you think you'll be discharged from the hospital?"

"Today, I'll go to the Execution Department for a mission the day after tomorrow."

"I just realized it's already December tomorrow." Gu Yi stroked his chin. "These are the last few weeks before winter break, and I haven't even asked you about your holiday plans yet."

"If nothing happens to the Lionheart Society, I will go back to China to check on things."

"It's a pity we can't be together." Gu Yi leaned against the door and smiled. "I have to go to Japan on a business trip before I can return to China."

Is there anything I can bring back for you in advance?

“No need. I always live alone anyway.” His waving finger suddenly froze in mid-air. “Not really. Lu Mingfei sent me a package, it’s huge, and it’s too much trouble to take it to Japan. Could you help me pass it on?”

"can."

"Then it's fine." Gu Yi turned the doorknob. "Shall we talk about it in the dorm tonight?"

"it is good."

As the door opened, the group of people in red uniforms outside looked up in unison, like a flock of crows startled. Gu Yi coughed lightly, his knuckles touching his lips, "You can go in now."

The Lionheart Society's leaders flooded into the ward, leaving only Susie behind. Gu Yi raised an eyebrow, looking at the crowded bed: "I didn't expect my senior brother to be so popular."

Everyone admires the vice president.

“Interesting. When I was in high school, many girls admired him, but most boys hated him and put him on the ‘This villain deserves to be killed’ list.”

What ranking?

"He topped the list for three consecutive years, which was specifically compiled for boys who were academically excellent and popular with girls."

"Shouldn't you be number one?"

"Me?" Gu Yi chuckled. "I was practically invisible in high school, at most a harmless background figure. Besides, I wasn't a very good student."

Susie looked Gu Yi up and down. "Maybe it's because you give people the impression that you're hard to approach."

Gu Yi was taken aback. "Really?"

"That was just my first impression." The girl shook her head. "Actually, after getting to know you, I found you to be quite easy to talk to."

"Thank you, that's a novel compliment."

Susie looked at Gu Yi, and hesitated before saying, "That..."

"What's wrong?" Gu Yi raised an eyebrow, noticing that the girl seemed a little strange.

"It's nothing," Susie shook her head.

Gu Yi suddenly chuckled: "You want to ask about the contents of your senior brother's spiritual vision? Just say it, he didn't tell me to keep it a secret."

Susie looked up abruptly, "This is troublesome."

“I just remember building a snowman with someone. The details are blurry,” he shrugged. “Those memories faded after the psychic vision ended.”

"Thank you," Susie said softly.

"It's no trouble at all." Gu Yi backed away towards the elevator. "I'll leave it to my senior brother. He always tries to push himself to the limit."

"It's my duty." Susie watched as the reflection of the elevator's metal doors gradually closed, composed herself, and walked into the ward.
