Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker
Chapter 446 Fred and George's Ideas
Chapter 446 Fred and George's Ideas
A few minutes later, Fred and George left the carriage again and went to the platform to hug Mrs. Weasley to see them off.
"Come over here, Ginny... and you two are already in seventh grade. Don't cause trouble at school, and take good care of your younger siblings." Mrs. Weasley hurriedly said goodbye to each child, and gave Harry a big hug.
"I have to have a good talk about Sirius. He really should have come to see you off today."
It was then that Sirius Black noticed that he hadn't come to take Harry to school.
“It’s alright, Mrs. Weasley, he must have something more important to do,” Harry said with a smile. “Sirius told me yesterday that he’s going to do Professor Dumbledore a favor, and then he’ll have more time to spend with me.”
“Oh, my dear, I’m so glad you think that way.” Mrs. Weasley hugged Harry again.
Suddenly, the train let out a loud whistle, and the students still on the platform began to hurriedly board the train.
"Hurry up, you lot..." Mrs. Weasley said hastily, "Don't forget to write letters. If you forget anything, we'll send it to you."
Everyone quickly got back into the car.
"goodbye!"
The train started moving and left the platform.
Soon, Mrs. Weasley disappeared from sight.
"You just said that Dumbledore assigned Sirius something very important?" Ron asked curiously. "Did he tell you what it was?"
“No,” Harry shook his head and said, “He only said it was important and that if all goes well, I’ll see him again soon.”
“I bet it has something to do with those escaped Death Eaters,” Ron said confidently. “If we catch them, you can stay with Sirius on your vacation next year.”
“I… I don’t know either.” Harry shook his head. “But Sirius has explained it to me… Dumbledore told him that as long as I stay with the Dursleys, I will receive a special magical protection.”
"Special magical protection?" Fred leaned closer curiously. "What is it?"
“It’s the kind of magic that makes me the boy who survives a great calamity,” Ha said in a deliberately casual tone.
Fred immediately fell silent, because he knew very well how great the price Harry was talking about for that magic.
“But it’s okay.” Harry broke the silence. “Sirius said he would make it up to me… I don’t blame him, really. I was probably angry at first, but then I realized that he did it to prevent the Death Eaters from having a chance to cause me trouble.”
“Yes, he must have known those Death Eaters would come looking for you, to avenge Mysterio,” Ron said, still somewhat shaken.
“Never mind that, we’re in school now, aren’t we?” Fred said with a smile.
“Yeah, the Death Eaters can’t possibly chase us all the way to the school,” George said. “Why don’t we guess what Sirius’s compensation will be?”
Everyone immediately became interested.
Sirius Black had given Harry a gift before, a broom that would still be considered the best even today... a Firebolt.
If it's compensation, it certainly won't be worse than that.
“I guess it’s a solid gold crucible,” Ron said.
“No, I think it’s a shop in Diagon Alley.” Fred stroked his chin. “Those pure-blood wizarding families all have some kind of land deed to Diagon Alley, more or less.”
“Twenty different wands would be nice,” Siron said, glancing at Harry’s hair.
New hair has grown back, and while he's still young, he can use it again.
“No, what Harry needs most right now is a complete encyclopedia of magic,” Hermione chimed in.
She was referring to the set of books on the innermost shelf of Flourish and Blotts, a collection of seven books, each about the size of "Hogwarts: A History of the School," and very expensive. Hermione wanted to buy them every time she went to Flourish and Blotts, but she didn't have even a fraction of the price tag, so she simply couldn't afford them.
“Maybe a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans would be nice too.” Harry shrugged. “Because Dudley has to lose weight during the summer holidays, I’m really craving some magical snacks right now.”
“Then we can go find the witch who sells snacks,” Ron said. “If we keep walking, we’ll definitely find her.”
“Ron, now… I’m afraid not,” Hermione said somewhat awkwardly. “Harry and I should go to the prefects’ box.”
“Oh, okay, yeah…” Ron said, his expression stiffening for a moment as if he had realized something.
“Oh, poor little Ronnie,” Fred said, then looked at Celen. “Let’s go back, Lee is waiting.”
“No problem,” Xiren said.
“Wait, Siron, aren’t you coming with us to the prefect’s carriage?” Hermione asked quickly.
“I’m not going,” Xilun blurted out. “Being with those serious prefects will only make the journey more boring.”
“Sorry Hermione and Harry, I’m not talking about you, but I really don’t know any of the other prefects besides you, and I don’t have much in common with them.”
At this moment, Ron's complexion improved considerably, and he managed to force a smile.
"Alright, you guys go ahead. Do you need me to save you seats?"
“That’s great,” Harry said with a smile. “Sirlen is right, I don’t want to stay in that boring place all the time.”
Meanwhile, back in the carriage, Fred and George immediately began discussing the results of their investigation in Diagon Alley a few days earlier.
“Three choices.” Fred spread out a street map of Diagon Alley, which showed the location and name of every shop in the alley.
Three of the locations were marked with a red quill pen.
“We actually prefer this spot,” Fred said, pointing to one of the markers.
Xiren glanced at it and felt it looked familiar. Upon closer inspection... wasn't this right next to Ollivander's Wand Shop?
To be precise, it's across from the wand shop, closer to Florin's Ice Cream Shop.
“Yes, you noticed too, didn’t you?” George said smugly. “This is a place we carefully selected.”
"Because the wand shop is a place every freshman goes to."
"When they come out, they will be able to see our shop."
"The Weasley Wizarding World will be their first step into the wizarding world."
What do you think of this idea?
"Not very good." Xilun twitched the corner of his mouth.
If he remembered correctly, the Weasleys's Magical Tricks shop sign was supposed to have a sound, and it was quite noisy.
With such a neighbor, it's hard to say whether Garrick might later rush to Hogwarts and kill his investor.
More importantly, they also have a very popular product – fake magic wands.
Selling fake wands across from a wand shop—isn't that a bit much?
