Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker

Chapter 445 School starts

Chapter 445 School starts

On the last night before school started, Xiren walked out of the Owl Post Office and let out a long sigh of relief.

After several busy days, he finally finished all the orders. Then the owl would deliver the wands to the address and collect the final payment.

As for whether anyone will default on their debts... Xilun isn't worried at all.

No one with a brain would want to deceive a wizard, especially one who once possessed their hair.

Xiren wasn't foolish enough to use up all the "core materials." If anyone tried to renege on their debt, he wouldn't mind letting them experience the greeting of dark magic... There were plenty of people in Knockdown Alley willing to take on such orders.

It's just a bit troublesome.

When we delivered the first batch of wands a while ago, a large flock of owls would come to the store every day, and they wouldn't all come at once; they could come anytime from morning till night.

While waiting for these owls, Xiren couldn't go anywhere else and could only wait on the second floor of the shop.

Of course, such minor troubles were no problem at all in the face of those shiny gold coins. Looking at the Galleons that were gradually piling up in front of him, Xiren couldn't be more happy that the owl would keep coming.

This is another advantage of custom-made wands.

As we all know, the materials used to make wand cores are very expensive. For example, a unicorn tail hair costs nine Galleons, a dragon's heart chord is about the same price, and phoenix tail feathers are the most expensive and can't even be bought.

But the wizard's hair is different; it's provided by the wizard himself and completely free, which saves a lot of money.

Of course, if you factor in labor costs, it doesn't actually make much money.

It's all for the advancement of the magical world.

Back at the wand shop, Celen quickly packed his luggage, stuffing all his textbooks and homework into his suitcase.

Then he opened the notebook he used to record orders. Most of these orders were marked as 'completed'. Although not all of them were completed, the rest were new orders added in the last few days. There was no need to rush; he could deal with them after school started.

It might be a little later, but there's no way around it. He can't drop out of school and stay home making wands. Even if he had that idea, his parents and grandfather would never agree.

So we'll have to ask the customers to wait a few more days. We hope they don't mind.

……

The next day, September 1st, was also the first day of school at Hogwarts.

Early that morning, Garrick, as usual, took Siren to King's Cross Station.

He skillfully walked to the partition wall between platforms nine and ten, and after confirming that no Muggles were watching him, he lowered his head and rushed over quickly.

The wall seemed to be non-existent, allowing Xilun to rush past and arrive at platform 9 behind it.

The platform was crowded with students and their parents saying goodbye, and the red Hogwarts Express was parked there, looking exactly the same as it had been a few years ago.

As Xilun walked toward the train, people kept greeting him warmly.

"Hey, Celen."

"Hello, Siron."

"Long time no see, Mr. Ollivander."

……

"Oh, come quick, see who's here."

"Our big star."

Fred and George stood on either side of the train door, looking like two train conductors, winking at Celen.

"I feel like your fame is almost surpassing Harry's."

“He’s the famous Savior, you know.” “Please, Fred, don’t say that!” Harry said awkwardly, sticking his head out from one of the carriages.

Although he had gradually accepted this identity over the years, Harry still felt somewhat ashamed to have it said in front of so many people.

“Oh, Harry, I didn’t say anything!” the other twin shouted.

“Hehe, actually I’m George,” said the person Harry was looking at.

“Yes, I’m sorry,” Harry said, his face turning even redder. He quickly looked at the other person. “Sorry, Fred, I mistook you for someone else again.”

"I was just kidding, I'm actually George."

“What a boring trick,” Ron said irritably, speaking up for Harry. “Don’t forget Harry is a prefect now. You’d better watch out.”

"if not……"

Will he deduct points from our score?

"Or should we be put in solitary confinement?"

"Little Ronnie, school hasn't started yet, so the prefect can't govern us."

The twins laughed heartily as they walked over to Xiren and helped him carry his luggage onto the train.

“Speaking of which, don’t you have a shapeshifting lizard skin bag?” Fred asked. “Why don’t you put all of these in there?”

Siren glanced at the wand in his pocket; it was indeed Fred.

“There’s no need for that, it’s not that heavy anyway,” he said. “Besides, at King’s Cross station, a person with empty hands looks much stranger than someone pushing a luggage cart.”

"To our carriage?" George asked. "Or would you rather use your privileges and go to the spacious classmaster's carriage?"

“Since you’ve all said that, how can I possibly go to the class monitor’s carriage?” Xiren sighed.

Fred and George chuckled, showing no embarrassment whatsoever, and dragged Celen's luggage straight into a middle carriage.

Their other good friend, Lee Jordan, was already sitting inside. He was a tall boy with long, bushy hair and the school's Quidditch commentator.

Upon seeing the three men enter, he immediately jumped up from his seat and solemnly performed an awkward curtsy.

"Oh, Mr. Ollivander, it is an honor to share a carriage with you."

“Very good.” Celen cleared his throat. “I’d like to have a cup of black tea in the car.”

“As you wish, sir.” Lee Jordan produced a glass of…butterbeer as if by magic.

"Is this black tea?" Fred said angrily.

“Of course not.” Lee Jordan gave him a disgruntled look. “But this is all I have, or you can use magic to turn it into black tea.”

According to the fundamental law of Gamp's transformation, magic cannot conjure food out of thin air. Even if you turn a piece of wood into a sausage and eat it, it will turn back into wood in your stomach.

But if the food is transformed into another food, or if it's just a simple change in taste, then there's no problem.

In the magical world, the Tea Charm and the Wine Charm have always been popular spells, especially in France. It is said that there are wizards there who can turn a glass of ordinary water into the taste of the finest red wine, leaving one with a slight buzz after drinking it.

They swindled a lot of money from Muggles in this way... Well, it's not really a scam, at least those Muggles who drank the "magic wine" didn't think they'd been cheated.

Of course, Fred and George certainly don't have that ability, and even if they did, Celen wouldn't intend to touch anything they've touched.

He didn't want to suddenly turn into a big canary or something else on the train.
