Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker

Chapter 416 Is Percy a Death Eater?

Chapter 416 Is Percy a Death Eater?
The sudden arrival of Scrimgeour, and Fudge's subsequent unusual behavior, gradually quieted down the once lively Quidditch pitch.

Percy had originally wanted to make a good impression on Fudge and planned to return to the Ministry of Magic with them, but as soon as he brought up the idea, Scrimgeour sternly rejected him, explicitly forbidding him from returning to the Ministry of Magic at this time.

“I am Percy Weasley.” Percy, confused, argued with a red neck, “I am a full-time employee of the Ministry of Magic, temporarily serving as a referee for the Triwizard Tournament in place of Mr. Barty Crouch. Why won’t you let me return to the Ministry of Magic?”

"Crouch?"

These words were very effective. Upon hearing Crouch's name, Scrimgeour, who had been walking hurriedly, suddenly stopped.

"So, you've been getting quite close to Barty Crouch lately, is that right?" he asked.

“Mr. Crouch appreciates me highly…” A hint of pride flashed in Percy’s eyes as he straightened his disheveled sleeves and collar. “I mean, yes, I am his assistant.”

"So that's how it is. I didn't expect I almost missed a key figure," Scrimgeour muttered to himself.

He extended his hand, and Percy, thinking it was an invitation to follow, instinctively walked forward.

But the next second...

"Limb restraint!" Scrimgeour shouted sharply.

Percy's hands began to rise uncontrollably from behind, and were twisted behind his back. His upper body also bent downwards with this movement, as if someone was pressing his head down from behind.

His body floated up, his legs bound tightly together by magic.

"What are you doing!" Fred immediately ran forward from the crowd.

Although he disliked Percy and often made fun of him, it didn't mean he would stand by and watch Percy be bullied, especially in such a humiliating way.

George, Ron, and Ginny were all glaring angrily at Scrimgeour. Further away, Mrs. Weasley and Bill, who had been invited to watch the game, were also rushing over anxiously.

"Let go of Percy!" Fred said, and started to walk forward.

But soon, a pair of hands stopped him.

“Stand there, Weasley.” Moody appeared beside him at some point and grabbed Fred’s shoulder tightly.

“That’s a binding spell, a spell that Aurors use to escort serious criminals,” Moody said in a deep voice. “If you step forward now, the Aurors have the right to arrest you as an accomplice.”

Several Weasleys turned their heads almost simultaneously.

“Repeat offender…what does that mean?” George asked in a dry voice.

“I’m referring to the most vicious Death Eaters,” Moody said.

Upon hearing this, Mrs. Weasley, who had just run over, rolled her eyes and fainted on the spot.

"Mom!" Bill, who was standing nearby, reacted quickly and helped her up.

“That’s impossible!” Ron shouted. “Percy can’t possibly be a Death Eater! There must be some mistake. He can’t be a Death Eater!”

“I don’t know,” Moody shook his head. “But Rufus Scrimgeour is the Auror’s Chief of Staff; he wouldn’t joke about using a binding charm.”

In the distance, Scrimgeour had already taken Percy's wand and was now looking at them expressionlessly.

After confirming that no one would approach, he cautiously took two steps back and disappeared into the night with Percy, who was floating in mid-air.

No one knows what happened, but the originally lively awards ceremony came to an abrupt end as a result.

If anyone present was happy, it would probably be Karkarov.

He didn't know what had happened, but he could guess that the British magical community was in trouble, and big trouble at that. This was... wonderful!

The frustration of losing the game vanished instantly. Looking at the Hogwarts professors around him with their brows furrowed, Karkaroff struggled to control his smile.

"Krum, we're leaving." He said in a deliberately loud voice, "It seems Hogwarts isn't in the mood for dinner tonight, but we can eat on the ship."

“You’re joking, Professor Karkaroff,” Dumbledore said calmly, seemingly unaffected by the recent turn of events.

“The kitchen is ready with a celebratory dinner,” he said. “Everyone can now return to the castle and enjoy the meal.”

As people began to line up to leave the Quidditch stadium, they continued to discuss what had just happened on the way.

“I knew it all along,” Malfoy said confidently in front of a group of Slytherins. “The Weasleys are dirt poor; they must have joined the Dark Lord for money.”

“Shut up, Malfoy!” Harry turned around angrily. “The Weasleys can’t be Death Eaters.”

“Oh, so Potter’s going to stand up for his Death Eater friend?” Malfoy drawled. “You think I’m letting him? If you ask me, the Aurors should arrest that Arthur Weasley right now, he might be the real…”

"boom!"

"Ouch!"

A powerful punch successfully shut Malfoy up.

“Damn it… Weasley… how dare you hit me…” Malfoy looked at Ron, who was standing in front of him and hadn’t had time to retract his arm. As soon as he opened his mouth, two bloody teeth fell out.

In an instant, Malfoy's eyes turned bloodshot.

His teeth were knocked out?
Even his father never hit him like that!

"Go get him..." Malfoy pointed at Ron, trembling, and roared furiously, "I'm going to kill him, kill him!"

His two henchmen, Crabbe and Goyle, immediately stepped forward, clenching their fists.

By the time they reached fourth grade, they had grown even larger, looking from a distance like two wild boars wearing robes.

Ron instinctively took a step back, and just then, two identical voices shouted at the same time:

"Malfoy..."

What do you intend to do to my brother?

Fred and George walked up from behind and stood in front of Ron. Their usual playful expressions were gone, and they stared coldly at Malfoy and his group.

Despite being stared at by two sixth-year students, Malfoy felt no fear at all, because the older Slytherin students also came over.

"What, are Gryffindors trying to bully us Slytherins?"

Leading the way was Miles Monta, a member of the Slytherin Quidditch pitch and also a sixth-year student.

Like most of the Slytherin team members, Monta was also very strong. He crossed his arms and led the other members of the Slytherin team, looking at Fred and George provocatively.

The Gryffindor team, not to be outdone, stepped forward.

The number of people on both sides of the standoff continued to increase, and the atmosphere became increasingly tense, as if an explosion could occur at any moment. Some people even silently pulled out their wands.
