Kobold Wizard's Journal
Chapter 466 Shattering and Dissolution
Chapter 466 Shattering and Dissolution
The so-called royal wedding will never begin. Its greatest significance may be to gather together the surviving fairies scattered throughout the kingdom, and to let them have a final celebration and frolic as the kingdom falls.
One by one, different yet similar fairies arrive from afar. Those who enjoy brewing wine carry their small jars under their arms, traversing mountains and rivers just to share with everyone. The eloquent ones prepare many stories, recounting their adventures, which elicit gasps of amazement from the surrounding fairies. Even though it's just ordinary boasting, as none of them have ever left the country, they still exclaim in amazement, expressing genuine and heartfelt admiration.
A nation's story has come to an end.
The wizards who came to the Endless Sea to resolve the incident didn't even glance at it. They could surely sense that this shattered fairy kingdom, its birth and demise, was like a link in this underground world, a natural phenomenon that occurred every moment, like the rise and fall of waves on the shore.
The three young people were experiencing the changes in the country, which was a rare experience. The wizard Zorn below was still drinking and laughing, but it seemed that no fairy could catch his eye anymore.
Luger observed everything, quietly experiencing the changes that occurred as the kingdom crumbled and perished.
Valin seemed to have truly overcome her strange feelings towards fairies. In fact, Ruger had already noticed that she got along well with the combs from the wizard Gillian. At this moment, she looked at the fairies with a hint of pity. Human thinking is different from theirs after all; we cannot face death as calmly as they do. Perhaps they never even thought about death.
Unfortunately, Valin's gem summoner techniques couldn't take away more fairies. Theoretically, the path of a lower-level spellcaster, chosen by someone who can't become a wizard apprentice but has some spiritual talent, is only possible because of strong restrictions. For example, they must be gem fairies. Some other types of fairies are initially gem fairies, but after being cultivated and modified, the gem summoner's spiritual training method, to put it simply, is a process of adjusting spiritual fluctuations, turning them into a very strange form that can attract gem fairies.
Luger gazed into the distance; the kingdom was crumbling faster than he had imagined.
In the far distance, the territory of those twisting, towering mushrooms has already begun to leap and spread, reaching the royal city in just a moment under normal circumstances.
It was a truly wondrous experience. At this moment, Luger and his companions were essentially sitting firmly on the last and largest fragment of the kingdom. The area around the royal city was special; as long as the Fairy King remained within the royal city, it would be much more solid than other places, and the spread of the fragments would naturally be much slower.
Ruger even caught a glimpse of the void, which, after distorting and recovering, appeared as a hazy white film of light. Presumably, beyond that, one could see the endless sea.
Rumble!
The cracks were spreading, and in the last moment before being swallowed by nothingness, the giant mushrooms were still happily wriggling and jumping.
They were the largest targets in their field of vision, and Ruger could see them more clearly as they fell one by one and disappeared piece by piece, along with the country that had grown them.
An even greater commotion arose within the royal city, and Varin had already been looking towards the center of the city.
What the wizard Gillian needs to do is to use the power of the shattered kingdom through the Fairy King to heal her old wounds and successfully complete her ascension before the Fairy Kingdom is completely destroyed. Otherwise, she will have to perish with him and disappear from this world completely.
"The reason why the teacher was so easily infected with the power of disharmony when we dealt with the incident together last time was because of the trauma on her mental level... From now on, she will not have to worry about it..." Valin looked into the distance with anticipation.
Mahama put down his teacup.
“As far as I know, that kind of healing is only superficial. No matter what kind of power is used, it cannot compare to the self-healing ability of the mental space. The seemingly boundless and empty mental space of a wizard is actually very complex,” Mahama said in a deep voice. “However, I believe that Wizard Gillian can completely heal herself. My teacher once said that when the mental space is injured, there is an opportunity for healing at the third ring wizard stage. As long as you can persist until the third ring limit to condense the origin point and become an origin point wizard, you can heal most of the injuries to the mental space.”
Ruger raised an eyebrow upon hearing this. Gillian was probably thinking the same thing: to take this opportunity to become a third-ringed being and undergo a superficial healing process. She was confident in herself and believed she could successfully gather her essence and condense the Origin Point.
Then we can return to that vast world.
Sitting in a shattered kingdom, sipping tea, watching the invisible cracks surge in, watching the surrounding earth and sky disappear bit by bit, it's as if even the fruit tea has lost its flavor.
At the end of a street, a mischievous fairy jumped up to play a trick on her companion, disappearing without a trace with that light leap.
A fairy had just finished drinking from her cup and immediately raised it in a toast. The fairy opposite her, grinning, picked up a wine pouch larger than herself and tossed it over. As the pouch tumbled through the air in an arc, the fairy who threw it vanished. The fairy paused, caught the pouch, and poured herself a full cup, seemingly afraid of spilling it and hesitant to pour too quickly. Before she could even bring the cup to her lips, she too disappeared.
Along with them disappeared the royal city's streets paved with rounded bricks and the beautiful, strangely shaped fairy houses of all sizes.
Ruger noticed that the wizard Zorn, who was still partying on the street corner, smiled and glanced back at them.
This inexplicable action left the three young people completely baffled.
The shattering continued, even after entering the royal city, only gradually slowing down. The swirling fragments moved as slowly as a comedian on stage, making people laugh.
Luger's eyes suddenly lit up.
At the end of their street, where the broken, swirling fragments would not dissipate into nothingness, he saw a large white rat reflected in one of the fragments at a strange angle, like a mirror.
On the slowly churning fragments, in the reflected image, the rat owner was still wriggling his fat body, cleaning his inn, even though the debris had reached outside the inn and torn apart the inn's exquisite wooden door.
It seems that this rat fairy had some involvement with spatial power, which is why its inn has survived until now, but it was all in vain, or perhaps it never put up any resistance.
Everything will eventually vanish into nothingness.
The large rat was dusting everything around with a duster made of twigs, seemingly humming a song as it cleaned, as if preparing to welcome the next wave of travelers, until the world gradually crumbled, enveloping it and its little inn, until it was completely devoured and disappeared.
Ruger noticed that while cleaning the dust off its little paws, it was also tucking the book he had given it under its armpit.
Aiskin's carefully selected novel, "The Bloodthirsty Hotel Owner and His Mercenary Friends".
The streets of the royal city were still broken and churning. A few fairies cried out in alarm, seemingly sensing fear, but most of them continued to laugh, disappearing with their homes along with their laughter.
Suddenly, a familiar aura emanated from the direction of the city center. Under a series of strange stimuli, the aura began to rise steadily.
Ruger first looked down at the wizard Zorn.
The fact that the wizard Zorn was still happily drinking on the street meant that there was no major external force causing any anomalies, and the success or failure depended solely on the wizard Gillian herself.
The broken and vanished kingdom stands in stark contrast to the ever-rising spirit.
It's like being reborn from ruins, or like sucking and devouring the fairy kingdom, exchanging the destruction of the kingdom for its own rebirth.
Fortunately, the fairies didn't have those thoughts, otherwise they would have definitely directed their anger at the wizard Gillian. Even though the destruction of the kingdom was not her doing, any other creature would have tried to shift and vent their anger when faced with the irreversible fate of their homeland.
As that momentum climbed to a heart-stopping point.
Ruger knew that the great man had probably succeeded, and then, just as he had expected, the rising momentum began to gradually subside.
