Kobold Wizard's Journal

Chapter 440 Danger and Pleasure

Chapter 440 Danger and Pleasure

Ruger adapted to his short stature, but fortunately the changes weren't too drastic; he could still wear the robe, at most tearing off a bit of the hem.

He was still wearing that tattered wizard's robe, and he had come to like the feeling of leaving the robe open to let in some fresh air. As he straightened the robe, he could see the eager-to-try scraggly hair number one, but he ignored it. This guy should already be able to receive more spiritual hairs, but not now. He was thinking about continuing to experiment with spells, but he kept those thoughts to himself. He could do those things later.

"Let's go to the island for a barbecue!"

Ruger said with a smile.

Things seemed to have calmed down, so he naturally wanted to go outside and take a look. There was a possibility that Mahama and the vanished wizard Gillian might come back to find him, so it would be more convenient to stay outside.

Aiskin and Big Fool were taken aback by the sudden change of topic, but then raised their hands in agreement.

The fact that they are allowed to go out alone is enough to tell a lot. Their anxiety about food is gone, and they can continue their beloved fishing and hunting. It also means that Ruger has judged that it is safe outside. The two kobolds had also felt the two abnormal spatial shakings before, but they just kept it in mind and did not bother their older brother Ruger to ask them questions.

Squeak! Squeak!

Suddenly, a shout came from not far away.

The two kobolds who were cheering paused.

Luger was also stunned for a moment. Through his mental intuition, he strode out of the experimental corner and bumped right into a hurried figure. With his dragon bloodline reversed, he was almost knocked over.

"Squeak! Why are you awake? Raiden said you're a Wyvern, and you can sleep for a long time at a time. That's because you're growing."

Luger happily hugged Squeak's big head.

"squeak!"

It squeaked loudly, then began to squeak softly again.

“I’m fine, I’m great, even better than before,” Ruger said with a smile.

The little guy was actually awakened by the changes brought about by his promotion, and through the connection in his heart, he sensed that his condition was abnormal.

It squeaked and raised its head to greet Aiskin and Big Silly Hum.

Aiskin happily ran to its side and introduced the new dishes she had come up with while it was asleep. She also said that they had been approved by Luger and that he would make them for Zizi to try.

Luger smiled at them and waved his hand to open the spatial portal.

They strode onto the island.

Listening to the sound of the waves, watching the wondrous night, and seeing the faint light in the far distance.

Big Fool Heng started carrying ingredients out to start a fire.

Squeak also crawled out, just curiously watching the bouncy pile of fur.

They looked at each other, sensing the aura of their master on each other, which naturally made them closer. The only drawback was that Zizi's body was covered in large pieces of hard shell, with a texture like dragon scales, and it had no hair at all.

As Luger listened to the sound of the waves, he also turned his head to take a closer look at Zizi; the little guy had grown up again.

Zizi's dragon bloodline is far stronger than that of the three kobolds, and its lifespan should be longer. It's unknown how big it will eventually grow. After all, many experienced old wizards can't accurately judge the size of these sub-dragons. Many sub-dragons are only found in the world and are born by chance. Zizi's birth was due to being bathed in the blood of a different dragon and being devoured by Karyu's dead egg.

Luger gazed into the distance.

Speaking of lifespan, he had a vague feeling about it after his advancement. Because of his dragon bloodline, his lifespan after his advancement and transformation was longer than that of ordinary wizards. He couldn't make a specific judgment, as he had relatively little knowledge in this area. He only knew that he could probably live for a long time, perhaps even long enough to support a high-level wizard's lengthy experiment.

Before they knew it, the sound of fighting broke out beside them.

The Spirit-Haired Knights were gathering their forces, launching a valiant charge against the evil dragon, Squeak. Squeak rolled around, and the two sides clashed fiercely.

The Spirit Hair Knights, empowered by the Lesser Sharpness spell, occasionally collided with Squeak, leaving marks on Squeak's thin carapace, though the carapace was difficult to mark.

Ruger watched with a smile, knowing that neither side was using their full strength; it was just casual play.

The casting characteristics of Lesser Sharpness, along with Spirit Hair One's mastery of Faith Power, can enhance spell effects. Faith Power is currently the only known man-made source of power in the wizarding world, though strictly speaking, it is only approximate.

Ruger withdrew his gaze and looked at the object in his hand.

His Demon Hunter Badge lay quietly in his palm. As soon as he stepped out of the bedroom, he took it out and carried it with him.

And it seemed to have moved just now.

There are slight fluctuations.

Luger stared at it, somewhat puzzled, when suddenly another fluctuation occurred, this time extremely stable.

He extended his mental energy, which intertwined with the Demon Hunter's emblem, and a brief message appeared in his mind.

Ruger was first surprised by the fluctuation, not the content. In his perception, if he had not been promoted to a formal wizard, he would not even be able to decipher the words.

Become a full-fledged wizard and gain the qualification to search for demon wizards.

Ruger carefully considered the implications of this fluctuation, and it seemed that there was also a sense of inheritance in that search.

Demon Wizard?

The demon wizard is dead?

disappeared?
Ruger scratched his head, suddenly remembering the few words his teacher had said to him before leaving at that strange dining table.

—Don't pay attention to other things. Just be a normal demon hunter, continue your training, accumulate power, study spells, learn knowledge, understand yourself, and enjoy the peace and progress in the present moment. That is your most precious wealth. The weak have their own dangers, but also their own unique comforts.

Now that he knows this information, he has a different feeling about what the teacher said.

So Ruger put the Demon Hunter badge back on and turned to eat the freshly cooked roast meat.

He planned to follow his teacher's advice. That demon wizard was theoretically his teacher's teacher, so he was naturally incredibly powerful and had many disciples. The material of this emblem was special, and it was highly likely that only his disciples, or their disciples' disciples, would be qualified to have it, and would obtain it after becoming a formal wizard.

So, from all perspectives, he, a newly promoted first-ring wizard, is not up to par, so nothing beats roast meat.

He will lie low in this small corner of the endless sea, until he becomes strong enough.

Luger tilted his head and looked up at the air.

"Brother Luger, the grilled fish is ready."

Aiskin handed over an extra-large grilled fish.

Ruger instinctively took it, bit it hard, but kept staring at a certain spot in mid-air.

A faint light flashed by.

Ruger suddenly realized that that was the place where the wizard Gillian, carrying her tall apprentice Valin, disappeared together with the help of those combs.

As the light trembled, a tall figure fell askew from mid-air.
