Kobold Wizard's Journal

Chapter 122 Brother and Sister

Chapter 122 Brother and Sister

The carriage slowly turned the corner. Unexpectedly, Maurice's driving skills were quite good. His skillful technique and excellent pack animal allowed the carriage to slow down evenly, which was more skillful than the servants he had sent away before. The carriage finally stopped very smoothly in front of Luger's house.

Ruger jumped off the cart first. Daisy didn't come out to greet him; she was probably busy in the kitchen. With these big eaters around, there was bound to be a lot of preparation work every day. It was a pity that Ruger took Aiskin and Big Fool with him when he left; otherwise, he could have helped her out.

Young Master Lorigo, cloaked and supported by Mortel, stepped down from the carriage. He had suffered a lot these past few days, eating and sleeping poorly. As he was not a superhuman, his pampered life had not given him a strong physique.

Ruger walked into the house and looked towards the kitchen, just as Daisy came out at that moment.

Upon seeing her appearance, Ruger laughed.

“Do you remember what I told you before?” Ruger said with a smile.

He sat down at the table in the living room and poured himself a cup of fruit tea that he hadn't had a chance to enjoy before.

Daisy nodded.

With a wave of his hand, Ruger vanished from that spot.

This was a technique he had discovered through repeated practice, and he had always used it on two kobolds. This was the first time he had used it on an ordinary person. He would leave his secret mark on the target, and if the target had no intention of resisting, he could take the person into the Abyss Bedroom Space as if collecting an item.

Bang!
With a deafening roar, broken planks flew everywhere, and the walls that Daisy had carefully wiped every day, as well as a set of her favorite table and chairs leaning against the wall, were reduced to pieces.

Three superhumans rushed in from the front, while five more figures emerged from behind and outside the window, accompanied by obvious magical fluctuations, forming a pincer movement against Ruger.

Ruger and Lorig had already realized while on the beast-drawn carriage that this residence, arranged by the red-haired Mortel, would be targeted sooner or later. The two hadn't anticipated Lorig's current situation, which was why Daisy remained there. Ruger didn't know what Lorig was thinking, but he certainly wouldn't let Daisy be captured, tortured, and interrogated for no reason.

“Young Master Lorigo, the Baron has ordered that you have colluded with the evil Redeemer Madman and been bewitched by him to murder the old Baron. You must come back with us to face family trial.”

A group of knights blocked the entrance to the courtyard, approaching step by step; the low wall of the courtyard was not even up to the chests of their mounts.

As fabricated charges were leveled against Lorigo, the intensity of the arrests seemed to be escalating rapidly.

Luger laughed as he tore open a gap in the encirclement with his foul-smelling skin, dodging the incoming arrows. He leaped into the courtyard, and with a wave of his hand, Lorigo and Mortel also vanished. The purpose of getting them out of the carriage was to draw attention and ensure that Luger could leisurely walk into the house and try to find Daisy.

Not wanting to cause trouble for his neighbors, he casually tucked away the old deck chair under the tree and ran towards the most complicated neighborhood in the outer city.

A group of noble knights was approaching from a distance.

He charged left and right until he reached an empty alley, where he immediately opened a portal and rushed inside.

The biggest drawback of this abyss bedroom space is that the entrance and exit cannot be seen by anyone, otherwise he will be ambushed if he goes in.

Seeing him walk in with a smile, the two kobolds breathed a sigh of relief.

Three humans lay beside him, all knocked unconscious by the two dragonborn kobolds—this was all part of his pre-arranged plan. He had told them beforehand not to resist, firstly to make it easier to store them in his spatial dimension, and secondly to make it easier to knock them unconscious.

“Brother Luger, Daisy didn’t have the heart to hit me hard enough, so she didn’t faint the first time. I hit her again, but I think I hit her a little too hard…” Aiskin said with some concern.

"And then there's this red-haired Miss Myrtle. As soon as she entered the space, Big Fool Heng blocked her way. She instinctively tried to dodge, but managed to control herself. I was afraid of making another mistake, so I slammed my fist down hard, but it seems I hit her too hard again."

Aiskin looked remorseful, while Big Fool Hum pretended to be stupid and simply hummed a couple of times to get rid of it.

Ruger laughed and said, "It's alright, I still have healing potions. At worst, I'll just give them a sip later. You did a great job. Actually, it's not a big deal if they know about this space. They're all smart people."

Three days passed in the blink of an eye. Ruger walked out of the alley and came to a tavern. There weren't many people there at this time. He sat in a dimly lit corner and listened to the patrons boast about their bravery and interesting stories about the city.

The most discussed topic was naturally the assassination attempt on the old baron by Red Moon City.

He listened for a while, but there was no news he was hoping for; it seemed that Miss Star had not yet returned.

Most wizarding apprentices should have a fairly strict sense of time, right?

With a wave of his hand, Lorigo and the other two appeared sprawled on the chairs opposite him. He went up to them, pried open their mouths, and fed each of them a small sip of the dark green potion.

He then beckoned to the waiter and ordered some of the restaurant's specialties.

The three of them woke up quickly and began to wolf down their food.

“Lord Ruger, your method is quite good, but it gives me a bit of a headache,” said Lorigo.

“A slight side effect of the spell,” Ruger said. “It’s a composite spell that combines kobold summoning with my own unique creation.”

The red-haired woman, eating nearby, gave Ruger a strange look.

As Lorigo sipped his broth, he listened to the conversations around him and quickly realized that his savior, his sister, had not yet arrived.

People came and went in the tavern, and a few people sat in the corner after finishing their meal with a drink in hand.

"Are you waiting for me?"

Suddenly a pleasant voice rang out, and a person dressed in a wizard's robe and wearing a hood stood beside the table.

Ruger looked at her curiously.

Lorig immediately took out a delicate little thing from his pocket, and the person whose face was not visible also took out one and waved it in his hand.

"Dasoya, it really is you!" Lorigo exclaimed excitedly.

“It’s me, Brother Lorigo. I don’t think we should waste any more time here,” she said. “I came back a day ago and spent the day catching up on what’s been happening in town lately.”

She said she glanced at Ruger and the others.

“Now, brother, I think we should go to the family castle. I haven’t seen that serious older brother in a long time.”

She then walked out without giving Lorigo a chance to reply, as if she had only come here to find him to go and bear witness together.

“Lord Ruger…” Lorig looked at Ruger hopefully.

Ruger nodded with a smile.

“You don’t need to worry. Your sister seems very confident, so there won’t be any problems,” he understood what Lorigo meant. “Of course, I’d also like to see a battle between strong people. I’ll go with you. You two can stay here.”

Ruger looked at Daisy and Myrtle. Myrtle wanted to say something, but in the end she just nodded.
