Cang's Ramblings

Chapter 1481 Review of "Single Player Tokyo"

Chapter 1481 Review of "Single Player Tokyo"

Hello everyone, I am Cang Yiwei.

Today I would like to recommend a new book to you.

"Stand-alone Tokyo", tough as iron, level 1 author.

Category: City-Business War and Workplace.

Summary:
Tokyo is a good place. Even in the parallel world of Tokyo, its cost of living is still a bit high, and the average income of people working here is a bit low.

I want to live and live well. In this process, it is understandable to be a little unscrupulous. You cannot understand and accept it. I suggest you, first take a look at the gun in my hand and the person behind it. I It can give you a chance to change your words.

Then I have money, and I am not ugly personally...

Therefore, when I am in Japan, I am destined to be a master.

(The author has never been to Japan. Everything written in the book is the result of personal imagination and hearsay. Any similarity is purely coincidental.)
【Brief Comment】

He only has this book to his name, which is currently being serialized with 160,000 words and took 55 days to create. It has over 10,000 collections, 17,000 fans, and no leader.

According to research by readers in the book circle, this is a veteran author from Hedgehog, called the Emperor's Angel of Death, who has written "Blade of the Empire" with 445 million words, which is occasionally serialized.

This book is currently ranked eighth on the overall new book list and second on the urban new book list. However, I haven't found any recommended positions for it. It's possible that the official account responsible for data collection has been recently targeted and no longer provides access to it.

I just took a look at the story. The first three chapters weren't discussed much, but the latter parts quickly gained traction, especially after the protagonist's mother's death, when the system's functionality was introduced. As the title and synopsis suggest, the story is set in Japan. The protagonist is reborn in Tokyo. Following a divorce, his mother becomes promiscuous and develops an addiction, leading to her health and the family's wealth being eroded. Even more egregious, these addicts struggle to control their behavior, brutally injuring and killing even their beloved son, prompting a new spirit to intervene.

As the protagonist adjusts to his new body, he inevitably reveals the emotions of his former owner. His feelings for his mother shift from deep love to how to properly kill her without arousing suspicion from the police and neighbors. He chooses to force his mother to quit drinking, locking her in a room while she's drunk and providing her with three meals a day. He maintains a normal social life, revealing his helplessness towards his mother. After five days, his mother suffers from repeated bouts of addiction, weakened by her death. The doctor expresses his doubts, but also his deep understanding.

To arrange his mother's funeral, the protagonist seeks help from a kind elderly man with whom he has daily interactions, and later in the story, he gets to know the elderly man's daughter. During this time, the protagonist begins to understand the system that comes with Rebirth: a development-oriented system with an interface, a shop, and soldiers. He can take on various missions, which reward him with cash and improve his current life. As a high school student, he takes a part-time job at a coffee shop, which also serves as a disguise. After helping to complete a guardian mission, he begins to develop his own power and embark on the path of development.

I recommend this book to everyone because, on the one hand, the author wants to preach on Qidian, and on the other hand, the story is truly engaging. While the writing is a bit naive and the cultural differences make it a bit awkward, the treatment of the mother, the plot, and the setting are all innovative. I initially thought it would be a Tokyo romance novel, but it turned out to be a superpower development novel. However, I hope the author can distinguish between the review standards of different platforms to ensure a smooth launch and allow for a longer book.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment.

I will update one chapter today, and I don’t know when the next one will be. People who play badly are always so cool.

Thank you Teacher Xiaobei for the recommendations as always!
