Chapter 1454: Comments on "Am I the Only One Who Hasn't Ascended?"

Hello everyone, I am Cang Yiwei.

Today I would like to recommend a new book by a great author to you.

Am I the only one who hasn't ascended? , His Majesty the King, a great writer.

Category: Xianxia-modern cultivation.

Summary:
After waking up, everyone in Lingshan ascended to heaven.

Newcomer Wang Luo automatically replaced him as the next mountain master.

Is this the price of being a loner?

【Brief Comment】

He has many works under his name, the most representative of which is "Once Upon a Time, There Was a Spirit Sword Mountain", which has a very good reputation and quality. Last time he also took on a custom article, the reputation was not so good.

This time, he did something slick again, imitating squids by sending out a new book announcement, but it didn't attract many fans to collect it. It's been several days since the official release of the book, but the collection still hasn't exceeded 10,000, and there are only two or three leaders.

Despite this, I still read all the chapters of the new book in one go. Editors often tell us that new writers need to scan the charts more often, but don’t scan the new books of great writers because they have their own traffic and you can’t learn from them.

I wouldn't recommend imitating the opening of King's new book; you might not even be able to sign a contract. The story follows a group of people at Lingshan who ascend to heaven in one day, leaving only the protagonist, Wang Luo, who is in the process of achieving a breakthrough and fails.

The good news was that he had become the leader of Lingshan. The bad news was that he was a Foundation Establishment cultivator, and the previous leader was his senior sister, a woman of both beauty and wisdom. She had become the supreme leader of the world, writing a multitude of messed-up rules that had transformed Lingshan into a ruined, forbidden place.

After waking up and walking out of the mountain gate, the protagonist happens to see a tour guide taking tourists there to make a living, only to be met with a throng of tourists taking advantage of their seniority and getting a low price. The deeply distressed female tour guide, a descendant of Lingshan's outer disciples, exclaims at the first sight of the protagonist, "How strange!" The protagonist, seemingly unfitted for clothing, is forced to explain himself and demonstrate his skills, only to be accepted by the female tour guide. As the two journey, they exchange information and sights, absorbing each other's knowledge.

The overall style of this book remains playful and humorous, with a touch of Spirit Sword Mountain, the author's signature style. Unconventional xianxia fiction is also a very popular genre these days, and the author needs to be adept at using memes and writing jokes. Otherwise, it can be awkward. This book is okay; some key points are well-placed, while others are a bit off.

The book's shortcomings are also quite obvious. The background introduction is far too long, almost taking up two prime chapters. The author's powerful writing style manages to create a fresh spin on the rather dull background introduction, showcasing the sect's grandeur from a thousand years ago, and also taking up a considerable amount of space to contrast it with the present. The story progresses only through the protagonist's awakening, the arrival of the female tour guide, and the arrival of her husband, who takes him home for dinner.

In a previous official interview with the author, he stated that the new book will strive to create a very interesting Xianxia world. So, fun is enough, and the story will be slowly developed. I wonder what everyone thinks about this book? Do you like it? Are you still looking forward to it?

It's hard to say, let time tell. I just hope the data comes out soon, at least to look better, and not fall flat.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment.

I’m Cang Yiwei, and I’m here to promote “Cang’s Ramblings”.

Welcome to the paradise of book reviews.

【Cang's Ramblings】

The computer monitor I just bought arrived yesterday morning, a day early, which is a good thing. I've been playing games for two days, and I haven't quite gotten into it yet. I actually fell asleep while writing.

This is not the first time this has happened. It is due to age and some health supplements.

Otherwise, what else will happen?
