Chapter 587 Factory
It's somewhat ironic, really; things always take unexpected turns. He initially thought these mutated marine creatures were the real problem, but Alexander's attack proved him wrong.

Well, this is definitely not some mecha monster movie… Roger thought to himself.

He was unaware that the purpose of mutating these marine creatures wasn't to actually pose a threat to humanity... but rather to make humanity perceive them as such. As for their current role... it was to guide Logan and Alexander.

"What is this?" Alexander asked, puzzled, after using a high-speed water jet to wash away the blood and flesh. "It looks like that ashtray in the conference room."

Upon hearing this, Luo Gandao's lips twitched... It was the first time he had seen the ashtray on the conference table, and he hadn't expected it to be so intriguing. He had wondered why such an ashtray was placed so far away from everyone. Later, Mu Xiang described it to him, and he realized that only a small part was exposed, and it was impossible to move it as an entrance.

The bureaucrats at the central base were all heavy smokers, and the rate at which cigarette butts were produced during meetings was unbelievable. So, below the somewhat decorative entrance was the massive ashtray itself. While the Central Continent Team couldn't help but marvel at the bizarre aesthetics of the future people, Zheng Zha had to admit it was quite good.

“It looks… even more outrageous than those ashtrays.” Luo Gandao thought for a moment and replied, “The space below is even more outrageous. I’ve already seen the scannable parts, but what else is below? We have no idea.”

Alexander pondered for a long time, but still couldn't come up with a solution: "And there's another problem: should we go in or not? If all we see inside are these kinds of mechs, then it's not so scary. But if we want to get in, how do we get in?"

Luo Gandao couldn't help but scratch his head. This really wasn't like playing a game where you just follow the clues... Now Mu Xiang had disappeared, Zheng Zha was missing, and Zhang Jie was silent. He didn't know who to ask.

Wait a minute, isn't he a newbie? Why does it seem like he has to consider everything?!
"Then let's wait and see?" Logando had barely uttered the words when he instinctively wanted to explain to Alexander. Then he realized that with the translator of the supreme god, Alexander would fully understand what he meant.

Alexander seemed to curse on the other end, "We can't get in touch with headquarters right now, so we have to make the decision... I just released the backup record box. If something goes wrong, the old man and the others can use this to review the situation or provide support."

Luo Gandao sighed. Even something like this was prepared; it just goes to show how well-prepared the base was.

However, after waiting for most of the day, the huge structure below, resembling the opening of a jar, remained unresponsive. They had expected drones to emerge from within, allowing them to attempt to enter and at least deploy a reconnaissance robot. But in reality, nothing happened.

"Those mechs couldn't have just appeared out of thin air, could they?" Logandau felt increasingly uneasy, while Alexander over there was already cursing, "Could it be that someone inside is controlling this place, and since they sensed we've broken in, they're not opening the door again?"

What's this guy after?

The next moment, electricity surged from the canister, connecting to the two mechs before Logandao and Alexander could react. Logandao felt a sense of foreboding, but the mechs remained undamaged… not only were they not destroyed, but there wasn't even a system malfunction. “What’s going on?” Even the usually fearless Alexander was now somewhat tense; he had genuinely thought something terrible was about to happen.

Logan shook his head, though Alexander couldn't see his reaction... He mentally reviewed the electrical pulse weapons he'd encountered before; if their purpose was truly lethal, they couldn't have escaped unscathed. Judging from the branching of the current, it seemed to be a probe using discharge as a medium?

Before he could finish his thought, Alexander roared, then the cockpit alarm blared, and the two mechs were swept into a sudden, surging vortex... The canister opened.

Being inside the mech, Logandao naturally didn't have to go through any suspenseful scenes of falling unconscious and then waking up. Once the mech stabilized, Logandao fired a flare first. As the flare's light ignited in the darkness, illuminating a small corner, Logandao and Alexander both fell silent.

It turns out the tank we scanned earlier wasn't complete... it was only a scannable portion. This is a vast underwater space, and the previous metal structure is merely the tip of the iceberg compared to this space. Because that enormous metal object, which appeared terrifying from the outside, was simply a transitional area within this vast space.

Through an ingenious pressure relief system, this space, existing beneath the seabed rocks, is able to communicate with the outside world. Whether it's the drones that went out earlier, or the Logan and Alexandria that are now entering, they all have to pass through this structure.

In the light of the flares, a small area in the distance was illuminated… where stood hundreds of drone mechs, identical to those seen before. Yes, it was just a small, randomly illuminated area. The entire size of the underwater space hadn't even been calculated yet; based on this estimate, the number of drone mechs within was immeasurable!

Logan and Alexander were both highly trained individuals. Once the structure above was sealed off, the seawater could no longer suppress their mechs. Therefore, they were both hovering in the air, witnessed this scene, exchanged a few words, and then descended.

There were so many drones here… it was like a factory. Because the scale was so ridiculously large, the numbers that had appeared before seemed insignificant compared to this, so they didn't react impulsively or open fire. Just as the two were descending, light shone down from above, dispelling the darkness of the entire underwater space.

“This is fucking...it’s practically a mech factory.” Alexander muttered to himself, repeating the same phrase over and over. “I’ve never seen anything like it here, and of course, I’ve never seen it in the United States.”

Luo Gandao gradually calmed down. It seemed this was the surprise Zhang Jie had mentioned. Judging from what he already knew, this was either a factory discovered by the Zhongzhou Team or part of their plan. Before he could ponder how the Zhongzhou Team could set up such a massive mecha factory, countless rays of light converged from all directions, forming a huge holographic image in the air.

He was a bespectacled, expressionless man who began to narrate in a flat tone things that neither Logand nor Alexander knew.
