Dragon Ball Arrives in Marvel
Chapter 549 Odin's Collection
Chapter 549 Odin's Collection (Bonus Chapter 2)
Odin glanced at Jane, then said, "No."
"Or rather, I don't have the method to keep you alive and extract the ether particles."
After speaking, Odin glanced at Thor and Jane Foster.
"As for Jane, Thor, you show her around first."
"She can stay in Asgard for the time being."
Thor smiled and said, "Yes, Father."
Odin then looked at Smith and said:
“Smith, there are some things I’d like to discuss with you, and I’d also like to show you my treasure trove.”
Smith followed Odin into Odin's treasury. After a few seconds of silence, Odin spoke:
"You must know about the recent spectacle that the nine kingdoms will converge and the nine realms will become one."
Smith nodded: "Yes, with the convergence of the nine realms, the distance between them will no longer be so great."
Odin continued:
"Even Hela, who is sealed in Helheim, can observe the outside world through this phenomenon."
"I know you've been there a few times. How did your talks go?"
Upon hearing Odin's words, Smith Doyle remembered that Hela had asked him to take some food and wine with him when he left last time, and he smiled and said:
"Not bad. We've made plans to have a drink together next time we meet."
Odin was somewhat surprised, then spoke:
"It's good that she doesn't reject you. I'm really worried that the girl will be as stubborn as a mule and unwilling to communicate with you."
Then Odin sighed and said:
"Actually, after all these years, I don't know how to face my daughter anymore."
Smith Doyle heard Odin's words but didn't say anything. It was someone else's family matter, and he could just be a listener without offering any opinions.
Odin rambled on for a while, and seeing that Smith Doyle didn't speak, he ended the conversation by saying:
“If you reach an agreement with her, let me know, and I will break the seal and inform the people of Asgard that I have an eldest daughter, who is still the eldest princess of Asgard.”
Smith Doyle looked at Odin with some surprise. It was quite unexpected that he had chosen to release Hela ahead of time instead of waiting for her to break free after his death.
"Okay, I'll talk to her about it next time we meet."
After thinking for a moment, Odin said:
"She must be missing the aged wine from her hometown too. I'll have someone send you a batch later, and you can take it with you."
Smith Doyle nodded and did not refuse.
He also really liked the Asgardian vintage.
Odin then showed Smith Doyle his collection: the Infinity Gauntlet filled with counterfeit gems, the Box of Ice, the Eternal Flame, the Heart of Frost, the Heart of the Earth, the Sphere of Agamotto, the Monument of Life, the Eye of the Sorcerer, and so on...
Odin, seeing Smith Doyle's slightly bewildered expression, chuckled and said:
"I can help you reforge your armor. I may not be able to grant you the blessing of the gods, but I can certainly enhance it with runes."
Odin had clearly seen that Smith Doyle's suit was a modified version of the Destroyer armor fragments, but the artifact he had used to pave the way for his son was now useless.
Upon hearing Odin's words, Smith Doyle pondered for a moment. He currently possessed two Infinity Stones, and with his current power, using one or two barehanded would likely be his physical limit. To use them all, he would need a divine artifact like the Infinity Gauntlet. As for upgrading his suit, Smith Doyle didn't see much need for that.
"I am very interested in the Infinity Gauntlet in your treasure vault. I wonder if you would be willing to part with it?"
Upon hearing that the item Smith mentioned was the Infinity Gauntlet from his own treasury, Odin fell silent, his eyes scanning Smith up and down.
"It seems your desire for the Infinity Stones is even greater than I imagined."
"I can give you the item, but there's one thing I need to remind you: Earth already holds more than one Infinity Stone, and there are multiple forces in the universe collecting them."
Smith nodded solemnly:
"I'll pay attention."
Picking up the gloves and looking at the gems embedded in them, Odin laughed:
"Those are all fakes."
Smith waved his hand and removed all six gems from the Infinity Gauntlet, then put it on his right hand.
As Smith put on the Infinity Gauntlet on his right hand, the enormous gauntlet began to shrink continuously, quickly becoming the same size as his palm, fitting perfectly on his hand.
Smith flexed his fingers, feeling very satisfied. He then took out the Tesseract from his storage space and, in front of Odin, crushed it with all his might.
A burst of blue energy shot out, shattering the Tesseract into fragments and revealing the Space Stone inside.
Smith Doyle seized the Space Stone and placed it on the Infinity Gauntlet.
bite·!
With a crisp sound, the Space Stone was embedded into the Infinity Gauntlet. A blue energy spread out from the gauntlet, climbed up Smith's right arm, and then slowly faded away.
Seeing Smith effortlessly wield an Infinity Stone, Odin guessed that his bloodline must be extraordinary and he was definitely not an ordinary Earthling. This was an Infinity Stone, not a Tesseract with a protective shell; the conditions for using the two were completely different.
Ordinary life forms, let alone mastering the Infinity Stones, might not even be able to use their power even if they risked their lives. And looking at Smith, he doesn't have a tail like any other Earthling.
"With your strength, you are capable of mastering the Space Stone, but I don't recommend that you wear it so openly. Believe me, attracting attention like this is not a good thing."
Smith Doyle knew Odin was right. Many people in the universe didn't care about the Tesseract because they didn't know that it contained the Space Stone. But if you were to wander around with the Space Stone, it would be enough to attract the attention of other powers.
However, Smith Doyle didn't care. He knew that the strength Odin sensed was only his normal combat power. When necessary, Odin could unleash the 10x Kaioken.
Of course, he didn't care and there was no need to wear it all the time. With a thought, Smith Doyle stored the Infinity Gauntlet directly into his system space.
Odin, unaware of where the Infinity Gauntlet had gone, nodded in satisfaction.
"Now that the Nine Realms are about to be unified, the space will be quite chaotic. If you don't have anything else to do during this time, you can stay in the Immortal Palace."
Smith nodded. Only by staying could they save Queen Frigga, and it would also be a good opportunity to test just how powerful the Cursed Warrior really was.
After all, it was incredibly easy for the opponent to hit Thor; he could even send Thor flying with Mjolnir, something neither Hulk nor Thanos could do.
"Okay, I'll go visit Thor then."
