Dragon Tribulation of All Realms
Chapter 333 A Dessert Before Departure
Chapter 333: A Dessert Before Departure
Wu Chen left the continent of Westeros.
He was still dressed as a wandering knight, but after pulling on the reins, he traveled from the south of Dorne to the north of Essos. The first thing that caught his eye was the rebuilt Braavos, where the Titan that once stood at the mouth of the bay had been replaced by a massive living being—undoubtedly the creation technology that had flowed from the City of Miracles.
It stood there, roaring at the passing ships. The reconstructed Braavos moved naturally back and forth at the giant's feet. And these Braavos, far stronger than before, were adorned with bronze, the same material as the Titan's shell.
A greeter, slightly unexpected by Wu Chen, awaited at the giant's feet.
It is Joan of Arc.
Of the six beings he created, Joan of Arc was the only one transformed from a living person, possessing a former family and friends. He assigned her the simplest and fewest tasks. He had previously believed that Joan would return to her family, or at least remain in Westeros.
"I am your Holy Maiden, and nothing else."
The blonde girl with long braids bowed to him, her hand on her chest. She now bore a striking resemblance to the Servant Jeanne d'Arc that Wu Chen knew.
"Everything I have belongs to you, and if there is anything that doesn't, then I will give it all to you."
She said her eyes were flawless and pure. Without a doubt, she would do everything she could for Wu Chen.
Wu Chen had nothing to say.
He didn't say it, but Joan of Arc did it. In the blink of an eye, the Saint Maiden was draped in a simple cloak, even more plain than the one worn by the Witcher, which concealed her figure. As the knight's attendant, she followed behind him.
"...You rebuilt this city?" Wu Chen's eyes twitched, tacitly acknowledging the conclusion. He spurred his horse forward, while the Holy Maiden lagged behind him.
“I rebuilt a part of it.” The blonde saintly girl brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. “The rebuilder of Braavos was Lady Skadi. While she was rebuilding the order of the sun and moon with Lady Morgan, she took some time to create the outline of the city and recreate its inhabitants. My main responsibility was simply the reconstruction of this giant.”
“Skadi and Morgan aren’t ‘adults’ to you. They’re just different roles compared to you and the others; the difference in power doesn’t mean anything,” Wu Chen corrected. “Where is Skadi now?”
The Holy Maiden readily complied with good advice.
"Skati is currently inside the House of Black and White. As the deity of this city, she is worshipped and revered by its inhabitants. She still has some loose ends to finish with the task you assigned her. That's why she couldn't come to see you immediately. Would you like to summon Skati now?"
“No need.” Wu Chen waved his hand. “It’s good that she’s conscientious. I didn’t set a time limit for her to finish the work I assigned her. But time really doesn’t matter. Let’s go see her.”
Wu Chen pulled on the reins.
Joan of Arc fell silent, simply following quietly behind him. Along the way, Wu Chen took the opportunity to observe the local customs and traditions. He bought some things and exchanged a few casual words with some passersby.
The results were quite good; the city's reconstruction went largely smoothly. While pedestrians on the street might appear somewhat stiff and unresponsive due to their unfamiliarity with the process, they were adept at bargaining and their responses varied considerably depending on the customer's tone.
Soon, Wu Chen saw Skadi in the Black and White Courtyard, who was in a flustered state. Just as Wu Chen entered the temple, she completed the weaving and reconstruction of a piece of the city's history.
“You’ve come…” Her ears were slightly red, perhaps from shyness. Her hands and feet, hidden beneath her magnificent purple robe, seemed unsure of what to do. But as Wu Chen approached, she still managed to tilt her head back. “I…I just finished the last task. I’ve completely accomplished the task you entrusted to me!”
This is true.
Wu Chen could clearly sense the harmonious rhythm flowing in the air. Just moments ago, the Alaya system on the continent of Essos had been successfully woven—all souls now shared a common sea of destiny. And the spirituality of life would thus rapidly appear within every flawed body. So Wu Chen reached out his hand to her.
“Well done.” He didn’t hold back his praise, and while Skadi was slightly dazed, he gently ruffled her hair—her long, pale purple hair was quite lustrous and felt wonderful to the touch. The queen, who held divine authority, blushed, her heart raced, and her voice and movements trembled slightly.
"I'm glad you're satisfied..."
She murmured, her body naturally leaning into Wu Chen's arms. Undoubtedly, she was seeking a hug.
“Skadi has always been very attentive.” A voice interrupted her.
A familiar voice, and one that clearly didn't get along with Skadi.
Wu Chen slightly raised his eyes and saw Morgan, dressed in a black dress and with silver hair, standing at the side entrance of the palace, bowing to him. There were still traces of spatial fluctuations on her body, indicating that she had just rushed to this city, which Wu Chen had chosen as his first stop.
“…Morgan!” he gritted his teeth.
Ice and fire have never been able to coexist peacefully.
Morgan tilted her head slightly, as if she wanted to say something to Skadi. However, when Wu Chen raised his other hand to beckon to her, she immediately ran to Wu Chen's feet and placed her soft little head in his palm.
The feel is indeed different.
But it does feel quite comfortable to the touch.
The surrounding space stirred once again, and after the first visitor appeared, the subsequent visitors naturally followed one by one.
"Hmph!" Lilith pouted, or rather, looked aggrieved, at the Black Night Greatsword hanging on Wu Chen's belt. She was a demonic sword forged from the Iron Throne, and clearly preferred to act as Wu Chen's weapon rather than live independently.
"Master, I've gotten a little stronger!" Melusin was as energetic as ever; she had indeed gained something from the battle in the Northern Territory.
“Aaaaa——” And Tiamat, who should have been still in New Valyria, also appeared silently at the entrance of the palace inside the House of Black and White.
They have all arrived; they have completed the task entrusted to them by Wu Chen. The reshaping of the continent of Essos is complete, and the entire world of ice and fire is now in a new order.
So……
“My Creator.” He saw Morgan slightly raise her head towards him, her usually cold and beautiful cheeks flushed with an eager blush. “You promised us a reward if our work satisfied you. Then…”
"...Are you satisfied?"
Wu Chen's lips twitched slightly.
Well, I've just overcome the difficult part. Making a fishpond isn't a bad idea.
