Chapter 2: A Fall

Of course a gun can't kill a dragon.

Even if the caliber of this gun were ten times larger and its power were ten times greater, it would still be impossible to do this.

To be able to outrun a high-altitude civilian airliner with its flesh and blood, the biological material parameters of this dragon must be incredibly absurd. And if this creature wasn't completely flesh and blood, then it must represent some kind of unearthly power.

scream.

The enormous dragon's shadow swept past again, and the passenger plane swayed from side to side in the turbulent air currents. Surprise, excitement, disbelief. A complex web of emotions, boiling with frenzy.

"Everyone, please calm down!" The flight attendants reacted and shouted to maintain order. They pushed those passengers who wanted to unbuckle their seat belts and gather around the windows back into their seats, and calmed the incoherent and excited crowd, asking them to stay seated.

"Everyone please return to your seats and fasten your seat belts!"

They made an effort.

But their efforts yielded little benefit.

Many people ignored the advice and stood up from their seats and crowded to the windows, occasionally emitting bursts of excited screams.

"There it is! There's the dragon!"

"It's hiding behind the clouds...it's coming again!"

"Take it down, take it down! We're going to be on the news!"

Some people pulled out their phones, snapping photos outside the windows. Many more were beaming with joy, dancing with joy. It was as if they were at some grand event, about to be the center of everyone's attention.

——Not good.

Amid the crowd's enthusiasm and the crew's bewilderment, Wu Chen gritted his teeth.

He gripped the gun tightly—tight, feeling the weight. He took a deep breath, staying calm. He found the safety, flipped it on, and then snapped it off again.

This gun will come in handy.

It will come in handy soon.

My 'friend' would never do something without a purpose. Regardless of whether this dragon was related to that friend or not, the most important thing I should do now was...

Close your eyes.

Recalling the feeling of falling asleep, recalling the feeling of answering the phone. As long as he could return to his dream now, he would have a crucial bargaining chip in his hand.

So……

'boom--'

There was a muffled sound.

The cabin suddenly became quiet, and for an instant, no one spoke.

"Squeak!" Something ripped a piece of paper, and a sense of silent oppression immediately settled over everyone in the cabin.

There's something there.

Something huge, majestic, and towering like a mountain.

Something that must never be touched, never probed, never peeped into, and never offended.

It's there.

It's right at the top.

The wind in the cabin suddenly stopped flowing, and a thin line silently extended from the front of the cabin ceiling to the rear.

A crack, a fault line. Decompression and cooling should have occurred immediately, but the narrow crack was like a phantom, without affecting anything within the cabin.

Because it's there.

The dragon is there.

The golden-red dragon eyes scanned from the front to the back, passing over every living creature, but it seemed not to be looking at any target.

Then, there was a soft sound.

a voice.

'Rii Vaaz Zol——'

A whisper that sounded like a dream talk, but could ring in everyone's ears - and at the moment the first byte of the sound rang out, Wu Chen suddenly raised his gun and pulled the trigger towards the dragon's eyes behind the gap!
'Bam—! '

There was a loud noise, a huge flash of fire. However, the gunshots were not accompanied by screams or fear.

"Boom—" The wind suddenly blew up. The dragon eyes behind the rift disappeared, and the entire plane suddenly began to tremble. Something invisible swept through Wu Chen's body, and he suddenly felt an incomparable fatigue. However, before he collapsed, a sudden burst of searing heat from the gun barrel supported his body.

This is a gun.

But before it became a gun, it was still a "strange object".

Although I don't know exactly where its 'magic' is manifested, but when the trigger is pulled and it is used, it should have activated most of its effectiveness.

"Bang——" Something fell to the ground.

Wu Chen turned his head and saw the flight attendant who had been trying to maintain order collapse. Meanwhile, the noisy and chaotic passengers also collapsed silently onto their seats and in the aisle, becoming silent.

Wu Chen took a deep breath and looked at his rowmate—the middle-aged man with a large belly, sprawled across his seat. His face was pale and he was completely silent. He reached out and touched the man's neck, feeling for the artery, but there was no response.

he died.

Then the same should be true for others.

The plane's vibrations grew more intense, and oxygen masks suddenly popped out from every seat. However, the warning bell that should have sounded immediately was silent.

Everyone in the cockpit must be dead.

A silent fear welled up from the depths of his heart. It pushed him, forcing him to leave immediately. His hand, gripping the pistol tightly, was covered in sweat. The trembling in his heart turned into gnashing of teeth.

"damn it."

The plane shuddered again, tilting violently, and pitched downward due to the loss of balance. Wu Chen didn't hesitate any longer. He pulled his life jacket from under his seat, donned it, and immediately put on his breathing mask. As he did so, he strode toward the front of the cabin, stepping over the pale corpses, and aimed the butt of his gun at the cockpit door, about to strike hard.

wrong.

The movement stopped at the moment the strike landed.

The feeling of fear grew stronger and stronger. Wu Chen suddenly turned his head and looked at the nearest corpse - the pale skin was withering and turning black at a speed visible to the naked eye, and a pale blue halo was silently bursting out from the surface of the corpse.

what is this?
What does this mean?
The dragon's appearance and voice were increasingly familiar. Add to that the corpses and the halos, and Wu Chen swore he'd seen something similar in a game or anime. Even if he racked his brains, he couldn't come up with an answer. He knew these faint lights meant something terrible.

evil Dead.

Zombies.

The thought flashed through his mind as he strode towards the rear of the cabin. Even if the Desert Eagle could unlock the door, it wouldn't be able to close it. Rather than taking a gamble on this, he preferred another, more feasible option.

Got to be quick.

A little faster.

He strode over several corpses, their dark blue glow growing more intense. And when Wu Chen's hand touched the restroom handle, the dark blue eyes of a withered corpse lit up!

"Roar—" It suddenly stood up. Its arms swung, tearing at everything that stood in its way. But at that moment, the bathroom door had already been successfully opened.

There was no one inside—how could anyone possibly be inside the restroom when a dragon was lurking outside the window? The next moment, Wu Chen swiftly and precisely closed the door. As it locked, he heard a series of terrifying roars and gnawing sounds from outside!
They're right outside the door, they're gathering in groups.

There were no dying sounds of the unconverted being torn apart, but a strong sense of weightlessness rose rapidly from every corner in all directions.

About to fall.

Although it is unknown why the automatic cruise control did not work, the plane was about to crash.

The tilt wasn't a strong feeling; at least it wasn't a spinning straight line to hell.

Wu Chen gripped his pistol tightly and made sure his life jacket was properly donned. He prepared for the impact as he remembered. Then, he held his breath.

"I'm ready," he said.

he said to himself.

Then...

A roar sounded.

Vibration, impact, dizziness.

Accompanied by pain that swept through the body and the roar of the explosion.

I've opened a new book. Anyway, please collect it, recommend it, and ask for it_(:з」∠)_
